3 or 4 fierce Italian ladies literally running around. 💪💪💪 Can seem a bit chaotic at times but they are amazing and hardworking. Food is good and we had breakfast there 3 times. Pastry and coffee was great. Pancakes and waffles are less amazing but the kids loved them.

What can I say! Giancarlino is like home. The girls are professional, friendly, and kind. It's excellent for breakfast, lunch, and delicious aperitifs, the perfect place to meet after a day at work. Bravo!

I was in Baveno on vacation, and I went to this bar for breakfast. It's a lovely place just steps from the lake. The staff are very friendly, kind, and welcoming. They have fresh, delicious products, including brioches with a variety of fillings, and delicious coffee and cappuccino. I went back for lunch and had a sandwich with prosciutto, salad, tomato, and mozzarella, generously filled, and fresh bread. I had a great time, and I'll definitely return if I have the chance. I highly recommend it.

I stumbled upon this café thanks to a weekend on Lake Maggiore. The staff is really kind and helpful (even offering helpful directions), the sandwiches are excellent, as are the brioches (I had a pistachio one that was super filling). The coffee is also very good. It will definitely be a go-to place next time I'm in the area! Thanks!

We stopped for an aperitivo, and the girl brought us a generous platter of pizza, bread with salty mustard, chicken wings, and onion rings! Great, well done! Keep up the good work!

24/07/2026: We had a very tasty experience. The pasta with wild boar ragù was very authentic, and it was like immersing yourself in the history of the Lago delle Fate... very mountainous and woodland-like!!! We'll definitely be back!!!

03/06/2026: From Domodossola to Rome and back. A friendly tavern with a slightly nerdy feel. The sign is Bloch's famous painting of a mid-19th-century Roman tavern, with the two Ciociaria women—the married one with the big scarf and the spinster flirting with you—the husband with the scarf looking pissed off, and the cat staring at you even more viciously. The prices of the inviting and varied pinsas are in Roman numerals, and it's fair to ask if they're euros or sesterces. The last page of the menu shows the route to the restroom, and I have to say that the "treasure map" confused me a bit, as I was expecting who knows what winding paths to take when the designated place is right next to the pinsettaro counter. Otherwise, the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the service is friendly.
