My husband and I had lunch at the trattoria during a stay in Florence. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, with typical dishes to try. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I got recommendation from both the Chinese social media Red Note and The Fork. Checked the Google review, and also two AI tools, I thought this place was the right one to go for a family style T-bone experience in Firenze. I’ve been in Firenze for the third time, and I have been always cheering for the tradition and culture in the past. Today’s an experience, quoted from the waiter, was not a good day for me. The waiter recommended us a bottle of Chiante wine, we have decided to follow his advice to show respect, while we ordered the T-bone, which was recommended by many people. First of all, the wine is stored with home temperature, when he opened the bottle, I couldn’t feel the wine at all, since it was so “hot” for a wine. And it’s 45 euros after confirmation with the owner. The Tbone I’m not sure how to comment, but honestly, it’s a big portion, but quality wise, everyone has his/her own taste. The thing is, the waiter brought the raw steak to all American customers but us. After I asked twice, he finally brought one piece to me, and I was served earlier than the others who was shown a piece of steak beforehand. I would say it’s a potential differentiation of serving diverse customers. When I was asking for the bill, the wine was shown as 55 euros, honestly as a EU customer after paying so much taxes to the government, I’m not eager to pay the same as American customers minimum 15%, but the two of us paid 100 euros while the 4 Americans also paid 100 euros plus 15 euros tips. I wanted to tip, but the service in general made me give up my tips habit here. All in all, it was not the best experience I’ve had in Firenze, I’m sure it’s only once of a time, but I would highly recommend the owner to pay more attention to the food itself and enhance the knowledge of wine and how to make sure catering all customers equally.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the food was the best I've had in Florence. The pici and fettuccine were very much to my liking, and the steak and beef were all excellent. Booking through the fork also got me a 50% discount, which was a great deal. The tiramisu was also quite good.

It is a perfect place to enjoy meals, my parents gives 5/5 points for the beef. Everyone the the restaurant is nice and friendly!

Excellent service. The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. There were three of us, and we ordered the burrata, the pear ravioli, the Florentine steak, and, to finish, a tiramisu. We paired it all with a bottle of the house red wine. In a city full of restaurants geared towards mass tourism, this gem is the exception. I highly recommend it.

Small, intimate restaurant with amazing cuisine. We enjoyed every dish and the delicious wine. Top-notch. We were so impressed that we returned 2 days later. The service was attentive and extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

A truly pleasant experience at Trattoria Il Bargello. The pici were delicious, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The roast wild boar was simply exceptional, tender, and delicious. Special thanks to the chef, a hospitable, kind, and truly sweet man who made us feel right at home. If you're passing through Florence, I highly recommend it!
