19/10/2025: This is a small, quaint restaurant in the center of town; there are only a few tables and a few dishes, but that's a good thing because you can enjoy good traditional Tuscan food away from the hustle and bustle. The dishes are well-prepared, the portions are moderate, the service is attentive, and the prices are quite high.

05/03/2026: Paradise!! Some of the best spaghetti I've ever eaten, the pork cheeks with truffle sauce were divine, and the stuffed baby calamari were wonderful. A very pretty restaurant that doesn't offer the usual, admittedly delicious, Tuscan dishes, but rather wonderfully creative culinary experiences, lovingly presented with flowers. The desserts were also divine! We went to this restaurant three times to try as many of these wonderful creations as possible. Kudos to the chef!!! The recommended wine was delicious. The owner, the staff, and the chef were all extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. We felt like we were in food heaven!

04/01/2026: We chose to come to this restaurant with high expectations, considering all the reviews online. I'm sorry these expectations weren't met. The place has its ups and downs. The ingredients are good, but the flavors are too often bland. Let's start with the highlights. The tartare with mustard mayonnaise was excellent, and the larded fillet with truffle was good (though you could taste it), although we might have expected a touch more tenderness from the meat. However, it was served (as is appropriate for such cuts) on hot plates to maintain the right tenderness. The meat is definitely the restaurant's heart. The wine selection is excellent, and the 375ml bottles are available, which don't hurt. Let's end here. The Chianti risotto with pistachio cream and pecorino fondue is definitely to be avoided. From a dish like this, you expect punch and flavor. When you taste it, you could taste the rice and little else. I didn't like it. Carrot flan accompanied by a parmesan fondue that was certainly delicate, to the point of being bland. Pappardelle with wild boar was neither good nor bad, with little kick: the bay leaves and juniper berries were missing (perhaps it's a Tuscan recipe, but whatever). Finally, two errors on the bill (let's say a bit high) that were certainly not a pleasant surprise (though the owners apologized). What can I say? Bad days happen, but I wouldn't go back.

28/12/2025: We went for one evening, and we'd already wanted to try this place on another visit to the area. Beautiful place, very welcoming and professional staff. We opted for a platter; the quality of the cured meats was good, and the cheeses were decent. We continued with pappardelle with wild boar ragù. Both the ragù and the pappardelle were good, but the pappardelle were a bit disconnected from the ragù. Our companions opted for a tomahawk steak and potatoes, spinach, and caponata as a side dish. The tomahawk steak was overcooked, woody, almost stringy. The side dishes, aside from the potatoes, needed a bit of a makeover: both the spinach (flavorless) and the caponata, unfortunately, were very flat. They have an excellent wine selection, including 375 cc bottles. We opted for an Antinori Chianti. We didn't opt ​​for dessert, and the waitress who served us was very kind, and when we pointed out the (over)cooked tomahawk steak, she offered us some bitters. Prices were average. Maybe, if we're in the area, we'll see it again because the place seems to have some (excellent) potential.

29/01/2026: When you say "the pleasure of being pampered"... We'd been hearing about this restaurant for a long time, from relatives, friends, and friends of friends from all over Tuscany, so it was time to try it, and it was wonderful to find so much quality in one place, so much so that we didn't know where to begin. The staff: They were both professional and welcoming. Always impeccable, they explained the dishes they served, the local and international wines, and even the (excellent) olive oils produced in the area. The location: The restaurant offers more intimate tables, both inside and outside, as well as larger tables for dining with family and friends, even directly overlooking Piazza Giotto. The food: Refined and delicious mixed antipasti (I loved the eggplant), mouth-watering pici with guanciale, tender and flavorful Florentine steak, and mixed side dishes with superb beans. The dessert of cream puffs filled with mascarpone (with melted chocolate on top, if desired) left me speechless. A unique experience of classic yet refined Tuscan cuisine. I recommend it to everyone!

18/02/2026: It was a joy to discover this restaurant. Both times I visited during my stay in Florence, we ate very well. The seasoning, atmosphere, and service were excellent. The prices were fair, and it had that comforting, home-cooked meal we hope to find in Italy.

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!

03/01/2026: We stayed in this splendid location for three nights over New Year's Eve 2025. The beauty of the relais, its rooms—particularly the exquisite furnishings—the Renaissance hall used for the New Year's Eve dinner, and the kindness of the staff (concierge, property manager, and waiters) are offset by some shortcomings that, for those who have stayed there, are unbecoming of a 5-star property: • I'll start with the most problematic and disappointing aspect: the sofa bed my son slept on, to whom I gave the double bed. The sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable, and you can clearly feel the bars on your back, resulting in a terrible quality of sleep. If we had known that a proper, comfortable extra bed wasn't available—as stated in the email I have—we wouldn't have stayed with the children. It's true that reporting this after the first night might have allowed for a partial solution, but one night would still have been lost. Given the price and category of the property, this is unacceptable, and a sofa bed of this type should not be provided or offered under any circumstances. • One of the rooms belonging to the family traveling with us had an exposed electrical outlet, with only a cover and no plate. • The bathroom in our room (a classic suite) does not have a bidet. • Upon our arrival, the welcome bottle had been forgotten; the staff, always extremely kind, apologized and promptly remedied the situation. • A cup used for tea the previous day remained on the bedside table even after the room had been tidied, without being removed or replaced. It was replaced on the second day. • There are no coat hooks: we had to leave our jackets on chairs and beds in an improvised manner. • Breakfast was poor and of mediocre quality. The cakes were good, but the croissants were unpresentable, even for a 2-star hotel. That said, for those who have previously stayed in properties of this category, we definitely do not consider this a 5-star hotel. I do not recommend it for value for money or for families with children.
