07/05/2026: We were pleasantly surprised by this small but welcoming place. They offer a wide variety of wines and excellent cocktails. We ordered a tuna tartare, which we slowly savored, and which opened up a world of unforgettable aromas and flavors. For dessert, a homemade tiramisu with a delicate yet flavorful cream, which, besides being delicious, is also stunning to look at. It was beautifully and meticulously presented. All accompanied by sparkling wine. We will definitely return to this newly renovated place. Thank you, Costantino and Mama, you are truly the best. We really needed a little place like this in Lucca.

08/12/2025: The place is centrally located and overlooks Piazza Napoleone. The square is gorgeous, but the venue isn't so much. The venue is chaotic and dirty; the outdoor seating isn't a seating area, but two umbrellas with heaters that don't work, leaving you cold. The pizza is just mediocre; the only positive is the manager, who tries to be friendly. There are better and cheaper options in the area.

11/05/2026: Big fans of the restaurant and go there often. We were there Sunday May 10 for dinner, inside. We were seated next to a couple who had a lot to say about their meals. It was a complicated meat order, shared, and eventually not to their liking. The very good manager came to check that all was ok, they said Yes all good. They then turned on him when they finished the meal. The manager rightly said that they should have alerted him to a potential problem when asked, or even later, and he would have solved it. It was an unedifying situation for the Manager, who was excellent in his explanations to a very difficult customer. I am writing this in the hope that should this person complain in this or any other forum that there is very much another side to the story.

11/05/2026: We wandered in by chance on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised. The appetizer was "Alici alla povera" (Anchovies "Poor Man's" style), excellent! The tortelli with meat sauce were also excellent and truly delicious. The aromatic herb and citrus risotto was perhaps a little overcooked, but still good. For dessert, a creamy basil sauce with red berries and chocolate was interesting. The staff was friendly and efficient. The place was very beautiful, but the acoustics weren't great.

01/03/2026: Starting with the very welcoming and comfortable venue, my partner and I had a great time. The service was warm and the dishes were truly exquisite. Furthermore, the staff described the dishes in detail. (We each chose an appetizer, a first course, a dessert, and a glass of still water.) We were passing through on a trip, and it was an excellent stop. We recommend it; good value for money. Absolutely.

10/05/2026: It was my first time at this restaurant and we had a wonderful time. The quality is excellent, from appetizer to dessert, and the service is prompt. We really enjoyed the panzanelline served with the bread and the limoncello at the end to cleanse our mouths. Finally... I've been working with customers for years and I know when the staff is good, and here I found truly excellent staff, attentive to the customer, kind, always smiling and approachable, and this does you credit because it's truly rare...It was a real pleasure spending this Saturday evening here with you!

06/05/2026: I don't understand why they don't change the name here on Google Maps, since it's called Madame Sophie! A fabulous location, but breakfast has some issues The place is truly enchanting, with attention to every detail and a rare aesthetic. There's just a bit of confusion about its identity: the sign outside says **Madame Sophie**, but officially it still seems to be called **Pazza Idea**. As for breakfast, highlights and shadows: * **Brioche:** Excellent dough, fresh and very pleasant. * **Presentation:** Everything was meticulously crafted, from the dishes to the cappuccinos (which are beautiful to look at, even if the flavor is a little less intense than it looks). * **The downside:** The Chantilly cream disappointed us. It tasted too much like cream and not enough like actual cream, resulting in a lackluster experience. ** **Positive note:** Despite the small flaw with the breakfast, we saw some truly inviting-looking lunch dishes pass by. We will definitely be back to try the cuisine, because the quality of the dishes that came out seemed excellent.
