Especially the appetizers, the raw seafood, the flavorful and plentiful first courses, the fish, and the very unique and delicious desserts.
Good wine selection as well.
The only flaw is the service, which really didn't live up to expectations, both in terms of the staff's training and the table management.
A shame... also because the not-so-cheap prices can't be justified solely by the quality of the dishes, but also by the good level of service.
16/08/2026: Excellent food: impeccable seafood appetizers, especially the artichoke tart, and simple, traditional first courses that showcase the fresh fish. The outdoor setting is beautiful, in a period stone and whitewashed piazza, a traditional Apulian setting, well-maintained and beautifully presented.

13/08/2026: We ate terribly. The food was saltless, heavy, and too wintery. Everything had no flavor. The bread was hard, the appetizers were small and bland. We couldn't order the main courses because the owner told us after we'd eaten the first courses that they were sold out. I should point out that we sat down at 9:20 PM, and by 10:00 PM, the main courses were already gone, but the pasta was still overcooked. The service was too informal and unprofessional. Overall, a terrible experience.
13/08/2026: In the setting of a charming and unique village, Vite Colta welcomes us with an authentic Salento menu and excellent wines of their own production. Authentic, traditional flavors. Excellent portions and a fair price-quality ratio.
One "flaw" is the long wait between courses: even though it was the Ferragosto holiday, the wait was over an hour between appetizers and main courses. Absolutely recommended!

09/08/2026: We had dinner this evening at this beautiful place by the sea. It's a shame the rest leaves a lot to be desired.
Drinks are served practically warm, and when we pointed this out, they brought us ice that melted after two extra minutes. We had to wait over an hour for two pizzas that were honestly the worst I've ever eaten.
I strongly advise against it.
08/08/2026: The food is delicious, the staff is attentive, but above all, very warm. They place great importance on their guests' well-being and uphold a tradition worth experiencing. Worth a try.

Siamo stati davvero molto bene!
Il servizio è stato puntuale nel rispettare l'orario della prenotazione e soprattutto molto attento nel far mangiare le bambine per prime e insieme, anche se avevano ordinato piatti differenti gesto da noi genitori molto apprezzato.
Il misto fritto era davvero buono e leggero.
Ottima anche la pizza, anche se personalmente l’avrei preferita un po’ più sottile ma resta comunque ben fatta e digeribile.
I dolci sono una vera chicca, consiglio vivamente la millefoglie e il tiramisù, entrambi davvero deliziosi.
Servizio gentile, attento e impeccabile.

14/07/2025: Da tanti anni che andiamo in questo ristorante e ci siamo trovati sempre bene,ma questa sera ci siamo ricreduti.Abbiamo ordinato antipasto mare e terra che doveva essere x due persone ma da come ci è stato presentato non bastava nemmeno x mezza persona ( es. Un pezzetto di polipo di 3 cm può mai bastare x due? e così altre pietanze tutto minimal) .per non parlare poi della frittura di calamari presentata in piccoli pezzettini ( x farvi capire dei mini calamaretti che non sono indicati x la frittura duri e senza sapore).Chiediamo spiegazione al cameriere il quale va in cucina dallo chef per avere una risposta, ma non lo vediamo più. Chiediamo ad un'altra cameriera più esperta che ci delucita sul fatto che loro usano i calamari di piccola taglia in cucina e ci vuole rifare un'altra porzione di frittura ma noi rifiutiamo. Dopo per compensare ci offre un amaro che accetto volentieri. Vado a pagare il conto e mi ritrovo a pagare anche l'amaro . Insomma una vera amara serata.

14/07/2025: Il personale è sicuramente il punto forte del locale: gentile, garbato e attento, nulla da dire sul servizio.
Purtroppo però la qualità dei piatti non è all’altezza delle aspettative né dei prezzi (decisamente eccessivi).
Porzioni ridotte all’osso, fritture unte e senza alcun sapore che richiami il mare o la cucina mediterranea. Manca freschezza, manca cura, manca identità.
Un posto che, con tutta probabilità, continuerà a lavorare grazie ai turisti poco esperti di cucina locale, ma per chi conosce davvero il pesce e la tradizione italiana, è una delusione.
