20/08/2025: A "Neapolitan" pizzeria on the Follonica seafront that refuses to serve two takeout pizzas in the height of summer because you don't book in the morning. Do you really need advance notice like you do for a CT scan? 🤯 Instead of seizing the opportunity to have hungry tourists ready to buy, here it almost seems like they're looking for the perfect excuse not to work. 🤦‍♂️

12/09/2025: The week before Ferragosto (August 15th)... I wanted to spend a day at the beach with my grandchildren. From the parking lot, we stumbled upon Tropicana Beach for convenience. I asked if there was a beach umbrella available, and the asking price was €50 for four people. I explained to the lady that it would be fine (even if there were four or five of us in a row), but that there were three of us, plus a four-year-old child and a newborn. With a knowing eye, she told me that I would then have to get two umbrellas for a total of €100 for a day at the beach, and that she couldn't do otherwise out of respect for her customers (,,, even though she explained that my eldest grandchild and I would be spending the whole day playing on the beach). I'm giving it 5 stars because, thanks to the not-so-kind lady's suggestion, we moved two or three beach clubs away, where for €30 we found what we were looking for, and with the €70 saved, we discovered an excellent restaurant (in the same beach club) that made our day even more enjoyable.

11/06/2025: Always very nice and suggestive. The pizza is thin, crispy and good made with quality raw materials. On tap in addition to the lager beer there is the possibility of asking for the red beer that I prefer and that I can say is very good and full-bodied. This time we opted for the pizza but usually the food in the restaurant is also very good. A special mention for the spaghetti di mare al cartoccio. Excellent value for money.

14/09/2025: Tourist trap Nice only for the location. We made a reservation for 6 for lunch. We sat down and waited 40 minutes for our order to be placed. (The restaurant had 32 people in total, including us.) We had opted for 2 seafood gnocchi, 3 spaghetti with clams, and 1 spaghetti with tomato sauce. After about 15 minutes, the waitress came to tell us that the clams were out and offered us an alternative, which we accepted. After another 20 minutes, we were asked if it was possible to make all seafood gnocchi. We said yes. Served after 35 minutes. The chef was moving around the tables instead of in the kitchen. We waited so long only because we were on vacation, but NEVER AGAIN. The prices were too high, 3 euros for a cover charge with placemats that absorb oil. After asking for more bread, the waitress, very annoyed, brought us two slices of bread. At least the gnocchi was good.

03/09/2025: We visited this restaurant recently and I must say that the setting is truly beautiful, with attention to detail and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was a bit windy during our visit, which slightly detracted from the experience. The food, however, was outstanding: each dish was well-prepared, with excellent ingredients and meticulous presentation. You could feel the attention paid to the quality of the ingredients and the cuisine. The staff was fairly average: courteous but without any special attention that would have made them stand out. All in all, a good experience, with some small margins for improvement.

23/08/2025: Delicious ice cream. Interesting presentation. You operate the ice cream machine yourself. Then pay by weight. Great flavor.

12/09/2025: The food and ingredients are certainly of good/excellent quality, but the prices are unjustified for the type of place and service, which is a shame.

18/08/2025: Horrible service, they ignored us basically most of the time we were there, the food was very bad quality for its price, half of my lobster was empty of its meat. Wouldn’t suggest going here for anyone trying to have a good meal.

10/08/2025: Didn’t expect it but the dinner was great! Pasta with clams was so delicious and the fresh fish was cooked well, not dry at all. Polite waitress and very attentive to special requests.

25/07/2025: We wanted to eat gluten-free pizza here, but the online reservation we had confirmed the day before was canceled the following day without any explanation. Luckily, we hadn't left yet, otherwise we would have wasted two 30-minute drives and had no restaurant for dinner.

28/02/2025: Excellent takeout pizza! I ordered a Margherita and a Diavola, both delicious. The crust is light and crispy, and even though it was takeout, it arrived hot and perfect.

26/02/2025: I had the pleasure of trying this pizza and can say without a doubt it was a fantastic experience. The crust was perfectly crispy yet perfectly soft, with an authentic flavor that immediately evoked tradition. The fresh, high-quality ingredients enhanced every bite, from the stringy mozzarella to the rich, delicate tomato sauce. The combination of toppings was balanced and well-crafted, making every piece irresistible. If you're a pizza lover, this is definitely a must-try. A true delight that will make you want to come back again and again!

19/07/2025: If you pass through Badia Prataglia, you absolutely must stop at this bar. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and the food is delicious. Every time we ride our mountain bikes through those fabulous places, we stop to try the delicacies, and while we wait, we read so many funny phrases posted everywhere... highly recommended.

22/08/2025: A well-maintained beach resort. Terraces for enjoying aperitifs and sea views. Excellent bar and restaurant service. Friendly and professional staff. Ample parking. Average umbrella prices. Highly recommended.

23/07/2025: Visited on January 18, 2025. A small, quaint café opposite the theater. Friendly staff, easy to chat with. I ordered a cappuccino and a brioche, both delicious and very reasonably priced. If you're passing through Volterra, I recommend stopping by for breakfast!

03/07/2025: It's really reasonably priced, and the owner is charming and takes pleasure in entertaining her guests. It's definitely a little trip back in time.
