27/11/2025: We visited this restaurant after reading the excellent reviews. Our expectations were not disappointed: a welcoming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Caltagirone, just steps from the famous Scala di Santa Maria. The staff welcomed us with extreme kindness and immediately showed their willingness to present the menu, discussing it between courses. The quality/price ratio is remarkable, and the dishes were very fresh and plentiful! Highly recommended! Photos show some of the dishes we sampled.
23/11/2025: We fell upon this lovely restaurant whilst walking round Ortigia at the beginning of NoBennett. Delightful staff, exceptional service, good menu, fabulous food, good value. Paul had excellent swordfish and I (non fish eater) had beautifully cooked chicken escalope. So good we went a second time in our one week holiday and it was just as good the second time.

30/10/2025: Tucked away at the end of a little alley in Acireale lies this gem of Sicilian cuisine. I honestly had tears in my eyes from the meat sauce (and maybe a bit of tiredness, I admit). The Pasta alla Norma I had was truly inspiring. We were warmly welcomed and had an absolutely wonderful meal. *I think a part of me died right there, and went to Sicilian heaven.* Highly recommended!

07/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. A very pleasant surprise! The hostess was very welcoming! We had panelle and tomato-basil bruschetta as an appetizer—delicious!
We chose a high-quality grilled swordfish and delectable squid ink spaghetti! The food is refined, and the waiter explained how the caponata was made—so soft and flavorful! It's actually cooked in a steam oven! The service was discreet, and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. A superb address that I will remember! I highly recommend it; congratulations to this wonderful team!

The atmosphere blended casual and upscale in the best way, and the service was excellent — warm and attentive — with a small but well-curated menu. We ordered the house-made ricotta ravioli with a buttery, creamy pistachio and almond Parmesan pesto, and it was outstanding — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed the pasta with clams, the true treasure of the sea — unforgettable in every way. Overall, a memorable dining experience and absolutely worth a return visit. Saluti

First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!!
Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

22/11/2025: Excellent restaurant in Catania, far removed from the "tourist food" crowd, offering traditional dishes made with quality ingredients. Sitting down isn't a big deal; you can have lunch or dinner here, even with just one course. Good value, above-average quality. The staff and chef are very friendly.

to the first course: seafood mezze maniche

Alessandro is an excellent host.
The dishes are good, well-cooked.
The price is in line with the 2025 costs. It's not cheap, but it's fair.
You don't feel ripped off when you leave, in fact, you think, "I ate well and enjoyed the fish dishes..."
12/10/2025: A truly exceptional place where intimacy and serenity are guaranteed by the limited seating, which also ensures high-quality service, kitchen management, and raw ingredients. All the fish is super fresh, and the entire staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional. A delicious, high-quality menu is "decanted" by the owner directly at the table, at the right price considering we're talking about fish caught practically in front of us, but with flavors that truly deserve a solid 10!
The mussels are excellent, but in general everything we ate was delicious and beautifully presented. 👌🏼 We'll definitely be back.
