12/06/2026: The restaurant and menu made a good impression. Around 7:00 PM, the restaurant was quite busy, with few free tables. The staff was very busy and the service was relatively short. The wine (Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio) was of good quality, though a bit too warm. The appetizer (a small piece of spinach quiche, a small mound of spinach, and a small mound of vegetables) for €16.00 was unacceptable. It came with four pieces of dry baguette. The main courses consisted of ribbon pasta with a bland meat sauce and four rolls of hard ribbon pasta (more than al dente!) with unidentifiable ingredients in a somewhat spicy sauce. After mentioning after the appetizer that the main course wasn't very good, we were only served by the junior staff. With a little more finesse and a good chef, the restaurant could certainly earn more stars.

08/04/2026: I was in Baveno on vacation, and I went to this bar for breakfast. It's a lovely place just steps from the lake. The staff are very friendly, kind, and welcoming. They have fresh, delicious products, including brioches with a variety of fillings, and delicious coffee and cappuccino. I went back for lunch and had a sandwich with prosciutto, salad, tomato, and mozzarella, generously filled, and fresh bread. I had a great time, and I'll definitely return if I have the chance. I highly recommend it.

05/04/2026: I stumbled upon this café thanks to a weekend on Lake Maggiore. The staff is really kind and helpful (even offering helpful directions), the sandwiches are excellent, as are the brioches (I had a pistachio one that was super filling). The coffee is also very good. It will definitely be a go-to place next time I'm in the area! Thanks!

17/05/2026: I'm giving it three stars not for the food, which I found excellent, but for the overall lack of organization. During peak hours, there was only one cashier who took over a quarter of an hour to clear a line of eight people! Unacceptable if you're going for a quick work break! I'll reiterate, however, that the food is worth the price, and the staff is friendly and helpful; the long waits are attributable to a glaring understaffing.

14/12/2025: There is always a first time. This was ours: leaving a restaurant before ordering. Upon arrival, I asked if there was a table for two. The person in charge said it was full inside and vaguely suggested we go “outside,” despite the temperature being around 1°C and no visible guests there. His attitude was openly annoyed, his explanations mumbled and unclear—surprising, given that I speak Italian at a C1–C2 level. Only after being sent out did it become apparent that “outside” referred to a covered and heated structure to the side—something that could have been explained in one sentence or shown in ten seconds. We attempted to sit at a table for two, only to find both chairs covered in bird droppings. A nearby table was slightly less dirty, so we moved there. While looking for tissues to clean the chairs ourselves, the person in charge returned, curtly told us we couldn’t sit there, and walked away. No explanation. No alternative. No courtesy. At that point, we decided to leave. If the food reflects the same standards as the service and hygiene, skipping the meal felt like the right choice.

01/05/2026: I'm a regular at the Last Hall restaurant in Baveno. The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Dino and offers a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore. The interior is elegant and original, while the outdoor terrace overlooks the lake, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. The menu is excellent, with high-quality dishes. The wait staff is also friendly, attentive, and always available. I also had the pleasure of meeting chef Andrea, who delighted us with truly incredible dishes. I will definitely return.

06/06/2026: First time at "Regno di Napoli" (Kingdom of Naples), a charming atmosphere with typical Neapolitan touches. It's not very large but well-organized, and the staff is attentive and helpful. We had a meat-based appetizer (various fried dishes), which was very good and especially plentiful. A first course of ziti with Neapolitan ragù was plentiful and delicious, with a nice, flavorful piece of meat. A first course of seafood scialatielli pasta was also very popular. We'll be back to try the fried pizza. I highly recommend it.

11/10/2025: The coffee wasn't an original Italian sieve-type machine, but capsules. The focaccia was very lightly topped with salami and cheese. Prices are okay. The service was irritated and unfriendly.

11/10/2025: We found the focaccia rather dry. There were hardly any toppings, barely any cheese. There were signs saying "Original Italian Coffee" and it looked like a portafilter machine. They use capsules. It was all fake. We also found the lady at the counter rather unfriendly. She had a bored expression and was chewing gum in an annoyed manner.
