18/07/2025: Went there for an apertivo. Since we were not Italian we were not served an apertivo but only drinks. Had to ask to get what was actually included. Feeling cheated is not a good feeling when leaving an establishment.

The cuisine is of good quality, prepared with appropriate techniques and beautifully presented.
The service is good quality in an elegant and peaceful setting.

It's a shame the prices are a bit out of line; €15-20 for a sandwich without fries is a lot, even for the center of Lucca.
The quality makes up for it, but it's not a place you'll go very often.

Personally, I had a bit of difficulty orienting myself in choosing the sandwich because there are so many different options, I had to wait a bit too long to eat in my opinion, but the sandwich is good and well filled.

For me and my wife, who have three small children with celiac disease, it was a truly wonderful surprise.
The desserts are even better than traditional gluten-free ones. 🔝 ❤️ 🔝

She prepared and large table for our group and although she had limited English and we had zero Italian, she made it work and made us laugh throughout the evening. The pasta was delicious and so fresh it was made to order! (Monica even showed us the hand-cranked pasta machine in the kitchen, and talked us through how to make pasta!) I would 100% recommend giving this gorgeous little restaurant a try!!
