22/08/2025: I returned to this restaurant and found it to be a truly special place, with a welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful decor, and excellent background music. The food was a pleasant surprise: I tried several shared dishes and everything was delicious, especially a delicious reinterpretation of classic Tuscan crostini. The only downside was the somewhat inconsistent service; at times inattentive and almost aloof.

31/07/2025: I returned to Bottega Roots after a long time away, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. While I used to go there just for an aperitivo, now it's a real pleasure to sit down with friends and enjoy dinner while listening to good music. We ordered a few mixed plates so we could share everything and try more; and it was all delicious! I absolutely loved their reinterpretation of Tuscan crostino nero! Everything was perfect except for the service. A little more smile from the bartender and a little more attention from the waitresses would make this place perfect! See you soon!

20/08/2025: This place is one of the few in the area, and indeed in Tuscany, where quality and price match. An aperitivo with endless snacks is a delight. The staff is always friendly and smiling. I recommend it to everyone.

19/08/2025: Excellent pizza, light dough, thin and easy to digest, well-seasoned. Dining on the ditches is a delight. Valentina is a wonderful hostess. Family-style cooking and fair prices. Definitely recommended for those who don't want fancy places, but are looking for authenticity in both the food and the ambience. Well done!

30/08/2025: Upd2025: disappointed, the waitress does not know the composition of the cocktails, how does she want to sell them? either write down the composition of the cocktails, or give a hint to the waiter . there were four of us, we drank cocktails, they brought us 1 bowl of chips and 4 pieces of bread with mayonnaise. it used to be better ... Nice place ! Great cocktails! Very nice staff! will be back! ;)

29/08/2025: Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, but the drinks were unfortunately rather sparingly mixed. This was the thinnest Long Island Iced Tea I've ever had. Even the Aperol and Hugo were very skimpy.

03/03/2025: Da tempo frequento questo posto perché è vicino a dove lavoro e ogni tanto mi concedo un pranzetto veloce o merendina gustosa. Servizio perfetto e cortese. Il mangiare è ottimo come cucina casalinga e salutare. Quando posso mi ci fermo volentieri per farmi una coccola :) Consiglio vivamenteeee🫠

08/09/2025: The restaurant has a welcoming, family atmosphere. I ordered the roast beef with potatoes and beans, which were truly excellent. My dad chose pizza, while my mom chose porchetta in focaccia: all the dishes were extremely good. The chef, besides being very talented, is also incredibly friendly. I'm giving it 5 stars only because I can't give more!

01/09/2025: Very cozy place. Very nice hosts. Very good food. 2 menus: fish or meat, take a pick from either for starter,first/second main, finishing up with a great tiramisu. Hosts also speak German. Easy 5 stars

24/08/2025: Dream vacation! We stayed as a family at this beautiful property in the Val di Chiana and couldn't have asked for anything better. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean, equipped with every comfort and with incredibly comfortable beds. The view of the Tuscan countryside, with its sunflowers, is something you'll never forget. Extremely kind staff: Nadia was always available, friendly, and very professional, and Mr. Franco also welcomed us with great courtesy. We chose half-board and ate deliciously, with traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with care. The dining room staff was truly impeccable. The pool is large, clean, and has plenty of space to relax. The property is dog-friendly and perfect for families with children: my niece was thrilled! Lots of green spaces and the opportunity to even experience flying thanks to the on-site school... truly exciting! Excellent location for visiting the Val di Chiana, Val d'Orcia, and even Umbria. Breakfast served in your room was a real treat, a real treat. A special thank you for the attention paid to my brother-in-law's birthday: cake and sparkling wine provided by the staff, a gesture we greatly appreciated. We were treated with great care. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

17/07/2025: I'm not giving the rooms stars because we didn't stay overnight because we live nearby. Yesterday was my daughter's third birthday in a row at the Serristori in Castiglion Fiorentino, Manciano to be precise. An afternoon at the pool with my daughter, the birthday girl, and my family, as well as her friends from school. A place can be beautiful and fulfilling, but people like Nadia at the front desk make it unique. A very kind, yet serious and meticulous young woman, always ready to offer the service requested by the guest, such as an aperitif by the pool or a hairdryer because we didn't have one. Then in the evening, I asked her for a fork and knife that I was missing, and she also gave me a new napkin. I told her I had one, and she replied that I had dropped it (two seconds earlier, and she was quick to notice) and so she was giving it to me clean. True customer service. Exceptional pizzas, and with the constant presence of Franco, one of the partners, always smiling and welcoming. Well, if you haven't yet tried the relaxing pool and good food, give them a try. They're also a great place to soar, with their landing strip for small planes and helicopters, offering a bird's-eye view of the Valdichiana from Cortona to Lake Trasimeno. See you soon....

28/07/2025: uno dei migliori ristoranti che ho provato all'isola del giglio. Molto bella la location con una terrazza vista golfo e tramonto spettacolare. Personale molto disponibile e discreto. Servizio veloce e soprattutto ottima cucina, sia nei piatti di mare che di terra ed eccellenti dolci.

28/07/2025: Secondo la nostra esperienza, è il miglior ristorante del Giglio! Terrazzo panoramico meraviglioso, menù ricercato ma fedele alla tradizione con ottima ricerca e cura della materia prima. Prezzi più che onesti in base alla proposta. Complimenti anche per il servizio molto curato, professionale ma allo stesso tempo simpatico e familiare.
