07/10/2024: Lasaña y espaguetis eran deliciosos. estaban muy ocupados durante nuestra hora del almuerzo, pero manejaron el servicio de manera eficiente.

26/01/2025: For years I have been passing this hotel thinking that I should stop at least once to taste their dishes... and I finally did. After trying it, the thought was "Couldn't I have come here before?", so I added it to my list of favorite places.
Immersed in the suggestive internal cloister of the Hotel Number Nine, a few steps from the Duomo, the Nine Bistro is a true gastronomic gem. Few dishes but prepared with care and a menu that changes often.
The environment is simple, elegant and intimate: an outdoor terrace framed by plants, a few carefully set tables and a piano that creates a unique atmosphere, perfect for a quiet lunch or a romantic afternoon tea. In terms of furnishings, they could be a little more daring to make the environment more unique.
The kitchen offers a few dishes that mix tradition and innovation and, between us, it does it well. We tasted:
Fusillone with fresh pesto with stracciatella and pistachio crumble: A harmony of flavors where the freshness of the pesto dialogues with the creaminess of the stracciatella and the crunchiness of the pistachio.
Elephant ear with datterini tomatoes and Cantabrian anchovy: Exceptional quality meat, impeccable breading. Although the dimensions are much smaller than the classic Milanese dish, the combination with the Cantabrian anchovy gives a surprising complexity of taste.
Seasonal vegetable caponata: Meticulous preparation that enhances authentic flavours, a hymn to the simplicity of fresh ingredients; portion a little small.
The service deserves a special mention: kind, professional and attentive staff, who make the dining experience truly memorable.
I must admit that I would have expected higher prices given the city and the location, but instead I was impressed and I must say that the quality-price ratio is honest, a rarity in the Florentine gastronomic panorama.
The Hotel has an exclusive Club inside, Daisy's Restaurant which offers interesting evenings of high level music only to club members (maybe also to external guests but I don't know).
For those who are not members, like us, it gives the possibility of access to the Nine Bistrò, both for lunch and breakfast.
I want to go back and try the greenhouse on a rainy day, it must be very evocative to eat in there with the sound of drops on the greenhouse.

16/09/2024: Nous avons mangé le dernier jour de notre séjour à Florence, dommage que nous ne l'ayions pas découvert avant car le service est rapide, les plats variés, nous avons pu nous asseoir facilement , et c'est plus sympa que l'étage ou l'on mange certainement très bien mais ou le bruit est trop important .
Il faut manger au moins une fois au marché central de Florence lors d'une visite à Florence pour l'ambiance et la diversité des plats préparés.
