31/03/2024: Excellent location in the center of the town on the main square. Traditional food but revisited in a modern and very refined way, with top quality ingredients. The modern, warm and very elegant environment. The only notable feature is a middle-aged waiter with a long, ungroomed goatee.

27/02/2024: ottima polenta col brasato; unica pecca che non servono il pane. Meritevole anche il personale e l'ambiente ma è un po caruccio: due piatto unico (polenta e tapulone 18euro , polenta e brasato 18, una lasagna 14, due calici vino rosso 10euro , 1 acqua, 1 dolce 8euro, 2 caffè, 2 coperti, 82 euro) ma la qualità è ottima. Ci stà a Macugnaga ma sinceramente riguarderei un pochino i prezzi sopra la media.

08/03/2024: The lovely place. The people who welcomed me are truly special. Clean and well managed hotel. I stayed for two days for work and they made me feel at home.
Last but not least their small restaurant; crazy. Excellent dishes presented in a starred restaurant. Excellent food in general. In short, I vote 10 and praise

Posizione ottima, colazione completa e buona.
Unico piccolo neo, se vogliamo definirlo tale, la camera piuttosto piccola, ma sulla pulizia nulla da dire.
Assolutamente da consigliare!

11/09/2023: Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante giusto per un po' di relax dopo un'impegnativa escursione. Ottimo servizio, gentilezza. Gustato strudel, prima, e birretta, dopo, con bellissima vista su Sua Maestà, il Monte Rosa, dalla terrazza panoramica del ristorante.
10/09/2023: Dopo 45 anni siamo tornati sul Monte Moro.Abbiamo deciso di mangiare al rifugio Lago Smeraldo.Devo complimentarmi con il personale molto gentile .Rifugio pulito(bagni puliti e profumati,era tempo che non ne trovavo così) e ben tenuto.Abbiamo mangiato bene e il prezzo più che giusto.Terrazza panoramica,pranzare con un panorama così è fantastico.

12/02/2024: The new renovation is fantastic and has a romantic feel. The aperitifs were one of the best in the area. We wished we would have had the chance to go more. The service on entry was good but could of been a little more attentive after that.
Superb bar!!

06/09/2023: A wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. We were warmly welcomed and were allowed into our pretty room shortly after ten in the morning. From the balcony you can see the Dufourspitze!
Very good value for money!!!

03/04/2024: A big disappointment... we booked 3 days on the snow for skiing the night before we wrote for snow information in the hotel perhaps out of fear of cancellation we were not told the truth, when we arrived we found the lifts and paths closed, we stayed anyway and asked to check out early by asking for a small discount on the day not enjoyed... not even €1 was taken away from us, not even the gesture of offering anything, in fact it was annoyingly reiterated to us that we had to pay for everything without asking the reason for this early departure (evidently they knew yeah) it's the first time we've found such venal hoteliers, it's right to make money but it can't be the ultimate goal to take away as much money as possible, too much greed doesn't pay in the end...after 5 years we won't be returning to this facility again

Polenta quasi liquida,(istantanea probabilmente) un cucchiaio smosso nel piatto per farla sembrare un po di più, ma in realtà, veramente una quantità imbarazzante... Gnocchi e pasta, peggio.... Porzione per un criceto! Prezzo... quello si, quello era bello abbondante! Saluti
17/03/2024: Mai più…pranzo pessimo per quanto riguarda la proporzione quantità, qualità e prezzo…in 5 persone abbiamo preso gnocchi polenta e pasta alla macugnaghese….la polenta dosata con il contagocce liquida e di pessima qualità, sicuramente polenta istantanea; per quanto riguarda gli altri piatti serviti in delle terrine miseri giusto per contenere 3 forchettate che sicuramente non erano male ma la quantità veramente scarsa, fin troppo!
