13/01/2026: Good traditional Salento food and friendly service. The decor is a bit retro. Prices are average for the season, so a bit expensive, but they're worth the quality. This is my second time here, thanks to work and the proximity to the hotel. Recommended!

05/01/2026: A typical Salento trattoria. The vegetable dishes are unique, and there are many options. The menu is written in dialect and is charming. The portions are perhaps a little small compared to the prices. We may have overdone it by ordering several dishes because we wanted to try everything, and the price was a bit high. But it's true that we could have ordered less. Chicory, Catalogna chicory, stewed turnips, and many other interesting vegetables to try. This place's specialty is the fried and stuffed zucchini flowers, absolutely worth trying. The service could perhaps be improved a little.

15/11/2025: Excellent restaurant. The spaghetti with black garlic and purple shrimp is enough to fall in love with this place. The location has a stunning view.

06/12/2025: The restaurant itself is quite a pleasant place — warm lighting, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere that suggests you’re in for a good meal. I ordered the parmigiana, and I have to say it truly stood out. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and it felt like a dish made with real care. The service, on the other hand, left a bit to be desired. While everything was efficient enough, the staff came across as somewhat distant, which took away from the otherwise welcoming setting. My wife ordered the ceceri tria dish, and unfortunately it didn’t make much of an impression. It wasn’t bad, just rather ordinary and lacking the depth or creativity we had hoped for. Overall, the experience was fine — not terrible, not amazing — just okay.

24/09/2025: Unfortunately, it was already closed on September 23rd. I found information about it online on Google. We drove there especially and found the doors closed. The scenery is stunning, though, and when it's open, it's sure to be incredibly beautiful.

04/01/2026: This review is about the restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, though in my opinion the tables are too close together, with good background music that doesn't disturb conversation at the table. It was a dinner for two, but unfortunately the expectations weren't reflected in the flavors of the dishes. Cuttlefish julienne was drowned in a flavorless broth, and the crispy potatoes described on the menu were soggy. The other appetizer was off the menu, and I don't remember the name, nor the flavor. The cod steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, and paired perfectly with the creamed cannellini beans; you could taste the various flavors in your mouth. The purple gnocco wasn't made with purple potatoes, but rather purple potatoes and carrots, according to the waiter. The Gallipoli purple shrimp didn't make a great impression on the dish at all; they were just ordinary white shrimp, and the purple shrimp, even cooked, had an unmistakable flavor. The prices, however, were very fair for the setting. I'll conclude by saying that cuisine is always subjective. P.S. The panettone offered by the house is very good.

28/12/2025: I ate at this restaurant a week ago. The place is very beautiful, intimate, and well-kept. The staff is welcoming and professional. The menu has a nice variety and is appetizing. My overall rating is a seven, because what we ordered wasn't as extraordinary as we expected. We ordered a first and second course of meat, preceded by an appetizer. Their strong point is probably seafood, and there was indeed a large selection of very interesting catch of the day, but we weren't in the mood to try it. We'll be back for a second review of the seafood.

07/10/2025: GOOD but… DON'T GET THE RAW FISH! So let's start with the fact that the fried fish is very good. Like the other appetizers we ordered… but there's one big, big flaw. The raw seafood… too expensive for such an overly elaborate dish. But ugly, tasteless… only beautiful to look at. 3 flavorless tartares, not the best fish (by type), accompanied by a flask of boh-infused oil (sour, inedible, to be avoided). Except for this salty aside, which we could have easily avoided… The appetizer was good! And the first courses… WELL, my friend… The lobster first course was “SCARY”!! Beautiful, colorful, substantial, fresh, and so on. 2 important notes, however: 1st, well done for the selection of bitters (probably a local company, a series of very nice bitters found in many restaurants in the area). Second, you can't be a Michelin-recommended restaurant... and you have no system or way to keep the dining room cool. Two air conditioners, one of which is turned off due to condensation... too bad that in the summer, with wine, dinner becomes unbearable. The raw ham (which leaves much to be desired) and the heavy sweating on the plate cost them one star in this review. Turn on the fan now!!!!

03/11/2025: La Pergola Restaurant was a real surprise during our stroll through Santa Maria al Bagno. It's centrally located, right on the village square, overlooking the sea. The highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine, which proved to be excellent. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish, the true star of the menu.
