20/06/2025: We came to eat last night with the family, and we are regulars, even though we don't come very often. For some time now the service has dropped a lot because, apart from the good food and the very comfortable atmosphere, many dishes tend not to arrive, especially sashimi and carpaccio, even if reordered a second or third time to actually eat them. Last night a person at our table almost didn't eat, he ordered his food, but it NEVER arrived! We had to call one of the waiters, who are always kind and friendly, who reordered them for us from his pad, but despite this nothing arrived. We kept asking until these famous dishes arrived, after almost 1 hour of waiting. We saw this dish arrive at the other tables, but not at ours, and we thought, at a certain point, that our orders would end up at the tables next door. It's not the first time this has happened. Too bad, it was a nice place… kitchen guys, don't click "confirmed" when you know perfectly well that the dish hasn't even left the kitchen, please.

13/05/2025: I am back home in California remembering our visit from May 2024. I absolutely love Gavi and have been there twice in the past 3 years.We dined at Cantine Del Gavi celebrating my sons birthday and mothers day. It was such a memorable experience and I realized I forgot to do a review with all the traveling we did in Italy last year. The service was phenomenal, food was outstanding and perfect wine was recommended. The staff and experience provided made a lasting impression on my son his fiancé and I. What a gem in such a charming and beautiful village. It is a lovely and beautiful ristorante and the food incredible. Grazie to the staff for a lasting memory.

05/06/2025: The pizzas are very good, the service impeccable. A little anecdote (we don't speak any Italian at all): we asked the waitress for a half-bottle of rosé wine, with a carafe of water in a French dialect, and tried to order the bottle with Italian words. Except, they came with 1L of sparkling rosé wine for 30 euros a bottle 😰.... A complete misunderstanding. Did they see the opportunity offered by two French tourists who were terrible at Italian and take advantage of it???. The wine was good though.

Piacevole musica soft in sottofondo; la cena: Vino: - Champagne Brut Prestige Rosé "Rosé De Saignée" maison Charlier & Fils. Pane integrale e focaccia maison. ANTIPASTI: - Sua Maestà "La carne cruda" di pura Fassona piemontese. - il tenero filetto di sgombro pulito e grigliato marinato in delicato olio EVO al timo e maggiorana servito su letto di profumato riso Venere e dolce cipolla bianca di Breme stufata. PRIMI: - i tradizionali "rabaton" di Litta Parodi (impasto di ricotta, spinaci, erbette, maggiorana, parmigiano e pane grattugiato. Gli si da forma di piccoli cilindri che vengono prima lessati e poi gratinati al forno con burro, salvia e parmigiano). - i maccheroni di Gragnano all'arrabbiata con teneri calamaretti spadellati. DESSERT: - il sorbetto artigianale al cucchiaio ai limoni di Sorrento. - la crème brûlé al pistacchio di Bronte. Caffè a chiudere. La bella carta dei vini presenta 300 etichette, ampia scelta di mezze bottiglie e al calice. Non è previsto il menù degustazione; à la carte 4 antipasti a 12€; 5 primi da 12 a 13€; 5 secondi da 14 a 17€; 6 dessert da 5 a 6€; è tutto consultabile nel sito web. Locale climatizzato. 14/06/2025: In zona decisamente periferica di Alessandria, parcheggio facile facile sulla strada, scopriamo una bomboniera. Locale moderno, con stile e personalità da osteria "elegante". Un bel menù, proprio da osteria, con alcuni grandi classici del territorio. Noi optiamo per la "farinata croccante con toma d'Alba e salame crudo di Varzi", che smezziamo. Poi agnolotti alessandrini allo stufato per me (strepitosi), e i "Rabaton" di Litta Parodi per moje (un impasto di ricotta, spinaci, erbette, maggiorana, parmigiano e pane grattato, gratinato al forno con burro, salvia e parmigiano). E ancora salamino di vacca di Mandrogne alla griglia con patate gialle, di nuovo da smezzare. 3 calici di vino bianco, acqua (tanta, acqua), 4 caffè (finito di mangiare ci piace fermarci a parlare un po' al tavolo, bissando il caffè) per un conto finale di 70 euro. Da tornarci apposta. P.s. se capitate lì, fate due parole con Matteo, il maitre. Sa tutto di formaggi e vini locali, ed è di una cortesia squisita.
