A fantastic experience for simple, classic with a twist Aeolian cuisine! We had a wonderful dinner while in Salina and would highly recommend the restaurant. Chef Fillipo is a genius when it comes to taking the most humble of local ingredients and turning them into absolute delicacies. Starting with the broad bean soup with herbed ricotta and anchovies a classic Sicilian soup taken to the next level with fresh herbed ricotta and salty anchovies. We both wanted meat for so we chose the black pork sausages and the house made beef spiedini both absolutely delicious and so simple and we both had the purslane salad, foraged from the local mountains and just delicious. The salted mandarin sorbet with Lemon jam was a perfect finish. We loved everything and would highly recommended you visit.
We were on a sailing holiday and arrived in Salina marina for the night. We chose this restaurant because it was small but busy. We now know why it was busy even for off season. The food was fabulous. The yellowtail was especially good. Although a limited selection the wine was local and good. Highly recommended.
A real pleasure! Among the various establishments in the village that I was able to try, it was here that I found truly sophisticated cuisine, with real cooked dishes where aromas and flavors blend harmoniously. You can feel the care and research behind each dish for very reasonable prices and very good service.
We had a FANTASTIC meal here. From the starting bruschetta to the closing cannolo (which is a must), every dish was delicious! The owners and staff were very kind and conversational - we enjoyed hearing about how they prepare for the year ahead over winter.
20/10/2024: Giro il mondo per lavoro e mi occupo, manco a farlo a posta, di ristorazione. Sono venuto qui al tiramisù 2 volte finora e posso confermare che preparano il miglior linguine all'astice possibile. Semplice, genuino, pochi ingredienti, espresso, buono. Con le materie prime che usano il piatto è da 110. Se cambiassero tipo di pasta sarebbe 110 e lode con bacio accademico. Però non posso assolutamente non menzionare Silvio, valore aggiunto di questo ristorante. Elemento di indiscussa simpatia.
