08/01/2026: Fantastic place, varied food and very well served, professional and attentive staff

15/09/2025: Good for a quick meal, nothing amazing but the flavors are there. Service a little rushed but not unpleasant.

08/04/2026: Cold welcome, ordered a hamburger and spaghetti… there was only a reconstituted minced steak and a slice of lemon on the plate (no bread or anything else). The spaghetti was of no interest, swimming in oil with breadcrumbs on top.

23/10/2025: Good trattoria with a wide selection of dishes at very affordable prices. Friendly staff, fast service. Our dishes were good but too salty 🧂. As end-of-season tourists, we recommend La Bettola. 😉

22/12/2025: We discovered this place by chance, where time seems to have stood still. The atmosphere is refined, with a roaring fireplace warming the atmosphere. We enjoyed an excellent grilled meat and a platter of top-quality cured meats. We'll be happy to return. Recommended!

13/12/2025: A mini museum with a restaurant inside. A beautiful restaurant, very clean, carefully decorated, and filled with many beautiful objects. When I entered, the two fireplaces were off. I didn't dare disturb them, but then the owner and the girl in the dining room (I don't know their names) took care of lighting them. We enjoyed excellent typical Salento cuisine; the broad beans with chicory were delicious, as were the fresh pasta and the mixed grill. Thank you for the service and the bill. It respects the quality of the products. The only question I didn't dare ask: Why is there no wine list, but everything is reduced to: Reds, Whites, and Rosés, when the Cantina Bella is full of beautiful and interesting bottles.

22/03/2026: I was at this osteria in Lecce a few days ago. Seeing that our plan A had gone up in smoke, we looked at the tables outside this osteria, frequented by several people, and decided to stop, unfortunately. Speaking of the food, we've eaten orecchiette elsewhere here in Lecce and paid 18 euros for a dish, but that dish had meat ragù and three times the amount offered here, which also included turnip tops. So, with the cost of raw materials being even lower, I don't think it's acceptable in Lecce, but in general throughout Italy, paying 18 euros for 130 grams of pasta with a bit of turnip tops in it, especially in a place called an "osteria," which in theory should have fair prices. P.S. Let's not bring up Bottura's Franciscan osteria, which has nothing in common with yours.

10/11/2025: Love this place. I have spent 9 weeks here in Lecce working, and this restaurant has the best eggplant parmagiana. I keep coming back. They also have a very friendly staff

17/12/2025: A very cute and original pub where you can spend an evening with friends, as a couple, or with family. Excellent pizzas and sandwiches! Highly recommended!

29/09/2025: Me and my partner were staying in Puglia for a week from the 19th of September, staying one night near Polignano a Mare, 3 nights in Ostuni, and 3 nights here in Castro - we were most excited about this hotel as our friend recommended it to us. Starting off positively, the hotel grounds were beautiful and the location idyllic. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and personable. We were left a little disappointed by the service however. When we arrived we were told someone would fetch our bags from the car and bring them to our room, and after waiting over an hour we ended up having to get them ourselves. We were also told there’s a WhatsApp number to text food/drink orders to from the pool (it looked like the pool bar was closed so maybe why) but when we asked another member of staff for this number they were confused and said they’ve never heard of that before. Having to order food and drink from the pool felt like a mission, climbing up all the steps to then wait at the bar or reception which was mostly unstaffed - then waiting over an hour and a half for lunch and a drink. Not really ideal sadly. I’m sure this was mostly because we visited slightly out of season but I feel like the service should remain the same regardless. We got the standard double room and it was very, very basic. There wasn’t WiFi and when we asked at reception they gave us our own WiFi box which was strange and should’ve been told upon checking in. I’d also recommend adding tea/coffee making facilites to the rooms, there were also only six hangers in the wardrobe and no draws to put the rest of our clothes. I think a lot of updating would make this place a haven. Dinner was (in our opinion) overly expensive for the small portions we had, so we left feeling hungry and decided to eat at surrounding restaurants for the rest of the trip. Onto more positives - breakfast was a big highlight, such a feast! Although does finish early (10 am) so wouldn’t recommend a lie in. And the views from the terrace at breakfast were just divine. The pool was the most tranquil place to relax, we did go to visit the private beach but it was a bit choppy and cold for us this time of year! The hotel also had tennis courts we didn’t have time to use, and a movie theatre outside but not sure how that works as nothing was ever playing? Again, the staff were truly lovely, I hope to come back again and have a better experience with the service and maybe book a better room.

24/09/2025: The location of the resort is truly unique – directly on the cliffs with stunning sea views from many areas, whether from the breakfast terrace or the pool. The friendliness of the staff is also noteworthy; minor issues were resolved immediately. We were less impressed with the suite we booked: The furnishings are quite basic, lacking storage space and comfortable seating, and the patio furniture appears basic. The air conditioning also didn't work reliably and was a bit difficult to operate. Overall, this gives the impression that the resort is in need of renovation and modernization in some areas. All in all, however, the great location outweighs any drawbacks, so the stay will remain a positive memory.

26/09/2025: After a short walk, we discovered this restaurant and were very impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered a classic Margherita pizza – wow, it tasted incredible! The service was very helpful, efficient, and friendly. Everything was perfect.

07/04/2026: The pizza was thin and hard to slice, with a slightly strange-tasting dough for my palate, probably made with whole wheat flour that we didn't order. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The location was a bit strange, with glass windows and a clear PVC curtain covering the sidewalk and platform, and the tables were a bit small for four people. Overall, the experience was mediocre.

07/04/2026: Last night we ordered two pizzas for home delivery. Two marinara pizzas with an undeniably geometric shape, but let's leave that aside. The pizza was made with very thin crust and definitely not white flour. No one asked for whole wheat or four-grain flour. The tomato/sauce was nonexistent and at times acidic. The only positive note: the delivery person was very kind and arrived early.

14/10/2025: We spent our last day of vacation at Cocobay and were annoyed that we hadn't come more often. Simply a great beach bar with friendly service. From the parking service to the extra-wide, comfortable loungers. But above all, we were extremely pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food there. We'll definitely be back.

28/03/2026: The service and atmosphere were like a 1990s neighborhood pizzeria. After more than a quarter of an hour, we were still waiting for a table; after another twenty minutes, we were still waiting to order, and after 45 minutes, we still hadn't received water. The wait for the food was also incredibly long. Two of the staff were friendly, but their organizational skills were seriously flawed. The acoustics weren't suitable for this type of restaurant, but more suited to a pizzeria. Three-star food, but the prices were five-star superior. My companions had been there before and reported a significant overall deterioration. Total disappointment!

13/01/2026: We returned after several years, and we were disappointed to see that the place had changed for the worse. Unfortunately, the food wasn't exceptional either, nothing a good all-you-can-eat restaurant can't offer. It's understood that the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to par with à la carte sushi.

12/04/2026: So many bad reviews for this establishment! Undeserved, of course... Four happy diners at a table in this beautiful vaulted room. For me, the maccheroni pugliese was spicy, but not too spicy, just the right amount. The eggplant parmigiana was superb... The traditional tiramisu was perfect! The spritzes, criticized by some, are excellent. The bread... a true focaccia! Perhaps this establishment has changed hands, but in any case, the value for money is perfect. Friendly welcome! And... complimentary limoncello... In short, you can go without hesitation!

23/08/2025: First time at this Galatina restaurant: the pucce were delicious! It's a shame there's no table service and the rush at the register, both to order and to pay. They were friendly, though. I'm sure that, perhaps by hiring more staff, they'll soon find a solution to make the experience even more enjoyable.
