11/04/2025: ambiente con volte in mattoni, personale gentile e preparato, servizio impeccabile. Piccola entre di cous cous, antipasto di cavoli -toma e nocciole (ma anche i moscardini al sugo che ho assaggiato erano buoni e puliti bene), gnocchi al bleu (non forte) ma anche la pasta con polpo era buona, baccalà stupendo. Dolcini con il caffé. Ottimo e ci torno. Il conto non so, ero invitato, ma ci torno, sicuramente

02/01/2025: If you are looking for an unforgettable gastronomic experience, you absolutely cannot miss the Trattoria del Peso in Castino. I spent New Year's Eve dinner at this place and I was thrilled. The two chefs Vincenzo and Nicola, friendly and passionate about their work, delighted us with quality dishes. Each course was a masterpiece, fresh and refined ingredients and maximum cleanliness and order were evident in every corner of the restaurant. Most of the tables are made up of foreign tourists who appreciate good food. It was a pleasure to share the evening with people from different parts of the world. I had fun, in an environment that conveyed conviviality and friendliness. If you are in Castino, don't miss the opportunity to experience this culinary wonder. I recommend it! 12/04/2025: Celebrating my eldest daughter's 18th, it was a perfect choice, welcomed by the Chef as soon as we arrived we were able to choose one of the 4 menus available and having the possibility of making different menus is an excellent thing to taste everything or almost everything. From the Chef's welcome to the first course, through the second courses to the desserts, it was an exquisite experience with dishes worthy of a Michelin star. Truly exaggerated cellar we dined at Champagne but there are very high level wines whether Piedmontese or national with a great choice of bubbles. More than honest price and truly beautiful condition. Excellent experience that I recommend to everyone

18/11/2024: We celebrated my wife's birthday and we enjoyed every single bite. We opted for the seafood menu, every dish was sensational, balanced in every flavor and never exaggerated or too refined. The homemade pasta was idyllic. Impeccable service and a well-kept and welcoming place. Fair price compared to what was offered. Recommended.

22/03/2025: I go there often, the dishes are typical of Ligurian cuisine: homemade ravioli, tagliatelle, cima, rabbit and much more. The desserts, also homemade, made by the owner's wife are excellent. For those who like spirits, the bar is well stocked with gin, whiskey, rum etc.

08/03/2025: DA EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE! Abbiamo dovuto mangiare con la giacca per il freddo in sala. Abbiamo ordinato due Pinse, le abbiamo aspettate 40 minuti e alla fine sono arrivate due pizze…. Mai più!!

30/03/2025: Nos habían referido aquí para una maravillosa experiencia de almuerzo y no decepcionó. No teníamos una reserva, pero amablemente nos alojaron en su encantador comedor con una chimenea de leña. El personal y el servicio fueron muy atentos. El servidor hablaba un excelente inglés y proporcionó gran información inventos, el restaurante, y el pueblo. La comida era fantástica y todo hecho con ingredientes locales. El entrante era una mezcla de patatas cultivadas localmente, fabuloso. Mi esposa tenía la cremosa polenta al horno que se hace con un Piemonte Rosa Toma local, yo tenía las albóndigas de papa de especialidad local. Para los platos principales tuve una carne de res con polenta, y la esposa tenía una salchicha hervida con lentejas negras y col roja. No había lugar para el desierto. Recomendamos encarecidamente esta experiencia gastronómica excepcional y volveremos.

26/01/2025: Capitati a Chianale per l'ora di pranzo, abbiamo provato a chiedere un tavolo senza aver prenotato. Con cordialità e gentilezza ci hanno dato l'unico tavolo ancora libero. Abbiamo iniziato con un piatto di affettati e uno di vitello tonnato per poi proseguire con le ravioles della Valvaraita e con lo spezzatino di carni miste con polenta.. torta di nocciole con gelato artigianale e bunet bianco hanno concluso il pranzo in un ambiente caldo (con tanto di camino acceso) e confortevole. Tutti piatti ottimi ed eseguiti con cura e passione. Ottimi anche pane grissini di loro produzione. Bella lista dei vini. Velocità, disponibilità e cortesia hanno caratterizzato il servizio.. conto finale nella norma.. che dire... bravi.. continuate così..

17/04/2025: 2 stars for the food instead of 5 not for the quality, which is always excellent, but for the new menu adopted a couple of weeks ago: Baladin is historic for what it has created up to now...so in my opinion, Baladin, which is already at the top, can only be added to, it does not distort or change its identity.

13/04/2025: I went last night, they increased the food prices too much. I got a focaccia margherita for €7.50 and a small beer for €4.50. I went to pay and was asked for €14. They cheated me out of €2. Unfortunately I realized later. Never mind, I'll go back at most only to have a drink and pay maximum attention to the bill.

04/04/2025: Stop for lunch during the antiques market on Sunday 03.30.2025. All good. Strong flavors... very tasty. Portions quite generous. Fair prices. Unfortunately the usual recycled water... which doesn't allow me to give a higher score. Why don't I like recycled water?? Because I don't know if filter cleaning is done properly. I can't verify and I have to trust. It's different for bottled water that I personally open at the table. At least I know what I'm drinking and I'm happy to pay for it. Paying for the tap annoys me enormously.
