24/03/2026: I stumbled upon this kiosk partly by chance on a Sunday around noon, partly guided by the suggestions of artificial intelligence, partly by intuition (yes, it's open on Sundays too!).
The lampredotto sandwich is absolutely exceptional from the first bite to the last, a perfect balance of textures that makes you want to bite, chew, and swallow pleasantly—a traditional recipe, an extrasensory journey, I dare say.
It's not the first lampredotto sandwich I've tried. And even though it's been several years since the last one, I have to say I didn't remember it being this good: thinly sliced, pleasant, and without any surprising textures, soft on the inside, the bread crust giving a pleasant light crunch right to the end, and satisfying with every bite.
I was so impressed that I had to come back the next day to try the tripe—another 10! 😋
Unfortunately, my stay in Florence was coming to an end, and it's the perfect stop to fill up before a long flight because it's right next to the tram stop that takes you to the airport (you can get off and on again with the same 90-minute ticket).
I also enjoyed chatting with Vladimiro, the owner, who was incredibly kind.
PS: Hi Vladimiro, I'm the one who wrote the books "Pedalando sogni" about the bike trip from Vietnam to Italy! I finally arrived just in time to catch my plane. Best regards!
23/12/2025: The lampredotto sandwich was fantastic, and the tripe was also very good. The place is naturally casual, but the gardens make it even more inviting.
