Da ildo In Lucca

Definitely worth mentioning in the Fuori Casello restaurants, as it's practically right next to the Lucca Ovest exit. What can I say other than to go for a lunch break, but if you can, make a reservation, as the place is small, as they say in those parts. The dishes chosen from the menu are excellent, with just the right proportions that don't weigh you down, especially if you then have to continue your journey. The only thing I'd say is that they should be more attentive to the service, as sometimes orders slip, or rather, they forget. From what I've seen, if they fix this too, they'll be great. They're already doing great!

Simple atmosphere, good food, and generous courtesy. Notice the care they took to prepare a simple salad! I was lucky, because even though I hadn't booked, they sat me down. I returned for lunch, with the fixed-price menu, but everything was already booked.

A good option for a midweek lunch break. Service is quick and efficient, ideal for those on a tight schedule. The set menu (tested at lunch) offers a few dishes with a very reasonable price-quality ratio. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming: a no-frills, no-frills place.

I found this place by chance and it's become a firm favourite. Every time we go to Lucca, we can't help but go there. Delicious food, very fair prices, excellent value, and the staff are truly friendly. You can tell they're passionate about what they do.

A typical Tuscan trattoria with minimal decor, vintage photos on the walls, and shelves full of wine bottles. We were greeted by a somewhat "rough" waitress, but thankfully followed by a kind and attentive one! The tordelli with ragù were delicious (the meat in the ragù was not very coarse), and the paccheri (very al dente) with octopus (a bit rubbery). Affordable prices.
