09/11/2025: We were in Calabria for 24 hours, yet we ate at Osteria San Francesco twice. A friend recommended this restaurant to us, and I have to say it was one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I'll ever remember in this region. The restaurant, run by two brothers, is small but very welcoming. The food is amazing, and Francesco is a truly friendly person. What I also really appreciated was the atmosphere in this restaurant: there are only a few seats, and the people at the various tables chat as if they've known each other forever. 17/11/2025: A seafood restaurant with an overall good rating. Good value, and the food is generally generous. The staff is friendly, although the service is occasionally a little inattentive or slow. The location itself is a bit of a letdown (not a great one, to be honest). Still, recommended.

04/11/2025: My wife and I ate here a week ago. We were absolutely delighted. The food was outstanding. I've rarely eaten such delicious grilled octopus. The service was very friendly and the price was perfectly reasonable. We'd gladly come again.

We were delighted with both the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

24/11/2025: A name that's a guarantee! Zia Elvira is truly excellent. This was the umpteenth time I returned to them for their exquisite fish dishes. I can't wait to return.

19/09/2025: We chose San Domenico for our last evening here and it could not have been a better choice. We had the vegetarian degustation menu and even as someone who usually eats meat, it was amazing through and through. Each course was crafted with immense love and detail which was noticable with eye and tongue. Service was perfect, food was perfect - I'm still amazed a day later! What I liked especially was the indirect lighting on the outdoor terrace. It was a beautiful setting for an evening filled with good food and wine. We will absolutely come back!

01/11/2025: ...it's more than a hotel, it's also a museum where a computer scientist finds himself in his own world. I regret the lack of beach bungalows, which adds to the unique experience. The food is also excellent; I suggest improving the breakfast selection, even though it's still plentiful. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely return.

19/10/2025: Lunch. Good quality food and fresh fish. The swordfish was excellent; my favorite dish. The table service was good, but there's always room for improvement. The location was lovely, but what made everything even more enjoyable was the pianist's entertainment. Mr. Pupa Gabriele, the pianist, created a welcoming, pleasantly convivial, and elegant atmosphere.

02/12/2025: Highly recommended! At Restaurant Pizzeria Prima o Poi, all the fish dishes were not only freshly prepared but also made with top-quality, premium ingredients. Every bite was reminiscent of a walk by the sea – full of flavor, freshness, and harmony. The preparation was impeccable, the flavors perfectly balanced. You can feel the passion and love for the ingredients that goes into the cooking. A culinary experience you absolutely must try! However: I was disappointed to find more drinks on the bill than we actually ordered. To all guests: Please check your bill carefully – we were charged €20 extra for drinks. And unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident; I know of three other restaurants where the same thing happened.

09/11/2025: We ate with friends, everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The owners were friendly and very kind, I met the pastry chef Angelo and I must say he is very sweet. Overall, I highly recommend it.

08/11/2025: A really lovely restaurant! The owner is incredibly friendly and gives you a warm welcome. Delicious food at a fair price. The location isn't entirely accurate on Maps, which is why we didn't find it right away, but it's well worth the effort.

30/09/2025: I'm sharing my very positive experience! We were four of us at this restaurant on July 11, 2025. The welcome was typically touristy, but the restaurant actually offered impeccable service, good food, and excellent value. It's a shame about the portions, which were really small.

09/09/2025: Probably the best tomato sauce I've ever had. I'd love to know the recipe for this gem :D Great place and fantastic food at a decent price. It feels like this place deserves a special mention. The service is also friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, especially for lunch :)

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏
