Tasty and flavorful appetizer. The Garmugia or Gramugia soup is a beautiful discovery. We found the cuts: a little nervous (the one with colonnade lard) and poorly seasoned - with little cheese - (the one with radicchio and gorgonzola). Correct cooking as requested. We expected larger portions. Medium-high prices. Kind service.

Tonight we tried the I MACELLI tavern.
The tavern, located a few steps from the historic center of Borgo a Mozzano, takes its name from the ancient premises from which it was created.
Stone arches, wooden tables, wicker chairs and other details make it rustic but elegant.
Impeccable service with friendly and highly trained staff.
Excellent cuisine offering tasty and balanced local dishes.
Top quality zero mile raw materials such as handmade pasta.
We tasted:
Two Tuscan appetizers with cured meats, local cheeses and croutons,
Two cuts of Argentine Angus with herbs and side dishes.

We were welcomed by a lady with refined and elegant manners who described the menu and the dishes of the day. All products are 0 km. The menu is varied and is a local experience. Excellent wine list and fine, carefully selected meats. There is also the possibility of finding, like this evening, white truffles with tagliolini. Furthermore, here you can enjoy homemade bread with a tasting of oil, kindly offered.
Although the staff has been decimated by the flu, the manners are always polite and kind.
Excellent premises and excellent atmosphere.

Location accogliente, atmosfera calda, personale gentile e attento. Le cuoche propongono una scelta valida tra antipasti, primi, secondi e dessert, tutto di qualità. I piatti proposti hanno un’ ottima qualita/prezzo. All’esterno del ristorante è presente un ampio parcheggio. da tornare

Ambiente molto curato, atmosfera calda e intima. Cibo ottimo e super curato, piatti abbondanti. Prezzo più alto della media della zona ma la differenza si vede eccome!! Altamente consigliato per chi viene da queste parti!

Had a wonderful dinner- well worth the drive up the mountain. We had pasta with white truffles followed by veal steak. Would definitely recommend.
