My favorite pizzeria in Pistoia. Excellent pizza, delicious traditional Neapolitan fried foods, and a great beer list.

Given that I'm from Campania (and grew up on milk and pizza), I went to this pizzeria with high expectations. I can tell you, they exceeded them. I knew from the Montanarina (the best I've ever eaten) that the pizza would be up to par. I chose the Oro Rosso—but I also tried the Rossa with buffalo mozzarella—and it was a truly delicious experience! Attentive service, young and enthusiastic staff, and prices perfectly suited to the quality. Wonderful product, attention to detail, and passion! Congratulations!

There are places you go to eat and places you go to feel good. Pizzeria Luna Rossa in Pistoia is, fortunately, the perfect blend of these two things. If I had to describe it in two words, I would undoubtedly choose: quality and warmth.
As soon as you walk in, you immediately notice that this isn't your usual crowded and noisy pizzeria. There's a welcoming atmosphere, designed to help you unwind from the very first moment. It's the kind of place where you sit down and immediately feel at ease, whether you're a couple for a quiet evening or with friends for a casual chat. The atmosphere is well-kept, brightly lit, and conveys that feeling of authentic hospitality that, unfortunately, is increasingly difficult to find today.
But let's talk about the heart of the place: the pizza.
We're faced with a product of disarming goodness. The first thing that strikes you is the dough. Forget those pizzas that weigh on your stomach for hours; Here, we're talking about a light, digestible base, crafted with a care you can taste with every bite. The crust is a delight: fragrant on the outside, soft on the inside, the kind of crust that never leaves the plate; in fact, it makes you want to finish it off, down to the last crumb.
And then, the choice of toppings. You can clearly tell they don't use random ingredients. Every pizza that arrives at the table is a perfect balance of flavors. The tomato tastes like tomato, the mozzarella is fresh and high-quality, and the combinations are designed to enhance the ingredients, not overwhelm them with unnecessary excess. Whether you choose a classic, expertly crafted Margherita or one of their more unique offerings, the result is always the same: an explosion of flavor that makes you close your eyes in delight.
The service completes the picture. It's not easy to manage a dining room while always maintaining a smile, but here they manage it with incredible ease. The staff makes you feel welcome; they're attentive without being intrusive, and they know how to recommend the perfect pizza for your cravings. It's the kind of welcome that makes you feel more than just a passing customer, but a guest they're happy to serve.
In a world where we often seek out the "trendy" place while overlooking the essence, Luna Rossa keeps its feet on the ground, focusing on what really matters: making delicious pizza and making people feel good. It's the perfect place for when you want to pamper yourself, eat something exceptional, and spend a couple of hours in a peaceful and refined environment.
Every time I leave, I find myself already thinking about the next time. Because when you find a place where the pizza is exceptional and you feel welcomed like at home, there's really no reason to look elsewhere. If you're in Pistoia and want to play it safe, Luna Rossa is the best choice you can make. It's a guarantee of happiness, bite after bite.

A true Napolitan Pizza, with many options to chose from. Few somewhat innovative desserts, also based on some Napolitan classic. Service is prompt and very courteous. A good selection of beer and wine. You will be content after a stop at Luna Rossa.
Too bad the place is not nice, especially the outside tables (they are near the street).

Very cozy restaurant with a nice, sheltered outdoor terrace. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The menu is very extensive, especially with specialty pizzas. Don't come here for a simple salami pizza; you really need to expect something a bit more substantial. They do have a number of "standard" pizzas (such as Margherita), so there is something for everyone. We had a delicious meal. There is a parking lot next to the outdoor terrace, but otherwise there is also a large parking lot about a 3-minute walk away.

Try the pizzas: Bufala, Sud Assoluto, and Divina. Besides having a truly tempting selection of different pizzas, they're truly delicious. We had a Neapolitan specialty there. Honorable mention to the young professional in charge of the service, truly impeccable; we even got compliments in person. The best pizza in the area!
