Outdoor seating area is beautiful. Service is the rudest/worst I’ve experienced in Italy (and I’ve visited 7 times to different areas). One server was very demeaning. She ruined the meal. I would only recommend eating here if you are about to die from hunger. Food was average. Also very strange to pay for tap water that tasted funny.

**An experience worth the trip — I came all the way from Milan** I discovered La Corte dei Simonari on TikTok, and after watching those videos, I decided to make the trip all the way from Puglia. I can say with certainty that it was absolutely worth it. As soon as you sit down, something special begins: they immediately bring you a series of small plates with typical local specialties, one after the other, as if Apulian cuisine came to you all by itself. It's a welcome that immediately puts you at ease and lets you know where you are. The staff was extraordinary — kind, attentive, never intrusive. You can tell they really care; it's not just professionalism, it's passion. The place itself is completely immersive: the stone vaults, the family photos on the walls, the jars of olives and dried fruit displayed like in an old-fashioned home. You forget you're in a restaurant and feel like you're someone's guest. Five stars are not enough to describe this experience. If you're in the area — or even far away — it's worth the trip. I had lunch at Corte dei Simonari on April 19th. I was impressed by the location, which perfectly reflects our Salento cuisine. The owner and staff were very kind and knowledgeable. Their traditional cuisine has nothing to do with the shoddy quality we often find in trattorias today, but is instead the epitome of Salento art, respect for food, and the celebration of simple flavors. It stems from the peasant tradition of creating nutritious meals with few ingredients, often found in reclaimed land or locally sourced. Corte dei Simonari's cuisine is recognized as a form of sustainable fine dining, beloved for its authenticity and homey flavor. Bravo! 👏❤️

A magical place and an unforgettable experience. The owner, who is also the chef, is very welcoming and offers refined local cuisine, prepared with passion and authenticity. I've been there in both summer and winter. In winter, the dishes simmer in the fireplace, in terracotta pots, which gives them an exceptional flavor and an old-fashioned charm. I rediscovered all the flavors of my childhood, those of my mother and my family. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to enjoy a truly authentic gastronomic experience in the Salento region.

A great, typically Salento place. All the traditional Salento dishes are excellent and reminiscent of the dishes my grandmother and mother used to prepare. The atmosphere evokes the atmosphere of times gone by, when people gathered for events and ceremonies, when restaurants were few and far between. The chef is excellent, and all the staff are friendly and polite. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. The wine list is comprehensive, with a focus on local wines, but also includes wines from other regions. Well done!
