25/01/2025: If you’re in Lucca, make sure you make your way here. The staff is great, it was an easy order system (write your order on a piece of paper and hand it in), and the food was fantastic. Spiced right, excellent portions, and fairly priced. We will be back.

The staff is very kind, PATIENT and always attentive to the needs and intolerances of customers.. whether they are children, adults or elderly... 05/03/2025: All very good and plentiful! 4 of us ate lunch with 2 children... With 2 starters (very good) you could even be full. However, we continued with Tortelli alla Lucchese, Pappa al pomodoro and Lasagna. Everything excellent. Friendly and nice staff! Genuine Tuscan cuisine. Highly recommended. Go there hungry!

25/03/2025: Excellent quality and price ratio, young environment, clean and fast service. Good starters, with a wide choice of course it is not fished in our sea but if you are lucky maybe you will find the first courses good, perhaps the pasta is a little overcooked, the seafood soup is good and then a vast choice of second courses from the sea bass to the skewers that you see in the window and which you can choose from and of course the fried foods etc. etc. finally the desserts are also good and a decent price which is around 35 euros each...really good.

31/03/2025: Good pizza even if a little extra salt didn't hurt, it was scarf, the broccoli on the other hand had the taste of vinegar, so I deduce that they were not fresh but simply those bought in jars. Even the omelette was bland.

Abbiamo alloggiato, fatto colazione e cenato presso il Rio Vorno e la nostra è stata un' esperienza più che positiva. Camere accoglienti, colazione e cene ottime e abbondanti, pratico pranzo al sacco da portare in fiera. Giovanni è stato inoltre di estremo supporto nell' accogliere le nostre esigenze di lavoro e personali (intolleranze alimentari e una gestante nello staff). Lo consigliamo caldamente

09/03/2025: The owners are very nice, the environment is nice and clean, specializing in first courses which they make with excellent products and the care of home cooking. I had lunch with a client and we enjoyed 2 fantastic sea carbonaras, abundant and rich in fresh fish and I say this as a fisherman, followed by a fantastic apple pie made by them, coffee and water... I forgot that we started with a welcome tasting offered by the hostess of bruschetta seasoned with the excellent local oil, a friend told me about an excellent first course on wild boar. We spent 34 euros between 2 of us, therefore a truck stop price and 4 star quality. All in the small village which is still served by a convenient car park 100 meters away. Very highly recommended.

24/03/2025: We were pampered and looked after with attention, but without being suffocated by the presence of the staff Well-prepared dishes and very good quality of food, very interesting selection of wines. Excellent service! At the end of the meal we ordered coffee, immediately after I accompanied my daughter to the bathroom, in the meantime the coffee (according to the head waiter) was no longer hot and he had it remade on his own initiative. My daughter is not greedy, but she likes chocolate, the owner brought her a gluten-free chocolate to make her happy... and she succeeded! I mentioned these two small gestures because, they do not have a high cost, but make those who receive them very happy. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

06/04/2025: I'm not used to writing reviews, also because I've never had the opportunity to find a place that deserved sincere praise. But this is a place that I would define as rare! Rare because it is not the usual trattoria ruined by mass tourism, where you are welcomed by a listless, rough and half-hysterical woman who seems to be doing you a favor by serving you mediocrities sold at prices out of context. Far from the chaos, in a charming and magical village, you enter this little place where Irene's smile welcomes you. A sweet girl who smiles at you with sincere eyes, friendly and very polite. An informal environment, one in which you immediately feel at ease. To make everything even more pleasant there is Elena, graceful, smiling and with a gift.... golden hands! Her dishes are made with love and the honest prices she offers show the seriousness and skills of this girl, who loves what she does and her territory. Personally, it took me back to when, during my lunch break, a dear lady from Villa Collemandina cooked me my favorite dish, with the care of someone who knows how to prepare real local cuisine. This rare young woman, Elena, had the intelligence to focus on simplicity and honesty. Compliments.
