28/10/2025: A fantastic experience for simple, classic with a twist Aeolian cuisine! We had a wonderful dinner while in Salina and would highly recommend the restaurant. Chef Fillipo is a genius when it comes to taking the most humble of local ingredients and turning them into absolute delicacies. Starting with the broad bean soup with herbed ricotta and anchovies a classic Sicilian soup taken to the next level with fresh herbed ricotta and salty anchovies. We both wanted meat for so we chose the black pork sausages and the house made beef spiedini both absolutely delicious and so simple and we both had the purslane salad, foraged from the local mountains and just delicious. The salted mandarin sorbet with Lemon jam was a perfect finish. We loved everything and would highly recommended you visit.

28/10/2025: We were on a sailing holiday and arrived in Salina marina for the night. We chose this restaurant because it was small but busy. We now know why it was busy even for off season. The food was fabulous. The yellowtail was especially good. Although a limited selection the wine was local and good. Highly recommended.

01/04/2026: Everything was good, except that the cream on the granita was the size of a tongue, barely covering 1/3 of the diameter. I asked if I could have a little more, and the lady immediately filled me a small glass. It seemed strange, but then I understood...she charged me 1 euro for a small glass of cream. This technique will certainly pay off, but I'll definitely never use it again.

02/03/2026: I celebrated my son Riccardo's graduation on February 26, 2026, and everything was flawless, just as I imagined. The dinner was truly exquisite, the dishes carefully prepared and delicious, the first courses and desserts greatly appreciated. The second courses were also very good; I personally would have chosen a different course, but the birthday boy had designed the menu, and I didn't want to change anything. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. A special shout-out goes to the dining room staff, who took care of all the guests, both those with special dietary needs and everyone else. Mr. Filippo was always available and attentive to our every request, coordinating the entire evening impeccably. Finally, I would like to thank Natalie, Mrs. Santoro, and the entire staff for organizing the event. We had a wonderful evening in a stunning setting. My son was delighted with everything; it couldn't have been better. Thank you for everything.

25/10/2025: Unfortunately, it's too sweet; I think it would taste good with half the sugar. Also, there's an older man working there who gave me an unpleasant stare, and I almost didn't enter the ice cream parlor because of him.

10/04/2026: Delicious Sicilian cuisine! Excellent service, very welcoming place with traditional food and generous portions. A whole different level of Italian cuisine than we're used to. Highly recommended!

01/04/2026: NOT RECOMMENDED. An hour's wait, in the cold, for a table booked two days in advance. We've changed pizzerias and won't be returning. Reserved Saturday, for three people, at 9:30 PM (second sitting?). We arrived, following the restaurant's advice, at 9:15 PM. They told us to wait because they were "setting up the tables." They asked us to wait outside, in the cold. 9:30 PM, nothing, but okay, that's fine. 9:50 PM, still nothing. They told us the table was "freezing up." We were in the cold but chatting: we could still wait. 10:10 PM, still outside in the cold and with no news. We decided to leave. 10:20 PM, the restaurant called us to let us know the table was ready. Only an hour late, despite the reservation. We were happy to leave our money at the nearby pizzeria. Also because, honestly, waiting an hour in the cold for a pizza like any other isn't worth it. A little more attention, perhaps a complimentary appetizer, would have been enough, and we would have happily waited. Spaurito, however, chose to ignore us completely, failing in his primary role: providing customer service.

Wonderful cat-themed place, delicious food, cleanliness in every detail. The owner, Santi, and his wife are people you'll never forget. Ditto Sebastiana, who waited tables. 04/04/2026: A spectacular place: on a narrow street, with a steep incline and a terrace overlooking the entire street. The service is incredible: they recommend typical local products and are very friendly. The food is very good: the parmigiana is excellent, and so is the octopus. The mixed antipasto is very good. The pasta is spectacular: the rigatoni alla norma is superb, as are the spaghetti al nero di sepia, alla carbonara, and alla bolognese. The fish is also excellent: prawns, calamari, etc. And to finish: amazing desserts: pistachio flan, tiramisu, and a cake that's like a chocolate fondant. Very, very good. Fair price.

15/02/2026: Family-run, the staff is friendly and attentive, ready to fulfill every wish. The food is very good—in fact, excellent—especially traditional and local.

What we liked most: octopus with potato foam, capellacci, tuna tataki, and chocolate ice cream. The bread is excellent (sourdough), and the organic olive oil is a 10/10. 28/12/2025: It was superb. I keep thinking about my (fresh) spaghetti, and specifically the sauce: Nduja, bottarga, breadcrumbs, grilled tomatoes, parsley. Mopped up with scarpette of their home made bread that was delicious. Clean bowls all round. My children had wonderful artichoke hearts that they made disappear in seconds, without offering any to their father. My wife had marinaded prawns of again unknown delicacy. As soon as I return to London I want to try to make that spaghetti sauce. Had an excellent carricante-based Etna bianco 2024 from SRC. Carricante for Etna whites and Nerello Mascalese for Etna rosso are the best wines in Sicily. Dry, saline, savoury, exquisite. My main course was roast pork slices from Nebrodi pigs with charred broccoli that melted in the mouth. I would go back again tonight and have the spaghetti again. I should also add that the service was first rate: two charming knowledgeable Sicilian ladies who spoke English well. What a place!

23/02/2026: Sunday morning breakfast. We waited almost an hour for our table after ordering, which I requested, otherwise the wait would have been even longer. The croissant looked like it was from the supermarket, the filling was good, and the cappuccinos were average.
