16/08/2025: Friendly and attentive, the pizzas and pasta dishes were truly delicious.
Prompt service and more than fair prices.
We've become regulars now.
Trying is believing.
However, the experience confirms the previous review, even though a recent change of management has taken place.

20/08/2025: The restaurant doesn't have air conditioning, only fans. The location is very nice and welcoming.
The portions for two courses are average; the first courses are good, but the second course leaves a little to be desired. The tomato salad is made with unripe green tomatoes, and the cordon bleu is homemade, but a bit too greasy for our taste. The quality, however, is average.

12/07/2025: The place isn't inviting at all, and I found it depressing... after a less than pleasant initial impression, I have to say I ate REALLY WELL! The price is a bit high, considering the place is a bit too basic and in a far-from-central area. I'd recommend revisiting the furnishings and lighting, and the place would certainly benefit from it, as the eye also wants its share.

10/05/2025: Very plentiful food and also quite good, the fish/shellfish portion I'm told was notable (I can't eat it), the spaghetti squirts are good but you have to like garlic.
Very helpful staff and attentive to requests, simple environment with outdoor seating.

Excellent dishes and freshly made main courses, including the most classic cutlets dipped in egg, breaded, and fried to perfection. For a meal without a doubt in an area that's not exactly busy, but if you happen to be here and it's lunchtime, you'll hit the jackpot.

Exceptional Florentine steak with excellent red wine.
Pan forte with spectacular Vin Santo.
Excellent Italian cuisine, well done!!

05/09/2025: What a special place! Under new management and boy is it terrific! The pasta is so fresh, the risotto is on point, the pizza so thin and the wine list is amazing. Chef Enrico can cook! The front of house is handled expertly by Mark! It is super clean and a very welcoming place. They even have a garden area for seating. Located steps from the Duomo. Don’t miss a fabulous lunch or dinner here (or both)!

03/09/2025: I stopped by for a simple takeout sandwich. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. The sandwich was good. 😊
16/08/2025: From the street, it looks like a normal bar like many others, but by chance we stopped for lunch and were very satisfied.
Various menu, the highlight is definitely the Panzanella, spectacular, 10 out of 10! Very fast service and everyone was very friendly, and best of all, we had lunch with our dog without any problems.
We ate everything: appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and coffee. The bill was from another era, really very fair.

10/07/2025: It was one of the most delicious and varied places on the menu. The service was very good, and the quality of the food exceeded expectations. From the outside, the place looks like a simple pizzeria, but inside, it's full of quality and warmth. They treated children in a special and unique way, something we haven't experienced at any other restaurant in the country. We would definitely return here.

30/05/2025: Der Service war sehr schlecht um nicht zu sagen unhöflich. Sie hat uns „ihren“ Wein empfohlen, alle Empfehlungen im Preisrahmen von Fr. 100.- und höher. Als wir dann einen günstigeren ausgewählt haben, war fertig mit Höflichkeiten. Das Restaurant war auch leer, kein Wunder. Das Essen war ok. Das Lokal sehr schön.

28/08/2025: A lovely surprise in the center of my city...Lucca! The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming, the food is excellent, with excellent ingredients (the tartare and fillet steak are exceptional, and the first courses are excellent)!
I highly recommend it!

23/08/2025: It was the most delicious pizza we have every tried in Italy. We were in Pontedera for 4 days every single evening trying different pizza. Aditionally people there where so friendly to us. If you want to try Perfect italian pizza and expirience cosy afternoon in authentic italian restaurant do not hestitate to go there.You will not regret. Grazie mille da Gino friends;)
