11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

14/10/2025: The perfect dinner to celebrate my birthday. We chose this place because we wanted to eat something delicious in a quiet setting and celebrate another year, and it exceeded all expectations beyond our wildest dreams. Excellent wines, friendly staff, and the tuna tartare was out of this world, much better than many beef tartares I've eaten (and I say this as a meat lover). Then came the spaghetti with thick ragù, which almost moved me to tears at how good it was, with that enveloping sauce that made you feel satisfied with every bite. Finally, a Garronese sirloin steak, strictly rare, that melted in your mouth, with an excellent mustard sauce and a delicious rosemary and olive oil cured meat; every bite was a delight. Special mention also goes to the seafood pasta and the swordfish. I don't usually give too many compliments to a place, but here they are obligatory. Excellent ingredients, well-crafted and carefully prepared dishes, friendly staff, perfect combinations and flavors, more than fair prices, and adequate (I'd even say generous) portions. What more could you ask for? Compliments to the staff; if we pass through Arco again, we'll definitely stop here! Well done!

02/10/2025: I would like to provide feedback regarding an unpleasant experience my partner and I had at your restaurant on Tuesday, 30 September. Upon arrival, we were offered a table next to guests who had brought their dog. As I suffer from allergies, we kindly asked if it was possible to be seated in an area of the restaurant without animals. Unfortunately, the server informed us that there was no such option available. Consequently, we were unable to stay and had to leave without dining. In addition to the allergy concern, I would like to point out that the presence of dogs inside dining areas raises questions of hygiene and food safety. According to general food safety and hygiene regulations, restaurants are expected to maintain a clean environment where food is prepared and consumed. Allowing animals into guest areas may compromise this standard and can create an exclusionary experience for guests with allergies or sensitivities. It was very disappointing, as we had looked forward to dining at your establishment. Sadly, under the current circumstances, I cannot recommend the restaurant to others.

28/09/2025: Twelve of us went for lunch, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. We truly ate divinely: from the appetizers to the first courses, to the fried fish, everything was simply perfect. The appetizers were unique, carefully crafted, and delicious, each one better than the last. The first courses left us speechless: the linguine with crab was spectacular, the strozzapreti with seafood was rich and flavorful, and the linguine with clams was perfect. There wasn't a single dish we didn't love: every course was a triumph of flavor and freshness. The restaurant also deserves a special mention: welcoming, with attention to every detail, and an atmosphere reminiscent of the sea in every corner. An ideal setting for such a successful lunch. The service was quick, attentive, and friendly, despite there being twelve of us: always available and smiling. In short: a memorable lunch that we all enjoyed. We can't wait to return! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

08/10/2025: Convenient if you are staying on Guidecca. Can't really complain as the fish was really fresh and the staff was courteous. Other dishes weren't stellar but not bad either. Don't be afraid to eat here if you don't feel like taking a boat to the crowded areas.

04/10/2025: An excellent address in old Rimini! The restaurant, run by a very friendly family, serves quality meat, perfectly cooked. The raw vegetable platter is fresh and well presented, with ice cubes underneath to guarantee freshness. A warm place where you can eat really well, to recommend without hesitation!

05/10/2025: My husband and I had a tasting menu of 5 dishes and 4 types of wine. Everything was top-notch. The restaurant is small, located on 3 floors, very cozy in an authentic building.

21/09/2025: My wife and I had dinner at "Al Tuguri" to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. Given the warm evening, we preferred to sit on the new veranda (which hadn't existed under the previous management). There isn't much of a panoramic view, as some plants are planted on the parapet at eye-height, but it was very comfortable and the tables had enough space for privacy. The menu was limited to just a few dishes, which we greatly appreciated, as I've always been wary of menus with too many courses. We had two appetizers of raw red shrimp, two first courses of mixed pasta with black scorpion fish, and a dessert (called a tart but actually a mousse) of chocolate, peaches, and cardamom. The term "exceptional" isn't an exaggeration. The dishes were perfect in both form and substance. A special mention goes to the pasta, which evokes the flavors and aromas of times gone by. A reader might think that's more than enough, but no, it doesn't end there. The delicacies were brought to the table accompanied by a maître d', Francesco, of undisputed experience and professionalism, who recommended the wine to pair with the libations. The bill was very honest. The only flaw, and I repeat, the only flaw, was that I would have concluded the wonderful evening by savoring a glass of Pappy Van Vinkle served in an Old American, but unfortunately they had just run out. Francesco promised me he'll make it happen next time. An experience to be repeated without a doubt.

13/10/2025: The food is very, very good. Alessandro is an excellent host. The dishes are good, well-cooked. The price is in line with the 2025 costs. It's not cheap, but it's fair. You don't feel ripped off when you leave, in fact, you think, "I ate well and enjoyed the fish dishes..."

12/10/2025: A truly exceptional place where intimacy and serenity are guaranteed by the limited seating, which also ensures high-quality service, kitchen management, and raw ingredients. All the fish is super fresh, and the entire staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional. A delicious, high-quality menu is "decanted" by the owner directly at the table, at the right price considering we're talking about fish caught practically in front of us, but with flavors that truly deserve a solid 10! The mussels are excellent, but in general everything we ate was delicious and beautifully presented. 👌🏼 We'll definitely be back.
