11/07/2024: Wonderful place in the countryside. Lovely building. Quiet in the middle of nature, with a beautiful pool. Ideal for relaxing. Delicious breakfast, with sweets made in the Massería's own kitchen. Most importantly, the attention received by the host, which has been exquisite, with daily recommendations of places, pending at all times. Marvelous. Thanks Matthew!

06/07/2024: 6/7/2024 for my parents' fiftieth anniversary we had lunch with the whole family here at Tenuta Sant'andrea. The lunch was superb, all of excellent quality. Impeccable service, top hospitality. Super recommended for a holiday out of the ordinary. Thanks to Mrs. Tullia, Matteo and all the staff♥️♥️♥️

05/08/2024: Excellent! Fresh fish dishes prepared with care. Together with the spectacle of the bay in the center of the town, the restaurant really deserves the highest score. The choice of wines was also excellent and in my case having to drive and my friend didn't drink, the white wines available by the glass were also excellent. really satisfied to do it again.

14/07/2024: Situata nelle campagne di Surbo, a pochi chilometri da Lecce, Masseria Melcarne combina ambiente storico, una cucina eccezionale e un'ospitalità calorosa, per un esperienza imperdibile. Da prendere in considerazione quando si cerca una fuga dalla frenesia della vita quotidiana e ci si vuole immergere nella tranquillità e nel fascino rustico del Salento.

06/07/2024: Solo aspetti positivi. Abbiamo iniziato con un tagliere per due (abbondante) che comprendeva salumi e formaggi tipici, si scioglievano in bocca. Per finire abbiamo preso il famoso filone con salumi, formaggi, salse ed abbinamenti con frutta che è stata una vera sorpresa. Molto buoni e leggeri.

02/09/2024: Excellent service, excellent food, I recommend the fish starter, 5 courses of raw meat plus a large plate of cooked meat, a delicacy, cost 38 euros but it was worth it all. Our favorite place of all, so much so that we returned, I highly recommend... 5 stars all earned

29/08/2024: We stayed in the evening. Frankly we were largely disappointed. €80 that I feel was "stolen". Apart from the decent linguine with scampi and the sufficient grouper ravioli, you can't pay €12 for the carbonara mezze sleeves, a disaster (better to leave this dish in Rome) and above all the octopus salad: €18, a steal, cooked bad, soaked, unseasoned, and placed in a lot of curly lettuce. We come from a seaside city and we know what an octopus salad is (fresh at that). You can't serve such low quality dishes and cook poorly and charge so much for them.

13/08/2024: Typical restaurant for tourists in the historic center of Lecce. The outdoor tables along the not too crowded alley create a pleasant atmosphere. Mediocre food, considering the standards of the area, excessive bill (90 Euros for 2 very normal starters, a first and second course, water and two small beers), service that could be improved.

01/09/2024: Siamo andati pieni di aspettative conoscendo già il posto ma non credo di ritornarci. Capisco il caro vita ma pagare 6€ un piatto di frittatine per 2 persone con dei pezzi veramente minuscoli ( per intenderci: ogni pezzo di frittata era più piccolo di una praline di cioccolata). Carne buona ma molto costosa rispetto alla quantità. Contorno di verdure cotte.. 3 mini porzioni di cicorie, rape e fagiolini 10€. L'unica fortuna di questo posto è che di fronte c'è un bar. Personale un po assente e poco cortese. Hanno dato priorità alle varie tavolate piuttosto che al nostro tavolo che era miseramente composto di sole 2 persone tanto è che volevano sparecchiare ancor prima del servizio e questo conferma che non ci stavano dando la giusta attenzione. Non ci ritorneremo a meno di tornare quelli di una volta.

24/08/2024: The structure and the place are beautiful, excellent for families and if you want to relax, surrounded by greenery and close to Santa Cesarea Terme and Castro. The structure is impeccably presented, with a swimming pool, sun loungers and umbrellas, two barbecue areas, a relaxation area with vending machines near the pool. Large shaded car park. Reception from 8am to 8pm and in any case always available and kind to customers. Excellent quality-price. Excellent staff, congratulations to Mattia, Cristiano and Giulia for their courtesy and kindness.

