An excellent restaurant in a setting that evokes a bygone era, evoking fond childhood memories. The food is excellent, and the meat, which you can choose from the cut and variety right from the display case, deserves special mention. The tortello alla casentinese, which is truly exceptional, requires a lot of work in the kitchen.

There were 6 of us there, and obviously we all ordered different things. The waitress came to take our order without ordering, or rather mentally, and at that point we already knew there would be a mess with the dishes, and sure enough:
no sooner said than done!
They made extra dishes that we hadn't ordered, and then we ate them, so as not to have them returned and possibly thrown away. They charged us ALL for them, even the ones we hadn't ordered but that they made wrong. At the cashier, there wasn't even a hint of a
"discount," but whether that's fair or not is a matter of opinion...
Another stupid thing: we ordered water more than once and it wasn't brought to us, and we had to ask for it over and over again to get 2 bottles of water. Because obviously, you can't remember everything from every table.
I mean, nowadays there are systems that send the order directly to the kitchen or the bar, and it seems absurd to me to go by memory in 2026!
However, for the rest, the food is very good and the food is good. There could be a big step forward with the service and then it would be an excellent restaurant, much better than others.

You come to Porcavacca for the substance: everything is about the meat. The Florentine steak we ate was beautifully charred on the outside and rare on the inside, as it should be. The atmosphere is informal, and the staff always has that Tuscan charm that makes you feel at home.

This was our first visit on a cold Tuesday evening. Well worth our walk!
We are new to Arezzo and our Italian language skills are very poor (we just started lessons). The staff were very gracious and helped greatly by helping us in English.
Our Steak was perfect! Our total experience was outstanding!

The restaurant is truly excellent: as soon as you enter, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home.
The meat is of excellent quality, incredibly tender and cooked to perfection; you can really taste the care taken in selecting the ingredients.
Special praise also goes to the ladies in the dining room: they manage to take all the orders by heart without writing anything down, and, even more surprisingly, they never make mistakes. A rare display of professionalism.
If you're passing through Arezzo, this is definitely a place you should try. Highly recommended. ⭐️

A normal lunch
We had an appetizer and a first course.
Crostini with lampredotto. In my opinion, it was sliced too thinly and difficult to eat. The pappa al pomodoro was below average. The first courses with Chianina beef ragù were good, and the pasta was also very good. Good service, a little slow in taking our order, but quick. The place is very nice, but very noisy, but that's part of the atmosphere.
