01/11/2025: This was the best place we visited during our trip to Italy! We stayed at the agriturismo and joined a winery tour. It was a private tour just for our family, and we were able to learn about the history of the winery and taste delicious wines, which was great! The wine explanations were so thorough, it felt like a fun wine class! Located in a quiet village, it was a truly healing experience! This was the best place we visited during our trip to Italy! 30/10/2025: We dropped by completely spontaneously, without calling ahead. We received a very warm welcome, were offered a wine tasting, and each wine was explained to us in detail and with great enthusiasm. It was not only interesting, but also wonderful to see how passionate someone is about their work. We found several wines there that perfectly match our tastes. Highly recommended! 🍷

11/03/2026: A lovely little place, intimate and tidy. The service was kind and courteous, the food was good, varied, and well-cooked. The house wine, a good red reminiscent of Chianti, was also served. The price was more than fair. We tried the appetizer and two different first courses, both very tasty.

29/03/2026: We had a number of outstanding meals during our week in Cortona, and this restaurant experience stood out among them. Food was top notch (local classics well executed) and service was excellent throughout. Our visit was during the off season, so we did not need a reservation and sat in a room with a large party (and an even larger celebration was happening in an adjacent room--yet our small party enjoyed a quiet meal)...we went for dinner and it was dark, so we didn't get to enjoy the views but their location is perfect for taking in beautiful views of the valley below Cortona. Starting with the "mixed fried foods" (delightful mix of fried veggies, polenta, cheese) with prosecco, then pici with fumo sauce and secondi with chianina beef (tried both the filet with wine sauce and slices with truffle butter)--we had a wonderful meal. A nicely breaded chicken filet with fries was offered to our young son, who enjoyed his meal as well (children's menus are not typical in the region). Dessert (chocolate cake with mascarpone and berries, along with amaro and cappuccinos) and local wine (Cortona syrah) were perfect additions. We highly recommend Ristorante Tonino!

The food particularly amazed us: from the lightness of the asparagus flan as an appetizer, to the delicacy of the risotto with zucchini flowers and pine nuts, to the bold flavor of the blueberry pappardelle with white Chianina ragù. 04/01/2026: A restaurant with a very nice and warm indoor dining area and an outdoor dining area. Very friendly and fast service. I really appreciated that they served the girls first, which isn't typical for everyone. The pizzas are delicious. My daughter asked for a pizza shaped like a heart and she was happy with it. Good value for money.

28/01/2026: Passing by this place, we were intrigued by the comments we'd read, so we immediately asked: why not try it? It was a little past the most convenient time for a restaurant (1:50 PM), and we know it well, but they accepted us anyway. Our first impression was that the waiter was a bit grumpy (and the presentation at that hour certainly didn't help), but the food was a huge winner! We each ordered a main course with just one side and a dessert, forced by the "travel" factor, but we would have gladly tried other options because we were so spoiled! The Grand Carte was excellent, with some preliminary planning that we greatly appreciated! The guinea fowl was very delicate, beautifully presented, with a special touch: the exposed bone with the fried end, giving it a different texture than the main dish… the pici were excellent, cooked well, the onion cream was delicious and delicate, the contrast with the crispy pancetta was perfect, the pepper garnish was spot on, and above all, the customer could choose whether to use it or not… the cabbage flan was excellent… The dessert: the deconstructed millefeuille deserves applause! The pastry was crispy, the cream had a well-balanced texture, and the salted caramel was the perfect finishing touch for someone like me who doesn't like extremely cloying desserts! The young lady (the chef's sister) highly recommends the white chocolate tiramisu, which we'll be back to try! ☺️ The restaurant was very tidy, clean, and bright, and it's in an excellent location with a lovely view. I didn't see the other rooms, and I didn't look too closely because we wanted to vacate them as soon as possible. We'll definitely be back and trying more, but in the meantime, I'd happily recommend taking a break from them because they deserve it!

The sushi is simply top-notch: the quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite. The restaurant is meticulously maintained, and the atmosphere is pleasant, complemented by extremely attentive and caring staff. Of course, the prices aren't all-you-can-eat, but they are absolutely in line with the high quality of the food and service offered. A guarantee for those seeking quality and safety. 10/11/2025: Last Sunday, I went to this restaurant in Aboca for lunch with my friends after a trek. A well-kept place, young staff, and a nice menu. Excellent service from two attractive young women. If I may offer a piece of advice, in such a large, rustic, and beautiful room, installing an electric heater is not only pointless, but also an eyesore—a real shame. You'd need to invest a bit of money into a nice wood-burning stove, perhaps a cast iron one with copper pipes. Besides making the room much more beautiful and welcoming, it would also heat the very cold environment for those sitting down to eat. That said, I'd recommend this place, but not in the winter.
