08/09/2025: Total disappointment, the quality of the food was really poor.

26/08/2025: A detour to enjoy excellent pizza and shrimp-filled ravioli with amberjack tartare. The house-produced rosé wine is excellent. For dessert, a pasticciotto with Salento-style coffee. All at a super reasonable price considering the wonderful setting we ate in. Next time, I'll be even more hungry to try other local dishes.

12/08/2025: Great place everything very good

06/08/2025: I spent the first week of August on a half-board basis. The modern hotel has an internal car park, 2 km from the centre, with an outdoor swimming pool, solarium and a brand new, well-equipped gym. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, from the girls at reception who are always smiling and good at giving useful advice on beaches and places to get around. The waiters are extremely professional, the modern rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varies from savory to sweet. Dinner offered a choice of 2 first courses, 2 second courses and side dishes with dessert, with typical local dishes and you could also choose pizza. Compliments to the chef and the pizza chef. What can I say? A wonderful hotel, first place among all those I have stayed in to date....top

03/09/2025: We were there last night, a beautiful and quiet place, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, the surprise of the house was wonderful to find the owner's dog who played with us keeping us company. I recommend it to all people who love good food and especially animals.

08/09/2025: I just wrote a review for Lu Spilu. I'll do it again. This restaurant, both traditional and otherwise, is excellent. The ingredients are top-quality, the owners are kind but not intrusive. The lady who prepares the desserts is very imaginative and original. You won't find it on the tourist circuit. It's located in Andrano on a small street. You won't regret trying it.

26/09/2025: After a long time, I've been thinking about it, and I'm finally giving my overall opinion, my review, of this place. Let's start with the assumption that, as described, it's an Osteria, and therefore should be compared to other establishments in its category. Both in the distant past and more recently, I've frequented it hundreds of times, from simply enjoying a simple but excellent pizza to convivial gatherings with family, friends, and dignitaries. It has never betrayed my trust. Never. At the Osteria of Maurizio and Letizia Protopapa, people I respect for their professionalism and great availability, it feels like being at home, in the best sense of the word, with the added bonus of good, typical local cuisine that's always fresh and plentiful, regardless of whether you're a regular or a passing tourist. They make no distinction, and I've always noticed this over time. Let's start by judging their "simple" mixed fried food and long potato panzerotti as a centerpiece. It seems simple, but there's art to it. To move on, even though we rarely order them, to the mixed seafood appetizers. For my tastes, the highlight is the sagne ncannulate (a sort of fresh pasta fettuccine rolled and closed at the ends), especially served with tomato sauce and horse meat strips, and then topped with a variety of seasonal accompaniments, such as today's fresh porcini mushrooms. The main courses are varied and always plentiful, from various types of roasted meat, pieces of horse meat in tomato sauce, quality cheeses and cured meats, fried fish, and more. They offer a wide selection of wines, both mid-range and high-end. The selection of beers is equally extensive, and finally, there's a wide selection of spirits to choose from. The price is very fair for the quality and quantity of food. My heartfelt compliments to Maurizio and Letizia, as well as to the kitchen staff, Salvatore and Antonio.

30/08/2025: The food is too expensive for what's on offer. I won't add anything else. The service: the waiters are kind and helpful, but it's unpleasant to have to wait several minutes for all the dishes to arrive. It would be nice to be able to start eating together. Unfortunately, it's not worth a second visit.

12/08/2025: We stayed here for 6 days. It's a quiet and private place in a typical Salento farmhouse. The room was comfortable and cozy, the pool was just steps away, and it was well-kept and not crowded. Convenient on-site parking was available. The location was perfect as a base for a tour of Salento. Thank you, Carlo, for your support and availability.

24/08/2025: The place is truly enchanting. It's a shame, however, that of the two Gallipoli oysters we had—very good—one was practically empty (given the cost and weight, I wouldn't have served it), and that the cuttlefish and fried fish included in the appetizer were at times rubbery. The lobster bavette was commendable. They could have done better. Overall, a pleasant evening, but I wouldn't repeat it.

15/09/2025: We are Mr. and Mrs. De Giorgi, and we are delighted to have spent an evening dining in a restaurant located in the historic center near a historic monument of Lecce, combining everything with the kindness of the staff and the delights of the first course, for which the owner professionally suggested the combination of mussels and clams. The rest was also excellent.

09/09/2025: The feeling is that of sitting on a stage, between the Castle and the church, evocative, romantic. Zero-cost products, grown in the backyard, with love and passion. And cooked with equal mastery. A home kitchen, the home of our memories, of childhood, of our grandparents. A cuisine that communicates love and sweetness. An experience to be relived and relived again.

24/08/2025: The experience was anything but positive: the owner regarded the customers with a condescending attitude and an inexplicable air of superiority, despite the dishes being absolutely disappointing, from start to finish. The dishes were meager and tasteless, far from expectations. Furthermore, some of the restaurant's imposed policies—such as the lack of common drinks (no Coke, wine, or other non-local foods)—seemed more like an ideological stance than a real added value to the dining experience. Never ask for a carrot or a salad: they'll greet you with a look somewhere between shocked and offended, as if you'd just asked for the impossible! The only positive note was the splendor of Felline's piazza and the aroma of the dishes served by the adjacent restaurants.

05/09/2025: This is a really nice place to have dinner for a glass of alcohol. The cuisine is pretty ordinary, it's hard to say that it was exceptionally tasty for the price.

16/09/2025: A beautiful terrace at the foot of the sea with a pleasant view. The fish and seafood dishes are fresh and well-prepared...and very generous. The service is fast. A great place to enjoy Sant'Isodoro beach and its natural swimming pool.
