30/08/2025: We ordered caccio e pepe pasta - a small portion, nothing special in taste. Polpette in tomato sauce with mashed potatoes - tasty and a decent portion. Deer tartar with truffle - bland, without sorbet it would have been boring. Plus, we were told twice that there were no juices or tea, only Fanta/Cola and coffee, because "we are a restaurant, not a bar" 🙄

07/08/2025: It's a temple of meat; every time I go, there's something new to try, and it's always a perfect experience. Federico, the owner, is a true enthusiast, and when he describes a dish on the menu or the various selections of aged meats, he has that smile and a twinkle in his eye that shows someone who truly loves what he does. The location is well-kept and intimate, both in winter (inside) and summer (outside), and the service is always excellent. For me, it's the number one restaurant.

21/08/2025: The food is good and the price is fair, much less than other sushi places, maybe it has fewer dishes but in the context it's more than good... the only flaw is that the waiters are almost never there and you have to get up to ask for drinks or etc.

16/08/2025: A very nice place with good and fresh sushi. The staff couldn't speak English so we had to point to the menu and use google translate. Otherwise we had a good experience. The dessert was ok.

18/08/2025: I stayed at Villa Nencini and was truly thrilled. The location is perfect: just steps from the historic center of Volterra, yet nestled in a tranquil setting with a splendid view of the Tuscan hills. The property has an authentic charm, with spaces that retain the typical atmosphere of a Tuscan villa. The rooms are comfortable and clean, some with truly breathtaking panoramic views. A highlight is definitely the pool, surrounded by greenery and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, always ready to welcome you with a smile and offer helpful advice to make the most of your stay. In short, Villa Nencini is the ideal place for those seeking authenticity and relaxation, all just steps from the wonders of Volterra. I will definitely be back!

09/08/2025: A lovely hotel for relaxing. About a 5-minute walk to the center of Volterra. We booked with breakfast included. Breakfast was okay, but the service left something to be desired. Nevertheless, we can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

26/08/2025: Vowed to have a gelato in florence, it feels like one should. Randomly picked this place. Had choc mint and cheesecake ice cream in a tub. Does not sound like would go but was divine. Bellisimo. Omg thought would eat a bit and chuck because too many calories. Ate whole tub. Thick like a New York cheesecake with strong, juicy cherries and big bits of chocolate in the mint choc. My head is now turned to gelato despite the damage to the waistline. If you want gelato no question. This is the place to go on a mission to find. Think around 6 euros but could be wrong cannot quite tell from payments in app.

Buono l impasto buoni gli abbinamenti e sopra tutto , nonostante il servizio poco veloce, che però è abbastanza attento, si sta davvero bene, offre sala giochi, e l informalita del posto ti fa sentire come tra amici! Assolutamente da provare. Prezzi economicissimi!

10/07/2025: Da Leonardo, dal 2017 ci andiamo ogni anno durante la nostra settimana di vacanza in Toscana. Ceniamo lì almeno 4 volte durante la settimana e ogni volta è una meraviglia. L’accoglienza calorosa, la generosità del padrone di casa, la qualità dei piatti rendono ogni visita un momento eccezionale, fuori dal tempo. Tutto è impeccabile, in un’atmosfera conviviale e sincera che fa di questo posto un indirizzo davvero speciale. Complimenti allo chef, che sa esaltare i buoni prodotti senza mai una nota stonata. È solo un piacere. Complimenti a tutti.

02/09/2025: The guy called Claudio ruins the whole vibe. Arrogant, annoying and totally incompetent. Food is ok, but sad experience. Don’t go! Also 100€ for 3 plates and 3 drinks.

21/08/2025: I often come to Castiglione for summer holidays, and my go-to place for seafood is definitely Romolo. I've been several times and the experience is always top-notch. Excellent ingredients, well-cooked, reasonably priced, and extremely friendly staff make all the difference. A round of applause for the truly talented chef.
