24/02/2026: Excellent welcome even though we arrived late, very friendly staff, delicious pasta. We highly recommend it!!

17/02/2026: A special place where you can experience an atmosphere of Pisan history, tradition, and hospitality. The menu is sure to please all tastes. Seafood, meat, and...the famous spaghetti that you can only taste here, intriguing you with names that hark back to the city's annual "Giuoco del Ponte" (bridge game)! I highly recommend it.

07/12/2025: Last night, by chance, while wandering the streets of Lucca's city center, we were struck by a soft light. We approached and went in to ask if there was a place for two; luckily, there was still a table available. I don't usually write reviews, but this time it was definitely worth it... A super evening... Amazing dishes, top-quality products, a fantastic atmosphere with an extra touch. Thanks to Luis's hospitality, who carefully explained all of David's dishes to us. Highly recommended, a fantastic experience for the palate and the mood. Thanks Luis and David. We'll definitely be back.

21/11/2025: Absolutely love it, and really glad we order the tiramisu, the orange favor brings it to the next level, it’s one of the must try dessert here.

15/03/2026: We dined here last night. The service was friendly, attentive, and very customer-focused from the start. The dishes were not only meticulously prepared, but also delicious (the triple-cooked pigeon, which I'd never eaten before, was a pleasant surprise for me). In addition to the main dining room, they also have other rooms that offer more privacy, and an outdoor space for the summer. They were very kind in showing us the wine cellar. Overall, an excellent experience.

15/03/2026: Historic restaurant in the heart of Lucca, with a warm, elegant, and personal atmosphere. Very friendly and professional staff. We had lunch from the à la carte menu and chose all seafood. Recommended.

16/03/2026: Really an amazing restaurant, I cannot reccomment this place enough! It has perfect location, charming view from a romantic terrace, wonderful stuff (Antonio is really one of a kind, his English the best I ever heard in Italy in 20 years…) and the food we had was delicious. Actually I was blown away the moment we entered the restaurant, as the waiter was immediately helping us with the babystroller and tried to distract our baby girl from having a tantrum in pouring rainy day in Siena. You can tell they know how to take care of their clients! The service only got better as they were ready to help us choose and in perfect English. We tried the seafood and also the burrata pasta and it was excellent. We saw other dishes that made us sorry we were there just for one day… We enjoyed their desserts, wine and the caffè granita too. The rain gave us enough time to savour it all… And all this time we felt welcomed, our baby included. We had no idea the restaurant had an amazing view and were able to see it as our waiter invited us to enjoy it with their umbrella despite the rainy day. His colleague even offered some interesting information about the city when he saw me looking at the pictures of Siena… they were very welcoming and professional, really a delight that made our visit so much better. All of them, the italian mamma from the kitchen as well. We will be back and congratulations to the owner, you have a real treasure. (Honest review of a demanding guest who looks for how the best service is delivered, as I got spoiled in Costa Smeralda. ;)) I came back later when the rain finally stopped for good to see the terrace once again as Antonio suggested, to know what to look for on our next visit. 16/02/2026: We ordered a plate of fries as an appetizer, but I didn't get a chance to eat them properly because the pizzas arrived shortly afterward (two minutes later), while the plates were still full. The atmosphere was very noisy, but the pizza was really good.

16/02/2026: The menu is vast and very good, the only downside is that the pizza is inedible, it looks beautiful with a nice crust, but the pasta is inedible.

02/01/2026: Excellent food and attentive service. The pear-filled ravioli was outstanding, the pizzas were well made, and the desserts rounded off the meal nicely. A very solid dining experience overall.

24/11/2025: We had dinner at this little trattoria in the middle of the Tuscan countryside and the food was divine! Everything was truly excellent, but trust me, try the red tagliatelle with beetroot, served with pumpkin and porcini mushrooms: AMAZING!

08/03/2026: For lunch with friends, we enjoyed the fabulous handmade tortelli made with a very thin dough, which melt in your mouth... unique! There are various toppings to choose from: ragù, duck, mushrooms, or simply oil and cheese, all special. To finish, the pork shank, also incredibly tender and tasty. Reservations are required, and well in advance.

08/03/2026: Fantastic potato tortelli! The beef sauce is very good and super light. They have two sittings for dinner in the evening: 7:30 or 9:30. And you can't go wrong. Average prices. Usually a bit crowded.

16/03/2026: I’ve come here multiple times and have brought many different friends here both for lunch and for coffee. However, when I came in this weekend, the woman at the bar was extremely rude to us. We were in the middle of a conversation when she welcomed us to the cafe, so we didn’t reply loudly enough for her to hear us. Although I understand that might have come off as rude on our part, her reaction was extremely unwarranted. She started berating us, asking us if we didn’t greet people where we come from, and arguing with us about our response. Frankly, it was embarrassing to introduce this cafe to friends, just to be treated so unkindly. This unprofessional behavior ruined this cafe for me, and I will not be returning. I hope for some self reflection from the staff for the sake of other guests, as it is not appropriate at all to respond to such a small faux pas with so much aggression.

16/03/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant/bookstore, which we found exceptional, both for its vegan cuisine and its selection of books. I definitely recommend it 💚

06/03/2026: Spurred on by several people and reviews, I stopped here for a quick sandwich before a concert at The Cage. The place faces the harbor, and I think it's definitely very popular, a favorite of harbor workers and truck drivers. Regardless, who cares, the formula is simple: you take a number and build your own sandwich based on all the delicacies on display on the counter. The organization behind the counter is questionable, but it's not bad. The ingredients and the end result are truly excellent! Beautiful sandwiches loaded with flavorful sauces and a bold flavor. The location is decidedly spartan, but it also offers outdoor seating. The price is on par with other places; honestly, I was hoping for something less. However, for the quality and quantity of selection, it's definitely recommended.

21/02/2026: February 14, 2026 My companion and I, tourists in Lucca, were looking for a place to celebrate Valentine's Day and happened upon this very charming restaurant. Luckily, there were two seats available, and we were able to enjoy an excellent dinner. The service was impeccable; everything exceeded our expectations. Congratulations. We hope we'll have the opportunity to return.

The cuisine lived up to its accolades: the authentic flavors of our tradition interpreted in an original and respectful way. We savoured the flavours and aromas of our grandparents' dishes and enjoyed the chef's beautiful presentations. The bill surprised us (in a positive way); we probably would have even paid a little more given the wonderful dinner we were treated to.
