14/12/2025: We went there to try their caciucco but everything did not meet our expectations. The caciucco was salty and more than half of the edible things was squid. The portion size is not big enough to be categorised as a secondi. The tiramisu tasted like a sweet pudding sprinkled with cacao powder and house red wine tasted like vinegar. While we were waiting for the food, we read about the past achievements of the owner. Maybe they were good 30-40 years ago.

12/12/2025: Attentive and prompt service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was extensive and inviting. We chose a warm seafood appetizer, tortelli with turbot and bottarga, the legendary cacciucco (fish stew), and for dessert, meringue pie and pear and brandy sorbet. Everything was delicious, the fish was well-cooked. As for the cacciucco, which was otherwise very tasty, we would perhaps have preferred more boneless fish alongside the mussels, octopus tentacles, squid, and a lovely crustacean.

16/11/2025: I visited this restaurant recently, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The appetizers, especially the cured meats, were decent, but the accompanying fried pasta left much to be desired: it seemed to have been prepared hours earlier and had completely lost its flavor. The real problem came with the first courses. We ordered three, and surprisingly, all three had the same flaws: bland flavors, an almost complete lack of salt, and preparation that didn't do justice to the dishes described on the menu. When we politely pointed this out, we were met with a rather indifferent reaction, without an explanation or even an apology. At the end of the meal, we weren't even offered coffee or liqueur, which would have at least partially made up for a less than satisfying evening. It's a shame, because the promise seemed good, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. I managed to lose eight customers in one fell swoop.

10/11/2025: We ordered sharing plates and the food was great, you won't believe the quantity and the quality of it. We would definitively come back next time we are in the region.

11/12/2025: I'll start by saying I was there about a year ago, and I have to say that everything is always perfect... from the excellent pizzeria with its famous "cornicione" and high crust... well-cooked and with balanced toppings, to the seafood I tried... the service is excellent, with the discreet, courteous, and professional staff always attentive to detail, and the modern and unique atmosphere. I don't have any photos, but it's worth it. The quality/price ratio is excellent. In short, highly recommended ⭐️🔝⭐️

29/11/2025: The pizza dough was average. Not exceptional. The beer was Moretti only, and when we requested craft beer, they defaulted to gluten-free.

06/11/2025: It was during a visit to the city of Siena that we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling early one morning through the narrow streets outside the center. We ate on the terrace (in my opinion, it's much better than inside because it's very dark) and enjoyed a good meal accompanied by a good bottle of wine. However, while the quality is evident on the plate, the quantities are not sufficient for the price paid. The spaghetti alle vongole dish was good, but the quantity was absolutely paltry; two forks and the plate was gone. The service was a little confusing because there were new waiters who weren't yet familiar with the menu. I wouldn't give it more than a 3.

20/10/2025: We stayed there for two nights. We appreciated the beautiful and well-kept environment. In particular, the impeccable cleanliness and the size of the bathroom, which was above the average standards of other hotels. The location is ideal for traveling the Chianti road to San Gimignano, which is considered one of the most beautiful roads in Italy.

30/11/2025: A restaurant with a quiet atmosphere, organized into two rooms with rustic-looking wooden tables. The appetizers were simple but delicious: a sort of panzanella with stale bread, potatoes, beans, carrots, zucchini, etc., a "pomodorata" (a spicy tomato sauce), some crostini (livers, cream cheese, etc.), and some cold cuts. It's a shame there's no good prosciutto! The first courses are noteworthy: the pappardelle with wild boar ragù was very good, a generous portion, plenty of sauce, and a few olives to break up the repetitiveness of the ragù. As for the second courses, we tried a slice of meat, probably sirloin or fillet, and some roast potatoes. The meat was certainly good, but overcooked, making it a bit tougher than it should be. The wine was good; we chose a Sangiovese, with a nice fruity aroma, medium structure, and not too tannic, quite fresh and clean. Overall, we spent €35, a fair price for the quality and quantity of what we ate and drank. Sidenotes: The water is served in reusable bottles, so you often see some wine residue floating in the bottle. I would recommend cleaning the bottles better, as at first glance it might seem like there are impurities in the water.

27/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic restaurant with amazing seafood dishes and some of the best service I’ve ever encountered. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and despite the language barrier we managed to communicate with a mix of Italian, Spanish and English. The pasta dishes were a particular highlight and very filling by themselves, but we couldn’t pass on some calamari, so ended up sharing a portion and were very pleased with them as well. For dessert we went with the staffs recommendations and these were also spot on. Especially the cestino di croccante alle mandorle was a big surprise. This restaurant should be at the very top of recommendations for Lido di Camaiore and Viareggio.
