Fantastic welcome. Extreme courtesy and availability. The cutting boards and polenta are good (I haven't tried anything else)

5 stars more than deserved. 5 stars not for perfection. because if you look for perfection you won't find it. 5 stars because I have rarely, very rarely found a welcome, kindness and feeling at home. If you simply want to feel good, have a peaceful lunch or snack, this is the right place. There are some "logistical flaws", it's good to know, you are not in a bistro on the seafront! From the car park where you will leave the car to the refuge it is just over 200 meters but it is impassable for prams and strollers. There is also a small stream to cross. The bathroom is outside. The cutting board products are of excellent quality. I'm booking for New Year's Eve 2024!

Eve of the 24th, lunch for ten at the Blitz. Platters of cured meats & typical cheeses with fig jam: exquisite. Below, enjoy dishes of various meats and Ciccia with delicious sauces, accompanied with local Polenta. Good wines. The desserts offered are varied. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. We will be happy to return

Arriving in Domodossola from Rome with my family to visit my brother and my nephews on December 24th, I was surprised to be taken to lunch at the Blitz refuge where we found splendid hospitality from the owners and staff and where we were let yourself taste some local dishes with excellent polenta. We enjoyed a beautiful view and a wonderful landscape. We will definitely be back.

Venerdì 8 dicembre , pranzato assieme alla mia famiglia ed amici , che dire :" luogo magico , mangiato benissimo , personale delizioso , tempi d'attesa particamnete nulli , prezzo incredibilmente onesto , pensavo , visto tutto quello he ci siamo scofanati , di spendere nettamente di più . Eravamo talmente contenti e soddisfatti da aver preteso di ringraziare personalmente lo chef .Ci torneremo SICURAMENTE ," Grazie.

Ottimo pranzo in compagnia, ambiente raccolto e tipico di baita, buone pietanze e servizio gentile e puntuale.

Conoscevamo già il rifugio con la vecchia gestione, ma devo dire che ora la qualità è eccellente, piatti abbondanti e carne cucinata divinamente.Antipasti con affettati e vari tipi di formaggi locali serviti con una buonissima marmellata di fichi.Per finire una buonissima torta Blitz .Bravi ragazzi , gentilissimi e simpaticissimi , torneremo sicuramente magari provando la saletta superiore pure accogliente e calorosa
