15/04/2026: A truly positive experience at the Fratelli Rosso restaurant. The atmosphere is sophisticated and very well-maintained, the staff is extremely professional, and the food is excellent. Reasonable prices considering the standard of service. BRAVE! We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. A dinner we'll remember 🤩🤩🤩🔝🔝🔝🔝 Highly recommended!

14/04/2026: A charming, intimate, and warm place. With a lovely outdoor terrace, I had the opportunity to try their exceptional Ravioli del plin in broth. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back to try other Piedmontese delicacies. And their Bonét Cioccolato e amaretti (chocolate and amaretti biscuits) was delicious.

15/05/2026: Honestly, the pizzas are excellent; the chef is a true magician! The welcome, however, really leaves much to be desired. We were promised 5-10 minutes for two takeout pizzas, and in the end, we waited over 30 minutes due to a mistake by one of the three staff members. A bit of a wait isn't a problem if the staff is friendly and does their job well. Yet here, we didn't even receive a word of apology, nothing. It's a real shame to ruin the pizza chef's excellent work with such an attitude.

02/05/2026: I'm sorry to leave a less than entirely positive review, because the place definitely has potential. Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to expectations: we waited about 20 minutes to order, despite there being only a few tables occupied. (6) After we requested it, a young waitress came over and seemed a bit tired, or perhaps a little annoyed. We ordered two orange juices, which were good and plentiful, but the service seemed a bit rushed and inattentive. (They threw the glasses on the table like that...) I'm sure that with a little more care and attention to the customer, the experience could be significantly improved, because the place deserves it.

02/06/2026: Rude, very rude staff. Some ladies at the counter. Frozen brioches brought in a pan from the restaurant down the street without a lid and filled with cream from a piping bag placed behind the counter. High prices. Luckily, I left immediately afterward, as they told me.

01/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A flawless culinary experience at Mirafiori & La Terrazza! ​We had dinner at this splendid restaurant and were absolutely thrilled with the tasting menu. Each course was meticulously crafted, with a perfect balance of tradition and freshness. ​Here are the highlights of our evening: ​The appetizer: A fantastic trio that won everyone over. The grilled prawns were incredibly fresh, the battered vegetables were hot and perfectly crunchy, and the mini Chianina burger was a true gem of flavor and quality. ​The first course: The real star of the evening. A simply extraordinary lime, mint, and shrimp tartare risotto. An explosion of freshness, creaminess, and perfectly executed contrasts. ​The second course: The two-course menu was excellent, catering to all tastes. Both the tagliata with potatoes (tender and perfectly cooked) and the grilled sea bass with vegetables (light and flavorful) far exceeded expectations. ​Dessert: We finished on a sweet note with the delicious Torta di Camilla, a perfect final treat. ​The selection of included drinks is also noteworthy, from still wines (white and red) to the excellent Collalto Prosecco, perfect for toasting, to the obligatory coffee at the end. ​Attentive service, a charming atmosphere, and top-notch cuisine. 21/05/2026: We arrived a little later, but were still able to enjoy a very good meal at the restaurant. The location is fantastic – right on the lake – and the staff is very friendly.

13/05/2026: Excellent hotel on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Beautiful room with a lake view and a large, modern bathroom. Simple but decent meals. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

17/05/2026: Best pizza in Baveno hands down. Quick service, great to get a pizza and eat it by the lake or at the restaurant sitting area. Needless to say delicious and most affordable! I’d eat here every day.

17/05/2026: A pizzeria that deserves to be supported. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the pizzas are very good, with a surprisingly generous portion for the price (and we even ordered a medium!). It's refreshing to see this kind of establishment that doesn't rip you off as a tourist. The surrounding restaurants should take note.

17/04/2026: Fantastic stay at Auberge La Ripa! A warm welcome, even though it was late. The room had a view of the lake and the Borromean Islands, which wasn't originally planned. A truly lovely room, and a generous and complete breakfast. Thank you, Paola, for this little slice of paradise. See you soon!

12/04/2026: We stayed with our dog over the Easter weekend at this beautiful hotel, just steps from the center of Baveno. It retains all its early 1900s charm with period furniture. The tastefully furnished rooms feature balconies overlooking the internal garden and a splendid view of the Borromean Islands. The hotel has a lovely garden with a terrace equipped with tables and umbrellas overlooking the private beach below. What more can I say? It's beautiful. Mrs. Paola is a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful, and upon our arrival she unexpectedly upgraded our room to a larger one with a lake view. I hope to return soon.
