11/12/2025: I went there tonight with my family, four people + a newborn. They were very kind, even providing extra space for our stroller. Excellent quality food, low in salt and well-balanced.

08/12/2025: Second time coming to this fantastic and traditional Florentine Trattoria in the space of 10 days... the first time with friends while today I was with family! Delicious appetizers (tried the Tuscan crostini, the fried polenta with porcini mushrooms and the typical Tuscan Crostone with black cabbage and beans), abundant and homemade first courses (classic tagliatelle with ragù, the legendary pappardelle with wild boar) to finish with the fabulous Florentine steak (in 34 years of existence without a doubt the best dish I have ever eaten... simply LEGENDARY!) accompanied by baked potatoes and fried artichokes. Desserts were a must (Tiramisu, Panna Cotta and Torta della Nonna). EXCEPTIONAL quality/price ratio... A 10-star experience! Compliments to the staff! You are the Best Florentine Trattoria by far! 09/11/2025: Da O per Bacco – a lunch that stays in your heart We had a family lunch at Da O per Bacco on Sunday and it was a truly pleasant experience in every way. The restaurant is well-kept, welcoming, and immediately exudes warmth. Even the background music is tastefully chosen: delicate, atmospheric, and helps make the moment even more magical. The cuisine is a real discovery. The dishes are excellent, beautifully presented, and generous: you can see the hand of a chef with character, who brings quantity and quality to the table with great personality. Kudos also to Mirko, the owner: kind, attentive, and always ready to offer discreet advice. The wine he recommended was a wonderful surprise, perfect to accompany our lunch and enhance each course. From starter to dessert, everything was impeccable, and the price is absolutely right for the quality of the dishes and the beauty of the location. We will gladly return. Highly recommended for those looking for a place where they feel welcomed, eat well, and have an authentic experience.

24/11/2025: "What's it like to eat at L'Imbuto"? If that's the question, make yourself comfortable, as if you were sitting at a table waiting for the journey to begin, because it will take a while. Let's start with the location, which, in my opinion, is poorly signposted. It's not difficult to get there, no doubt, but once you arrive at the indicated address, it's not exactly easy to figure out which restaurant it is, and consequently, how to access it. You risk ending up in someone's backyard. It might be a "personal problem," but three of us had the same "difficulties." But now let's go inside: the place is what I would call intimate, just the way I like it, with rooms that aren't too large, not too many seats, and not at all noisy. Greeted by the very kind staff, we are given a map with a description of the possible "journeys" and the rules to follow to enjoy them and ensure that other guests can do the same (I'm not giving away any spoilers; the same map is available on the website). As soon as we are seated, a large, white-clad figure emerges from the kitchen. It's him, Chef Tomei, who comes to do the honors. Now, in my opinion, that alone is worth 100 points. I come to your restaurant to eat what you cook, not just something you invented and that bears your name, so you have to be in the kitchen, that's my credo. And now the journey begins. We chose the longest one, the 9-course menu. For those who don't know, Chef Tomei doesn't have an à la carte menu; there are three experiences that include 5, 7, or 9 courses. He chooses what to prepare for you. This was a huge plus for me because I'm sure I would have missed out on a lot with a simple à la carte menu. For the drinks, we paired them with the 5 great wines. And now the journey begins... mine was a fabulous experience, filled with explosions of tastes and flavors I never imagined. To be fair, not everything received the same "score," as is only natural, but that's because it's subjective and personal (de gustibus non disputandum est). The quality of the dishes is excellent. The pairings are fabulous. After all, we're talking about Cristiano Tomei. I'm not even going to talk about the price. If you decide to have an experience like this, that should be the last thing on your mind. Enjoy your trip. Thank you, Chef.

27/11/2025: We had our best lunch in Florence here. Authentic local restaurant with some modern twist. This is not your regular touristic restaurant with same generic mediocre dishes, this is actually a real restaurant with great food, reasonable prices and amazing wine menu.

25/11/2025: A truly superb dinner at il Guscio, on the Oltrarno side of Firenze. Starters: fried carciofi with stracciatella, cinghiale prosciutto, and puff pastry with robiola, a zucchini flan, & baked scamorza cheese. Pastas: pappardelle with rabbit ragù & black olives, paccheri with n’duja, cherry tomatoes & burrata, risotto with Gorgonzola. Main course: veal cheek in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and escarole & olives. We also had an excellent bottle of Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. My family has been coming to this restaurant for years and it remains one of my favorites.

08/12/2025: My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. David and his staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home. The grounds and rooms were beautiful and well cared for. The food and wine were outstanding!! Our whole experience left us wanted to stay longer. If you have the chance you must stay here!

19/11/2025: Sometimes you just get a hunch on a restaurant. You walk past and immediately stop because what’s happening inside is felt on the pavement. And without knowing anything about it, you have to go in and find out when they can squeeze you in. And you hope your hunch doesn’t disappoint….And it didn’t here. This is food with integrity and character. Like being welcomed into a family kitchen. Dad is chef, mum front of house and youngest son and his childhood friend wait the tables. It’s a small, bustling, ramshackle space offering rustic portions with no pretension. Football commentary drifted unobtrusively from the kitchen. They clearly love what they do and this is expressed in the food they serve (a changing daily menu of florentine classics that I struggled to choose between). I ended up going for Ossobuco Risotto and each rich & melting mouthful made me smile. Brilliant value, inclusive in spirit (they happily welcomed a single diner on a packed evening) and about as authentic as you can get. I came here twice in a week and would go back at the drop of a hat, next time in Firenze.

21/09/2025: Went here since we felt like having a truffle lunch, this place absolutely didn’t disappoint. Lovely Italian restaurant, chef came to the table himself to ask if everything was okay. Service was super friendly, food was amazing. Every dish we saw passing looked tasty and the amount of truffle added to our pasta carbonara was way more than we dared to hope for. Absolutely recommend!

14/09/2025: A superb restaurant in the historic center of Grosseto. Finally, you can eat fish here. The highest quality goes perfectly with the service and location. Kudos also to the bathroom, which is not only beautiful but also clean, which, unfortunately, isn't a given. Many compliments indeed 👏.
