14/07/2025: Maden var lokal, lækkert, frisk. Smagte super dejligt. Vi var de eneste med børn, men det fungerede meget fint alligevel. Fik lov til at bestille en børne-pasta, selvom der ikke var børne-retter på kortet. Kan anbefales.

08/07/2025: Das Essen war hervorragend. Ich hatte ein Rindertatar als Vorspeise. Mein Mann wählte keine. Aber sie brachten unaufgefordert 2 Teller und stellten die Vorspeise in die Mitte. Das war sehr aufmerksam. Das Rindertatar war hervorragend. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, jemals ein so perfektes Tatar gegessen zu haben. Engagiert abgeschmeckt und mit karamellisiert Zwiebeln, Kapern und gerüsteten Mandeln war es einfach hervorragend! Auch der Hauptgang, ich hatte Pasta mit Muscheln, war nicht nur mit seiner sanften Schärfe köstlich, sondern auch wirklich so abgeschmeckt, dass es kein Nachwürzen bedarf. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, auch wenn der Service bis auf eine Ausnahme sehr steif war. Das Essen sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Es ist wunderbare italienische Küche!

03/05/2025: It is not a simple location, but an enchanting paradise with a suggestive view of Lake Orta. It was the location of our wedding reception, which, due to its beauty, was able to amaze us and the guests. Marzia, the owner, is very kind and helpful. We highly recommend

13/06/2025: The restaurant is incredibly delicious. It may be a bit pricey, but quality comes at a price. Everything is still within reason and perfectly fine. If you value good, high-quality food, then this is the place for you. The service was also good, and we felt comfortable. We'll be back when we go on holiday there again. Keep up the good work.

31/03/2025: Chiuso ed aperto in altra sede diversa da Mergozzo... con nostra (e non solo nostra, nucleo familiare di 7 o 8 persone con bimbi al seguito) amara sorpresa visto il mancato avviso. (Vedi riferimenti riportati su Tripadvisor e su "dove mangiare a...." e la mancanza di un cartello nella sede di Mergozzo)

18/08/2025: August 15, 2025, terrible experience. The place itself is nice, but it's a shame they made us sit outside on a manhole that smelled like sewer. There was a fixed menu for €53, including a trio of first courses, two second courses, dessert, and coffee. First course: cannelloni, barely two forkfuls to finish it... oh well. First course: gnocchi with sausage, 5 gnocchi each... oh well... First course: tortelli, 3 each... oh well... Second course: a sort of roast, a scant slice cut very thinly each, some even half. Second course: roast duck, not much, which I preferred to leave for those who had received a half slice of roast given the extremely small portions. Desserts: cheesecake, a tiny portion, but it could have been on the dessert if it weren't for the rest. Watered-down coffee, worthy of the worst American. Service time: we sat down at 1:00 PM, got up at 5:30 PM! I'm sorry but I strongly advise against the place, the fixed price is ok, the August bank holiday is ok, everything you want is ok but the portions are to be tasted and the timing is biblical, no, in three first courses the quantity wasn't the same as that of a normal trattoria, with the second courses put together it wasn't even half a dish of a trattoria...

07/06/2025: Overall a nice place. Fixed price menu, a good variety of pizzas. A cacio e pepe that didn't satisfy me but was still edible, a sufficient vitello tonnato, a dish of cooked vegetables adequate. It didn't leave its mark...

29/07/2025: Viajando con un grupo de 33 personas, cenamos en este atractivo restaurante anoche. Pasando por el comedor principal hacia atrás hay un comedor al aire libre con plantas y arbustos. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Empezamos con una ensalada mixta, que tenía muchos trozos de tomate. Lo siguiente fue muy buen risotto de hongos, y una galette de queso y espinacas. Me hubiera gustado tener algo de guarnición en el plato.

20/07/2025: Certo, non sarà il Grand Hotel Et Des Iles Borromees, ma se cercate un buon alberghetto tranquillo, in pieno centro a Stresa, a 3 minuti a piedi dal lago e dall'imbarcadero, con camere essenziali ma pulitissime e perfettamente insonorizzate con bagno con sanitari rinnovati, e letto supercomodo, il Fiorentino fa per voi. Molto gentili il signor Federico e i suoi collaboratori, pronti a soddisfare ogni necessità; convenzionale, ma con prodotti di qualità dolci e salati (veramente ottime le marmellate) la colazione, con bevande calde espresse direttamente dal bar. Prezzo nella norma. Possibilità di usufruire di un ottimo servizio ristorante (che ho già valutato positivamente in passato).

29/07/2025: An unforgettable experience! Motel located between abandoned factories and a bus depot. The rooms were clean but dated, which is a compliment. The air conditioning didn't work, and the windows couldn't be opened due to the huge number of mosquitoes. We asked to bring our bike (sparkling clean) to the room, but they said no, instead having it put in a garage they called "sucuro"... The next morning we went downstairs and found the famous "sucuro" garage located at the back of this motel, completely open and unsupervised! Breakfast was at an adjacent bar, not very clean, but very casual.

17/07/2025: The hotel is well located for travelers. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and adequate for our needs. We would book the hotel again if we were in the area.

03/05/2025: Non una cena, ma una piacevole esperienza tra le tradizioni di famiglia e la cucina tipica locale che si mischiano con profumi attuali in un contesto decisamente moderno. A fare da cornice ci sono Angelo e il proprietario che hanno reso tutto perfetto!

15/02/2025: Avrei voluto dare molto di più a questa recensione per il cibo veramente ottimo, ma il servizio ha rovinato un po' la serata... Ristorante carino pulito e moderno, forse eviterei i fiori finti... Ravioli d'anatra sublimi carne ottima così come i dolci. Purtroppo la valutazione risente del servizio. In carta veniva proposto un filetto di manzo alla senape e un agnello ai carciofi. Adorando i carciofi ed il filetto ho chiesto se si potesse avere questo abbinamento. La risposta secca e' stata non possiamo modificare i piatti. Va bene ma non ho chiesto un fuori menù.ho semplicemente chiesto di invertire 2 condimenti. Esempio spaghetti al pomodoro o penne al ragù...potrei avere gli spaghetti al ragù? No impossibile....mah Ci ritornerò, perché il cibo merita veramente e cambierò sicuramente valutazione. Forse il cameriere aveva avuto una giornata pesante.

26/08/2025: Terrible pizza with (completely raw sausage) pasta with garlic, oil and chilli pepper passable but half a portion the other half they brought to the table of their friends (Olympic dish) who were also surprised by the abundance, first class customers.

22/08/2025: I must confess that, based on the particularly harsh reviews from some guests, we decided to book this hotel, taking a chance, and we were extremely satisfied... proving that people often leave unfounded bad reviews! I spent a week with my family in two beautiful, spacious, and very clean double rooms. The hotel is located in a historic residence, furnished in a classic style with fine features such as the wood paneling in the dining room and the marble in the bathrooms. The location is strategic, just a few minutes' walk from the station and even closer to the charming Piazza del Mercato. It is family-run, and the family is known for its elegant manners and refined hospitality. Breakfast is excellent and varied. But dinner was nothing short of spectacular. The raw materials were of the highest quality, from the excellent meat we would have expected from the area, to the unexpectedly fresh fish, varied and superbly served—from raw to cooked. The first courses were also noteworthy, worthy of an exceptional chef. All at an extremely fair price. We chose to dine at the hotel every evening, and it was a real pleasure to be able to try so many different dishes on the menu. Dinner was served outside in the garden next to the pool, another significant plus for a historic hotel in the city center. Despite it being an unusually hot week for the area, the rooms had perfect air conditioning. We slept really well! We were extremely satisfied and can't wait to return to enjoy the beauty of the place in a different season and try new dishes at the restaurant!

22/08/2025: We spent the August bank holiday weekend. No complaints... excellent location in the historic center of Domodossola, adequate and clean rooms, excellent and plentiful breakfast. The staff was friendly and always available. Pool and small gym.