29/08/2024: The location is practical because you can reach many beaches within 20-40 minutes by car. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful, very accommodating and tried hard! You should be an animal lover because there are dogs and cats running around, but they are not intrusive, very cute!

11/08/2024: We booked last minute. My expectation before arrival was mediocre, but as soon as I arrived… PARADISE!! Unique welcome with explanations on everything that Salento can offer, a ZOO (because it is not a farm) with a variety of animals maintained with care and love, horse-drawn carriage rides, reserved parking lots and many in the shade, excellent care of the greenery, the silence... what silence, what peace!!! The swimming pool, available from 8:00 to 20:00, with salt water is A FAIRYTALE!!! Well maintained and with sunbeds and canopies complete with curtains. A bar open from 10am to 2pm and from 2.30pm to 8pm offers a good variety of drinks including small and pinza as well as drinks, cocktails and ice creams. We had a wonderful time. It was what we were looking for, one of those places to return to because there is passion and you can breathe it.

28/08/2024: I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review on this place but as someone like me who has been working in the sector for over 20 years it is necessary to clarify some small things: -What is promised on the menu must be kept on the plate. (If I read "roast with prunes I don't expect a roast with stock cube gravy and potatoes) -Those who work in restaurants HAVE the OBLIGATION to tie up their hair and wear appropriate clothing (fortunately we have always found this in the rest of the places in Salento, here NOT) -The customer is NOT always right but if he asks for explanations he doesn't suddenly become a hungry person who doesn't understand anything. Having said this, I wish anyone who wants to have an experience in this place "bon chance!

26/08/2024: Are we kidding? It must have been very hot in the kitchen because the cook works in a tank top🤑. However the food is little more than decent. We ate better in the various food shops scattered around Salento. Avoid asking what's in the starter because he will answer you: many things I don't remember. So I'll post the photo. (€25 thrown away). Unacceptable

08/08/2024: Excellent experience offering traditional Salento cuisine in a green and relaxing context and the possibility of staying. Recommended for families thanks to the safe spaces offered. the restaurant is excellent thanks to the expert cook and the courteous and attentive manager of the location. The menu offers a wide choice of typical dishes such as broad bean cream with chicory, Ciceri and tria, and orecchiette available in all traditional and vegetarian varieties such as meatballs and provolone podolico fondue or turnip greens. An excellent almond and fig spumone completes everything. I would say you couldn't ask for more. thanks we will be back

31/07/2024: Excellent stay at this farmhouse in July. Accommodation complete with all comforts with air conditioning and daily cleaning. Features a kitchenette and fridge. Fenestrated bathroom. The gem is the external porch which allows you to relax after returning from a day at the beach and in the evening. Structure surrounded by greenery but really just a few km from the center of Gallipoli. Strategic position to visit all of the Ionian Salento and its beautiful beaches. Even at the restaurant you can eat very well with typical products (the Calamate appetizer for two people is super). I highly recommend this property also for the staff and how they take care of their guests.

16/08/2024: Braceria in the historic center of Lecce, excellent meat, the only flaw is poor organization in managing the heat, no air conditioners, a little slow service, but overall an excellent place to eat excellent grilled meat at reasonable prices

15/08/2024: Experience not to be repeated. We had a reservation at the restaurant, trattoria la locanda in the centre, until a waitress told us that we had to sit in the room opposite because there was no air conditioning in that one. The starter was good, to follow we ordered a slice of Agnus, which in theory should have been their strong point, it was so cooked as to be inedible, it looked like rubber, in fact it was almost completely left on the plate, as after having tasted it we were nauseated. Having alerted the dining room staff to the condition of the meat, at the time of the bill only 4 euros of the 24 euros in the price of the meat were deducted, as it had been "tasted". To make sure we didn't miss anything, we also had to witness a fight between two waitresses who almost pulled each other's hair. Last but not least we were sick with our stomachs all night.
