07/10/2025: A restaurant in the heart of Viareggio, with a predominantly meat-based menu, although there's a small selection of fish. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a wide selection of wines displayed on the walls and an open kitchen. We dined in the cellar for a birthday party and it was a wonderful experience. We started with a selection of excellent appetizers, then continued with the highlight, a delicious Chianina steak and melt-in-the-mouth pork ribs cooked in beer. The wine list is excellent, with a focus on Tuscan wines, and we were able to choose from a variety of labels. Everything was perfect, and the price was perfectly in line with what we ate and drank. Highly recommended.

05/10/2025: We were lucky to get a table for dinner on our last night in town. The food was very well cooked, well presented, delicious and with the outstanding service and great atmosphere, we would highly recommend a visit. If steak is your thing, Amaro Braciera is your place.

28/09/2025: Delicious food, a welcoming, family atmosphere, and polite, friendly, and cheerful staff. The bathroom is very clean, as is the entire place. The prices are fair and well-deserved, the meat is excellent, as are the pasta. If I weren't from Rome, this would become a regular. ❤️

03/10/2025: We ate at Agricola Toscana both nights that we were in Florence because after the wonderful experience the first night, we just had to go back. The food was fantastic. The first night we had Steak Tartar with Baratta and Truffles, Pappardelle al Cinghiale (Pappardelle with marinated Boars meat), and Sirloin Steak. The second night we had Filleto alla Griglia and Spaghetti alla Carbonara Tartufata. The atmosphere was casual and cozy. The service was incredible. Rifat was our waiter and he did an amazing job helping us navigate the menu despite my attempts at speaking Italian with his command of English and his humor. Adrianna (the manager) was very present and made sure everyone in the restaurant was well taken care of. On our second night we met Samaria, the owner's wife, and in her passion for the restaurant and providing hospitality to all guests was very evident. This will absolutely be in our next Florence itinerary!

20/09/2025: Excellent food at Da Piero! The tuna tartare appetizer was fresh and delicious, and the grilled octopus was perfectly prepared. The crowning glory: a tiramisu that was probably the best of my life. Top-notch service and excellent value for money – a clear 5 stars!

29/09/2025: A modest exterior, but the kitchen is the shop window. Run by Laura and Lucia, who greeted me with a warm “prego”, it felt the right place to begin my first Florence meal in years. Tagliolini al tartufo was their unhesitating recommendation: pasta cut and cooked perfectly, the sauce buttery and fragrant with truffles – 9.5/10. Lampredotto followed: Florence’s tripe dish, born of cucina povera. Robust, slightly heavy on seasoning, but balanced by unsalted bread and a bright salsa verde. Authentic cooking with real heart.

22/10/2025: Excellent food and service. We've been there twice in two days. The lasagna is the best I've ever had, and the ragu is delicious. Very attentive and friendly. The food is of good quality. We recommend it.

17/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last night. The tasting menu is a journey through flavors! The blue cheese with white chocolate, the tartare, and the wild boar tortelli were excellent. The atmosphere and service were elegant but not too formal! Highly recommended!

14/08/2025: Dinner at SaQua is a culinary journey – a modern approach to traditional Tuscan cuisine, where every bite becomes a small work of art, accompanied by a romantic view of the picturesque town of Montescudaio. This is a place where flavors blend and infuse the atmosphere. The restaurant is elegant, yet cozy. The staff pays attention to every detail of the guest experience from the very first moment. We opted for the tasting menu, and from the first bites, it was clear that this place is driven by passion and immense talent. Local beef tartare with avocado cream, olive powder, and crispy bread flakes – fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced. Blu di bufala – an intense buffalo cheese accompanied by sweet and sour toppings that created an extraordinary harmony of flavors. Ravioli with wild boar in butter and sage – our favorite of the evening and an absolute hit. The thin, springy dough and rich, deep filling made this dish a lasting memory. Tagliolino with pigeon, blueberries, and a hint of gin and tonic – a bold yet cohesive combination. Pork with puree and apple and plum chutney – the chutney was absolutely fantastic. Pre-dessert: cherry sorbet – intense and wonderfully refreshing Dessert - Hazelnut Namelaka cream, passion fruit, caramelized nuts, lemon meringue Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Simone Acquarelli – an incredibly personable man with a passion that shines through in every dish. SaQua is a place you want to return to – for the flavor, the atmosphere, and the people who create this wonderful place.

16/09/2025: What was supposed to be a romantic evening with my husband on our first night in Siena during our honeymoon turned out to be a major disappointment at Vivace Ristorante. We had made a reservation for 7:30, specifically hoping for a table on the terrace with a beautiful view overlooking Siena. Instead, we were seated at a less-than-ideal table, and the staff made no effort to offer a warm welcome. From the very beginning, the atmosphere felt uninviting. The service was extremely slow. It took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the dishes were mediocre at best. Honestly, my grandmother’s recipes back home are far better. To make matters worse, the head waiter was shockingly rude—not only to us but also to his own staff. Having worked in food service for over 10 years, I could clearly see how poorly he treated the servers, and it was uncomfortable to watch. The only kindness we received that evening was from the younger staff, who tried to make up for his behavior. One moment that really stood out was when my husband tried asking a simple question about the area. Mid-sentence, the head waiter interrupted him, walked away, and never returned to finish the conversation. It was dismissive and incredibly disrespectful. On top of everything, one of the first things we ordered was bottled water. It never came, yet we were still charged for it. When we tried to get the head waiter’s attention to address it, he blatantly ignored us, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. If you are American—or really any tourist—avoid this place. It feels like a tourist trap with overpriced, average food and unfriendly service. Siena has many wonderful restaurants with genuine hospitality—unfortunately, Vivace is not one of them. :-(

16/09/2025: The service here is terrible. We booked a reservation and were given the worst located table at the restaurant. The wait staff treated us as a chore and were very unorganized. We consistently saw food that the staff did not know where to run it to. The food was mediocre and took about 1.5 hours to serve a pasta dish. If you are American avoid this place, they simply do not care.

29/09/2025: Il Caldetino is the right choice even for the pickiest of eaters. The access from the main road may be a bit confusing, but it only gets better from there. The large parking lot allows you to find a spot even when fully booked. The fantastic menu and extensive wine list (QR CODE) are a gourmet's paradise. We've been there several times and tried practically everything. The service is also exceptionally friendly and the prices are reasonable. Note: Reservations are essential. We'll definitely visit again when we're in Tuscany.

22/09/2025: Almost perfect and a must visit, if you are around this area. Amazing food(for a good price). The startes(pulpo and croquetas) and main course(risotto, beef in bluecheese sauce) are really good👌🤤. The view is outstanding! The wine quality is very good(nice ripasso). However, work on your service and timings. The service is friendly, but the timings.. Glass prosecco 30 minutes waiting, starter 75 minutes waiting..
