12/04/2026: I went there to celebrate a wedding and it was very nice, a beautiful location surrounded by greenery and lots of trees, large and scenic rooms. Impeccable service, good food, well-prepared and plentiful.

11/01/2026: We had dinner in the evening at this beachfront spot. The atmosphere is lovely, but it's definitely more charming during the day with a beautiful sea view. The menu features seafood and pizza. We ordered a few appetizers, including fried sardines, and then opted for a seafood risotto, which was quite flavorful and a generous portion. The pizzas were very good, with excellent dough. The desserts were beautifully presented, including the cheesecake, which was delicious. It's a shame the crème brûlée was so cold, as it should usually be warm. Friendly staff.

19/04/2026: We had a great time. It's our first time in San Isidoro. We had lunch practically on the waterfront. The dishes were excellent, reasonably priced, and the flavors were incredible. We were truly satisfied. The spaghetti with sea urchins was truly exquisite. The beautiful weather made the lunch a success. The staff were helpful and courteous. There was a bit of a wait between the appetizer and the main course, but that's to be expected on a Sunday when it's crowded. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Reservations are essential.

If you like peace and quiet and have a car, it's the ideal place to spend a pleasant stay, whether you are a couple (like us) or with children and/or pets, it's very secure. 05/05/2026: My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant in the heart of Otranto. We were impressed by the warm welcome and the authentic atmosphere. We sampled traditional Salento cuisine, prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients: the flavors were bold and true to local tradition. The house wine was also excellent, and the service was always attentive and never intrusive. The value for money is absolutely fair, considering the location and the quality of the dishes. A must-visit for anyone who wants to eat well and feel at home. We'll definitely be back!

03/05/2026: We booked for lunch on a Saturday and the experience was truly excellent. The food was delicious, with the freshest fish you could taste in every dish. The location is very charming and meticulously maintained, perfect for enjoying a relaxing lunch. A special thanks to Giulio for his hospitality and service, truly impeccable and always attentive. For our appetizer, we had simply wonderful au gratin mussels, followed by delicious fried calamari and homemade potato croquettes, truly delicious. The bill was very fair for the quality. An excellent experience, definitely worth repeating!

18/02/2026: A pleasant discovery in the Galatone countryside: a farmhouse immersed in nature and silence, tucked away and fortunately far from the Salento nightlife. The culinary offerings are excellent, ranging from typical dishes to simple, traditional fare. Nothing particularly elaborate, but everything is good and substantial. The bill is reasonable (€30/person). The service is a delight 😉. Would I return? Yes.

27/04/2026: Masterful food – every dish is perfect and meticulously crafted. The shrimp pasta is absolutely amazing – perfectly al dente, perfectly seasoned, the shrimp juicy and full of flavor. The service and atmosphere are also top-notch. I will definitely be back!

30/04/2026: Lovely stay in a quiet area. Very child-friendly too. The owners are super friendly. In the end, we couldn't eat there because the restaurant was booked for a party, but we suspect the food is just as tasty and well-prepared as the breakfast. Calamate is highly recommended!

25/08/2025: I'd like to sincerely thank the owners and all the staff at Agriturismo Santa Chiara. They were always kind and helpful, ready to help us or check in. They offered us a beautiful room overlooking the pool. The included breakfast was delicious, with a nice mix of sweet and savory. Sometimes the lady cooks for guests, and I must say she's truly excellent. I absolutely recommend staying there for dinner, as it was a delicious and warm experience. The agriturismo is large and welcoming, perfect for taking photos or reading a book while relaxing in the sun by the pool. I found a bit of my hometown in them, as they are family-like, kind, and welcoming—just what I was looking for in southern Italy. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place.

05/04/2026: For a baptism, I had the pleasure of dining at this estate. It features a rustic yet welcoming setting, friendly and welcoming staff, a clean and well-organized restaurant, and dishes prepared with quality ingredients and beautifully plated. Service is a bit slow. The outdoor spaces are truly enchanting for relaxing and enjoying nature, and it also has a beautiful pool. In short, if you're looking for a different kind of day, this is the ideal place. Try it and believe it.

12/02/2026: The staff were very welcoming and courteous. The entire property displays great care and attention to detail. The suite with a pool is simply stunning, as well as very quaint. Even though it wasn't high season, our stay was still very pleasant, and the property is in top form. Plus, it boasts an excellent sea view. Definitely not to be missed if you're near Otranto.

09/01/2026: We stayed at this property for three nights. Upon check-in, we received a warm welcome that gave us hope. The masseria immediately struck us as beautiful and elegant. We booked two nights in a superior room, on two levels. The third night was in a suite with a small indoor pool. Nothing to complain about the interior decor and layout of the room, which is in typical Salento masseria style. Perhaps a little impractical, but nevertheless refined and tasteful. Problems arose after a few minutes... There was only one convector heater, which blew out lukewarm air and struggled to heat the entire room (the convector heater upstairs wasn't working). The temperature outside was close to freezing. There was no dehumidifier. The room was extremely cold, and the humidity inside was almost unbearable, so much so that water was dripping from the walls and the sheets were wet, as was the mattress. We reported the problem to the owner, who replied that it wasn't her fault if it was cold, and even if she'd given us extra sheets, they would still have been damp. She blamed the particularly cold time of year, not a clearly and grossly inadequate heating and dehumidification system. We didn't sleep a wink that night, and I felt very sick. I mentioned all this again the next morning to the owner, who downplayed the whole thing, saying it had never been this cold in Salento. She then dismissed me somewhat bluntly and resolved the problem her way, simply giving me an extra blanket. The second night, despite having paid for the room, we even went to sleep at a friend's house to avoid another sleepless night, especially considering the hotel's practically zero willingness to resolve our issue. To avoid completely wasting our money, we still enjoyed breakfast, which we have nothing to complain about because it was excellent. The third night, we moved to the Monaci suite, hoping the situation would improve. A stunning and beautiful suite with a wall-mounted split heating system that's significantly more efficient and independently controllable... although the walls were still dripping with water, and the floor was riddled with water. The bathroom didn't even have an opening window or ventilation system, and after a shower, all the humidity remained on the walls, clothes, and floor, even though we'd turned on the dehumidifier. At least we were able to sleep, because it was definitely warmer. But I don't think a property with such humidity problems (not just those with indoor pools) can be rented in the winter, especially at such high prices. I believe that the primary goal of a hospitality facility, especially one aiming to achieve certain standards, should be the OVERALL comfort of its guests. This review is simply an opinion based on our direct experience. **After reading the property's response to my review, I only found further proof that they clearly don't accept criticism and tend to place the blame on the guest's incompetence, rather than taking constructive action to resolve issues that make their guests' stay unpleasant. I would like to point out that no second split unit was activated in our room (the one upstairs wasn't working) and that we are able to use an air conditioner. ***The fact that their property is light years different from mine should be an EVEN MORE guarantee of a comfortable stay for guests, not the other way around! If a guest is forced to stay elsewhere, despite having paid for the room, there's clearly something wrong, and this is an objective fact, not a personal opinion.
