24/07/2026: What was positive: We got a table immediately, the service was friendly, and the prices for the buffet and drinks were perfectly reasonable. Now, however, to the food, which was unfortunately mediocre at best. A cold platter and a few haphazardly thrown-together hot dishes. Shrimp, fries, mussels, pasta, and so on. Sometimes the shrimp were served with the fish, sometimes with fries. Everything seemed rather carelessly arranged and some dishes were practically swimming in oil. This mixing of ingredients was a nightmare, especially for people with allergies. Nevertheless, the food was edible, and we all left satisfied. Would I plan to come here again? No. Would I eat here if nothing else was open? Absolutely.

19/08/2026: I'm writing this review from a few years ago, because I haven't been back since. But walking past these days, I've noticed that some things haven't changed. The pizza and ingredients are of good quality, but the owners are completely arrogant; there's no such thing as a "good morning" or "good evening." And they treat the staff badly in front of customers. This says a lot about a place. In my opinion, you work because your pizza is cheap, and certainly not because of your manners. And I advise the employees: run away, there's plenty of work out there. Response: Your arrogance in your response confirms everything I've seen and said. Yes, I walked past and saw the same behavior as a few years ago. And I've decided not to buy from you. If you want better reviews, you could try to be more humane and polite towards customers and employees. Best regards.

29/07/2026: Very nice, easy to get to, free parking in front. Very friendly and polite staff. The only downside was that it wasn't very clean, especially the floors and bed covers.

31/07/2026: We stopped by for gelato, which was very good and had a good selection of flavors. I'd expand the option to include four flavors and make it more visible that they serve gelato, because it's worth it. Excellent stop, highly recommended.

24/08/2026: We were extremely disappointed by this meal! The food served was bland and tasteless… We didn't even order dessert, wanting to end the unpleasant experience there. We wondered how the Michelin Guide could have recommended this establishment…? We found the service cold and rushed. Uninteresting, unfortunately…

23/08/2026: I don't know how this place has such high reviews. We arrived without a reservation to a nearly empty restaurant (three tables occupied), and the waiter had to ask the manager if there was room for us. Remember, the restaurant was empty. We were let in on the condition that we were willing to wait 10 minutes for our order—I don't understand why that would be a problem. The food itself was very poor; the only good items were the gazpacho and the fritto misto, the rest were underseasoned, and the flavors were nonsensical. I definitely don't recommend making a reservation here; it seems this place peaked 15 years ago, and since then, it's been a very average place with nothing interesting to offer. If this is one of the better restaurants in Baveno, you need to get out of town.

17/05/2026: I stayed there for three weeks straight, and I had a wonderful time. Alessio (the owner) is a young but very capable guy, managing that entire empire (motel, restaurant, bar). Arianna, the co-owner, is a fantastic person, always smiling and helpful. I think without her, everything would be a little more difficult to manage! The rooms are spotless, the food is so good (and very cheap) that you won't want to leave! In short, highly recommended!

17/05/2026: Arrived at 10:30 PM. Received very kindly by the old man. Basic hotel, but very clean and a nice room with a good bed. Definitely recommended. Breakfast was also very friendly and extensive.

07/05/2026: We had pizza kebab, a kebab platter, and kebab sandwiches; they were all super tasty! And really plentiful. Friendly owner. We certainly hope to come back. Greetings from the Netherlands.

12/08/2026: A truly Italian atmosphere! Small tables inside, a huge selection, the pistachio croissants are excellent, as are the coffee and cappuccino. Highly recommended!

10/08/2026: Traveling on the Vigezzina train between stations, we stumbled upon this trattoria, just steps from the cathedral. Despite the late hour (1:30 PM), we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We ate lunch on the balcony and chose cold dishes with a liter of sparkling white wine, and everything was delicious. We'll definitely be returning!

26/04/2026: Good value for money in this area; it's hard to find anything cheaper in this location. The property is a bit dated, but the room was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is plentiful. The only downsides are the almost non-existent soundproofing (you can easily hear the neighbors) and the rather firm bed, which might not suit everyone.

09/03/2026: We stayed for one night. That's fine. The hotel is located right in the middle of the small town, very close to the lake. That's perfect. The hotel is a bit dated, but the service is extremely friendly. Breakfast consists of cake. If you ask nicely, they'll also give you bread. The coffee is excellent. There's no elevator, so it's difficult for older people.
