Extremely courteous staff 😊. Despite some inconveniences that caused a delay in the delivery of the book I ordered, upon collection I was greeted with great kindness and helpfulness by a gentleman with white hair and beard. As an apology for the wait, I was also offered a small gift 🎁

Wonderful huge bookstore with an English section. The interior layout is dynamic and fun—for adults as well as kids. It makes me think of Piranesi’s Carceri d’Invenzione (Imaginary Prisons).

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.
15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.
