27/10/2025: We spent both the first and last days of our visit to Sicily in Palermo, and on both occasions we had lunch at Primi Piatti. We enjoyed the food, the friendly service and the surroundings. In fact, it was particularly amusing that our first contact with the owner of the restaurant was seeing her washing some of those surroundings - a niche with a plant down the street from the restaurant - on the grounds that keeping the area clean contributed to the pleasure of being there. And, about the surroundings, it was lovely to be in a quiet, side street, in almost startling contrast to the bustle of one of Palermo's busiest tourist thoroughfares just metres away. All that with good food at reasonable prices made us happy to make a second visit to the restaurant.

13/10/2025: The food was good but nothing special; the dishes weren't generous enough. The carbonara lacked meat. The tiramisu was more like a Nopolitan. The price was very reasonable.

09/11/2025: A treasure trove!! Lovingly decorated and very attentive service. Everyone is so helpful and the food is so wonderfully prepared and delicious! A lovely mix of young and older guests, everyone feels comfortable and there's a lively buzz of conversation and laughter in the air. I'll be back!! 🧢⭐️⭐️⭐️

04/05/2025: Bar Italia in Ficarazzi is a true point of reference. Everything is good from sweet to savory. An ideal place for a pleasant break at any time of the day. Highly recommended!

16/10/2025: Excellent. The pizza is delicious. But not only that, the appetizers are also delicious, especially the fries. The service is always impeccable. I recommend it.

14/10/2025: Highly recommended! My colleagues and I have been going there for years because the pizzas are excellent and the service is excellent. Vincenzo always makes us laugh, and the wines he recommends never disappoint! I've also been vegetarian for a year, and the pizzas are truly delicious and unique.

26/07/2025: All you can eat lunch, excellent variety of menus and everything of good quality, nice atmosphere and excellent service managed by efficient and professional staff, if we really want to find a flaw (but it's personal taste) the ordering system is not digitalized, paper and pen but I won't take away any stars 😅, for this I must be too much of a technology lover 😂, I will definitely go back, recommended

04/11/2025: Buatta is highlighted in the Michelin Guide as a restaurant offering good value for money – a recommendation that initially piqued my interest and prompted me to visit. Unfortunately, I have to say: I find this recommendation completely unfounded. It became clear from the start that the evening would not be pleasant. Since I'm from South Tyrol and my Italian isn't perfect, the waiter repeatedly and mockingly referred to me as "Crucca" – a disrespectful and completely inappropriate comment, especially in an establishment that caters to an international clientele. My companion, who speaks fluent Italian, was equally baffled by this behavior. We had ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings – a concept that usually emphasizes harmony and culinary coordination. At Buatta, however, it felt impersonal and unprofessional. With each course, the waiter pressured me to "finish my wine" so he could pour the next one. When my friend briefly left the table, the next glass of wine was poured without any explanation. Not a word about the grape variety, no description, no connection to the dish. When I later inquired, I received only a flippant, "Nero d'Avola, it'll go with your dish." The wine pairing was a complete disappointment: neither well-matched nor convincing in terms of flavor. The dishes themselves were equally lackluster. The antipasti consisted of three small portions—two with fish, one with meatballs—without any discernible concept or balance. The starter was spaghetti with cuttlefish—an uninspired dish that neither looked nor tasted appropriate for a tasting menu. The main course, salsiccia with potatoes and a bit of broccoli, was simple and more reminiscent of a basic pub meal than creative Sicilian cuisine. The meal concluded with a cinnamon bun with lemon granita—a strange, unbalanced finale that lacked any culinary cohesion. In conclusion: Buatta falls far short of its reputation. Neither the cuisine nor the service reflected the quality or respect one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The wine pairing was disappointing, the dishes unbalanced, and the staff's manner towards guests simply disrespectful. Palermo has many excellent restaurants – after this experience, Buatta is sadly not one of them.

29/10/2025: We had the ravioli and the annelletti and were delighted. The food had a special touch and, in our opinion, it still deserves its Michelin star. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

23/10/2025: We happened upon this place on our way to the hotel on our first day in Palermo. And it stuck. It's become a tradition. A very friendly waiter greeted us from afar every evening, greeting us with a smile. The ice cream here is delicious. The Moretti beer is inexpensive and delicious. I highly recommend it.

05/10/2025: Here you can truly enjoy gelato worthy of the name. Or, as they say in Palermo, "as it should be." Add to that the splendid sea view and the friendly staff...

02/06/2025: Siamo stati nuovamente qui dopo poche settimane …per lavoro ci troviamo spesso a Palermo.Sempre tutto buonissimo e il personale gentilissimo e disponibile.Abbiamo provato due nuovi piatti fuori menù la parmigiana di melanzane con finitura di pecorino e la pinsa amatriciana come antipasti da condividere.Come altre portate abbiamo preso cacio e pepe fantastica e straccetti alla cacciatora.Cibo davvero di qualità.A prestissimo Caligola

30/11/2025: The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as are all the staff. Attentive and helpful service. The dishes are generous and very tasty, made with high-quality ingredients. They were kind enough to let us bring our dog (which isn't a given). We had a great time, and the bill was in line with the meal we enjoyed. We'll definitely be back soon!
