01/09/2025: Terra Nostra restaurant is conveniently located on the road leading to the center of Otranto. The atmosphere is informal. Regarding the food, the quality is good. The dishes are well-prepared, with fresh ingredients that make for a pleasant dining experience. The cuisine is honest and never disappoints, even if it doesn't reach the pinnacle of excellence. In my opinion, the quality-price ratio is a bit unbalanced, especially regarding the price! This doesn't affect my rating: when paying, I asked the owner to round up to the nearest 0.60 cents a total of more than €100. The owner said NO. Not very friendly...

19/09/2025: We stopped at this very cute little restaurant without a booking and the waiter ( which I believe was Rocco?) was super friendly and speak different languages ( French, Spanish, English ) . He recommended us his favorite wine which was a fantastic choice . The food was excellent. Overall it was a great experience to be looked after and not being considered as another tourist

18/09/2025: Excellent restaurant. From the service to the food. Rocco, the waiter, is a delight. Besides being friendly, he also recommended a delicious white wine! The restaurant is located on a quiet, yet quiet side street in the city center. We ordered pasta and calamari, and everything was excellent.

04/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on a recommendation with a group of six, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The service was extremely poor: once the food was served, nobody checked in to see if everything was alright. The dishes themselves were below standard — the meat was tough and fatty, the lobster was overcooked, and the pasta had an unpleasantly sour taste. When we shared our feedback with the manager, instead of showing understanding or offering any form of compensation, he simply defended the restaurant. This lack of professionalism and customer care made the experience even worse. On top of that, the restaurant’s atmosphere was underwhelming, more reminiscent of a staff kitchen than a place to enjoy a nice meal. Overall, a truly disappointing visit. Neither the food, the service, nor the setting lived up to even basic expectations. Answer to owners reaction; It’s quite telling that your response to criticism is not reflection but sarcasm. A professional restaurateur listens, learns, and values feedback — even when it’s not flattering. Our review was written honestly and respectfully, describing what we experienced. Your message, on the other hand, confirms exactly what we felt during our visit: a lack of respect for guests and for basic hospitality. We genuinely hope you can one day appreciate that constructive feedback isn’t an attack — it’s an opportunity to improve.

04/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on a friend’s recommendation with a party of six, but sadly the experience fell far below expectations. Service was inattentive from the start — after the food was brought to the table, no one returned to check whether everything was satisfactory. The dishes themselves were disappointing: the meat was tough and fatty, the lobster was noticeably overcooked, and the pasta had a sour, unpleasant flavor. When we shared our concerns with the manager, instead of listening or showing any willingness to resolve the issue, he dismissed our comments and defended the restaurant. This defensive attitude only added to the frustration. The ambiance didn’t help either; the setting felt more like a cafeteria or staff canteen than a restaurant where you would want to spend an enjoyable evening. Overall, a very disappointing visit. Neither the food, the service, nor the atmosphere came close to meeting even the most basic expectations. Answer on the reaction of mister Giordano. Your reply says far more about your restaurant than any review ever could. Instead of addressing a guest’s feedback, you chose mockery — which perfectly explains the attitude we encountered that evening. If the goal was to prove our point about the lack of professionalism, consider it achieved.

05/07/2025: The masseria is a real gem in the heart of Salento, looked after with great care by the owner, Mr. Barone and the staff. Excellent breakfast with all dairy products from the family business and sweets from Apulian patisserie. Very convenient location to reach the most beautiful beaches of Salento!! Gallipoli is close by and can be reached with the bicycles made available...

16/08/2025: I've been frequenting this family-run restaurant for years, drawn by the excellent value for money that has always distinguished it. For me, it was the right place to introduce my guests to authentic local cuisine, a true guarantee of success. Unfortunately, something has changed recently. I've noticed a decline in variety, quality, and portions, especially regarding the appetizers, which were once their strong point. Some iconic dishes, such as fava beans and chicory, "scattariciati" tomatoes, pearl barley or farro, grilled mixed vegetables, and other delicious recipes have literally disappeared. The eggplant meatballs now seem to be made more of mint-flavored bread than eggplant, the pecorino cheese cubes have been replaced by a bland primo sale, the potato croquettes are "bready," the bruschetta has shrunk and been stuffed with mayonnaise (!!!), and I could, alas, go on. I understand the price increase due to the economic crisis, but if this is coupled with a deterioration in the offerings, I'm sorry, but the quality/price ratio is no longer sustainable. I'm adding one star only in the hope that the quality of the past can be restored. Best regards.

11/09/2025: This was the best meal we had in all of Puglia. It is a hidden gem slightly outside of the tourist area. And it’s staffed by the warmest Italian owner and staff. Try the eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti with mussels, meatballs, and sausage!
