29/05/2026: A beautiful restaurant with a lovely water view from the terrace. The team seems very young, which brings a refreshing energy to both the kitchen and the service. The food was absolutely delicious – not exactly cheap, but the value for money is perfect. The dishes have a unique touch, making the visit exciting and delightful. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. Mille grazie!

Today, we had lunch at this osteria. It's very simple inside, but the staff is very kind and helpful. The food was phenomenal.
The dessert was exquisite.

16/05/2026: Carl Honoré would have been happy at this restaurant; he could have added a chapter to his In Praise of Slowness. Mind you, this isn't a criticism at all: the dishes are freshly prepared, and a short wait between each one isn't a flaw. Especially since the food is excellent quality at more than reasonable prices, including wine. Their lake fish, both grilled and fried, is particularly noteworthy. A visit is highly recommended, but reservations are essential on weekends, as walk-ins are virtually impossible.
03/05/2026: A surreal experience in an osteria that takes you back in time. Avoid it unless you have the patience to wait for the long waits of the otherwise very friendly lady. In the highly touristy setting of Verbania, it's probably not that bad. Decent first courses, a starter of homemade cured meats, supermarket rye bread, and a reasonable bill.

The pasta, fish, and meat were all perfect. The pasta with veal ragu was incredibly delicious, the Angus beef was amazingly good and succulent, and the fish was very delicate. They also had wonderful wine, available by the glass. The service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. We had a lovely experience.

08/06/2026: The garden is nice and well-kept, but the beginning of June doesn't exactly delight with blooms. There are simply not many flowers. The trees from different parts of the world are beautiful, such as the redwood. I recommend it.

30/05/2026: We had a wonderful evening here. The folks that run this restaurant really know how to make even a tourist welcome. The food was first class and the service better than any other experience we had on our trip. We mention we hoped they had mussels or clams as they weren’t on the menu. “No problem I just got some this morning at the market. It’s not on the menu but I will make some.” So he made them especially for us. We will be back!

05/05/2026: We went for an all-you-can-eat lunch and had a great time. Since it was a holiday, the place was very crowded, but they found us a table on the terrace. The service was very fast and courteous, despite working at a frenetic pace to serve everyone. The food was good and well-prepared, and they were very attentive to special requests. Overall, we had a great time and ate well for the price quoted.

18/05/2026: Went there twice during our stay in Verbania. Delicious meat and cheese platter, good wine and mood. Loved it! The panettone-foie gras sandwich is to die for!!
The boutique inside has tons of local products. Totally recommend!

La Casera is located right in the heart of Intra.
La Casera is a combination of grocery store and restaurant.
It has a wonderful atmosphere, embodying Italian lifestyle.
The selection of cured meats and cheeses is immense. A huge variety!
The ambiance is lovely. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the square. The interior is also very pleasant, with a friendly, family atmosphere.
The staff is very welcoming.
La Casera is a must-visit; you simply can't walk past it.
Highly recommended!

I love gnocchi, so I ordered it as soon as I saw it on the menu, and they told me it was homemade!
After tasting it, I can tell it really is homemade!! The chewy texture of the potatoes was amazing!! (The menu states that the seating charge and bread price are included, so they don't charge extra!) It was really good 👍😊
