28/09/2025: Excellent restaurant with mouth-watering food... we ate fried octopus with gazpacho and tuna with caramelized onions... divine dishes, not to mention the sublime desserts... my husband is celiac and ate divinely!! Compliments also for the service and courtesy. We will definitely be back... the Masini family are guests of Sestosenso Suites.

Elegant table settings, all in fabric, refined plates, engraved silver cutlery (replaced with each course).
Fantastic lime and pink peppercorn butter; breathtaking red shrimp tartare with stracciatella (or burrata?) foam; aubergine parmigiana elevated to sidereal heights; pavlova worthy of a bow. Add to the excellence of the menu the professionalism and courtesy of the owners and staff.

04/10/2025: We came based on a recommendation but left disappointed. Overpriced a touristic, but to be expected with this location.
Vegan options were barely available, and even a basic vegan pasta came with extra charges for every ingredient, which was frustrating.
We also felt so rushed by the staff at the end, even though the place wasn’t full at all. Almost like we were being pushed out. Besides that, food was very good and fresh but overall, not a pleasant experience for the price.

Every bite was an explosion of flavors that made me fall in love with the cuisine. It's not just food, it's a unique sensory experience! The impeccable service and welcoming atmosphere completed a perfect lunch.

12/10/2025: A restaurant where a rustic ambiance meets traditional Sardinian cuisine. An absolute insider tip where authentic, delicious Sardinian dishes are served. There's no menu; instead, various dishes are served in several courses. A highlight is the roof terrace, narrow and winding but utterly charming. The staff are all very friendly. But be careful! You won't be allowed in without a reservation. The staircase offers a nice sense of tradition; it's like walking through a small museum.

The fireplace is the highlight of the dining room, and many dishes are prepared here. We're already looking forward to next year. Until then, all the best and arrivederci

09/09/2025: A very elegant venue with super friendly and professional staff. We opted for the "Del nostro territorio" tasting menu, with wine pairings for each course. All the dishes were beautifully plated, and the wine pairings were top-notch, with detailed explanations. Highly recommended.

The servers are friendly, and the music is cool.
They made a mistake with our order, but they didn't charge extra, even though I ended up eating two appetizers.
And... horrible: there was no coffee :-(

30/10/2025: Fantastic meal in a great family restaurant. Duck ragu was a highlight of a trip on which we ate very well. La Toppa is a great reason to visit San Donato in Poggio!

09/10/2025: The service was quite good, friendly, prompt and kind. I had the tuna steak with sesame, but it was very fishy and not edible. The salad with bacon and cheese was good and the tuna tartar was very good. I perhaps had a bad piece of tuna.
