12/04/2026: We arrive in Cinisi specifically, drawn by the name "terrace" (spoiler alert: the terrace exists, but not for you). They tell us, "Only a half-hour wait." We return after half an hour: "Not much longer." After another 20 minutes: magic! The table overlooking the sea has become a mirage, and the only option is inside... or wait over an hour. Meanwhile, it's 2:30 PM, and finding an alternative is becoming a dream. Organization is at a minimum, and lunch is skipped.

09/04/2026: I've never had the experience of not liking something because of the taste, sending it back only to be told that maybe I make it differently... the dish was inedible and they even made me pay for it! Congratulations, now only tourists can be cheated.

02/02/2026: Cuisine rich in flavors and traditions. A true culinary experience from another era. The hard-boiled egg served with Zibbibbo (a type of zibbibbo) is a special starter. The pasta alla carrettiera is highly recommended, and to finish, the superb cannoli for dessert.

22/10/2025: We went there around 11:00 pm with a friend. He ordered a ramen soup, it was exquisite. I ordered tea. After clarifying that I meant hot tea I received the best tea ever in any restaurant. I received a large Chinese porcelain teapot with great tea leaves inside topped off with two Chinese porcelain small tea cups. The taste and the serving were perfect.

30/11/2025: Today I visited Monreale with my family. It was beautiful. I called a local friend and asked where I could go for a traditional meal, and he suggested Al Matteotti Bistrot. I must say that Enzo and Domenico, the owners, welcomed me right away, making me feel right at home. Reading the menu, I was spoiled for choice, so I left it to myself. They served me some truly excellent appetizers and main courses, typical of the area and truly interesting in flavor. But beyond that, there's so much more to choose from, from sandwiches to salads, etc. When I return to Monreale, it will be my regular stop. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine at a very affordable price. You'll find it just a few meters from the Piazza del Duomo.

09/11/2025: A very pleasant place. Delicious and aromatic food. We were a group of eight. Delicious seafood risotto, pasta with anchovies, spaghetti di sepia, grilled octopus… everything was very tasty and fresh.

07/05/2025: On Sunday we found ourselves in Marineo, they recommended Ten Paolo Agriturismo, we had a great experience to repeat.

21/10/2025: I asked for a sandwich without cheese (since I'm lactose intolerant), and they were very kind to make me one on the spot with tomatoes, anchovies, and olives. It was delicious! The desserts were also delicious! I tried an almond paste sandwich, and my friends tried ricotta calzoncini. Fantastic! Highly recommended!

02/04/2026: Picked up a ‘Due Sicilia’ pizza, a gluten free margarita & a bottle of wine after a v long day travelling . They couldn’t have been nicer, and the pizza? Wow! If these guys opened in London they’d be booked out two years in advance. Highly recommend !!

25/11/2025: Really good Persian kebab. The meat is cooked souvlakily and then freshly grilled. It's nothing like the classic doner kebab you find in Germany. The owner is super friendly and clearly passionate about his craft.
