30/03/2025: We came to Ranco to experience Lake Maggiore for the first time. Spring was beautiful. The hotel was like staying with family. The views and gardens are spectacular! Our room had a large bed and all the amenities but honestly the terrace was the star of the show. To open the doors and watch the sunrise bounce off the mountain backdrop was breathtaking. The restaurant served some of my very favorite bites we had in Italy. I can’t wait to see this place in the summer.

29/12/2024: Quality and courtesy. Excellent restaurant with a varied menu from game to lake and sea fish. Discovered by chance, I never fail to stop by every time I come to Maccagno. From Monday to Friday also fixed menu lunches. Very friendly staff who immediately make you feel at ease. Really good food.

18/11/2024: Cibo normale né eccellente né scadente (tra l'atro siamo andati a pranzo e alcuni di noi volevano la pizza ma abbiamo scoperto che la fanno solo a cena, non c'era scritto da nessuna parte), servizio insufficiente purtroppo. Eravamo 6 adulti e 4 bambini, ho chiesto se avevano un seggiolone e mi è stato risposto: "Sono là" e me lo sono dovuta andare a prendere da sola. Il signore che ci ha servito faceva troppe battute che a un certo punto non sembravano piu' battute ma sembrava proprio scocciato, tra l'altro ho chiesto una ciotola per poter dividere il dolce tra i bambini e ha risposto: "Non abbiamo ciotole" allora ho chiesto un piatto o una qualsiasi cosa per poterlo dividere e ha reagito seccato. Ma la cosa gravissima è che ha aggiunto 48 euro al conto (quindi non una svista ma fatto apposta)!!! Menomale che ce ne siamo accorti e quando siamo tornati a dirglielo non si è neanche scusato ma ha bestemmiato, allucinante.

17/03/2025: Went to dinner, ordered mixed fried food and fried onion rings.... the plates were practically EMPTY, I was shocked and very bad, 1 place in my life being served like that for a sum of 32 euros..... returned home HUNGRY

I piatti, preparati con ingredienti freschi e di qualità, sono stati un’esplosione di sapori, mentre l’ambiente molto accogliente e casalingo ha creato una perfetta cornice per la serata. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale. Un’esperienza da ripetere assolutamente!

07/10/2024: Ieri ho festeggiato il mio diciottesimo ai rustici, è stata una bellissima serata in un posto accogliente e caloroso ma soprattutto questa serata è stata possibile grazie alla bravura, simpatia ma sopratutto alla professionalità di Daniela Schiaffi bravissima nel suo lavoro ma oltre a questo è anche una persona a modo in grado di mettere i suoi clienti a proprio agio. io personalmente non avevo dubbi sull'uscita di questa serata perché secondo me l'esperienza lavorativa vuol dire tanto e poi secondo me ci voleva proprio una persona così per rendere così calorosa il ristorante della villa porta bozzolo.

24/03/2025: It was an amazing experience! The pizzas were simply delicious, full of ingredients and authentic flavor. The owner was very kind and super helpful, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. And the cannoli? Simply divine! A place that I recommend and I will definitely return.

29/03/2025: They often ran out of chips. Let's leave the meat of the sandwiches alone. They could add more gluten-free sandwiches since the mec offers them but they don't put them on the list

12/04/2025: Pappardelle with wild boar ragù good, cooked al dente done well. The 2 carbonaras to say the least to be reviewed. Shredded egg cheese that didn't feel like bacon with burnt black parts that released a much loved flavor! The pasta is not al dente but undercooked. I put it forward and the waiter didn't ask why when I politely told him because he wasn't looking in the face and just seemed to be in a hurry to clear the plates!! His explanation was to say the name of the brand! Maybe he doesn't know that the name doesn't fit, if you don't cook it for the correct time it will be done badly... modeling it left a white mark so at least another minute was missing... but the guy in the room evidently doesn't know these things! We had to ask for the bread. He didn't ask if we wanted condiments and when he took the knife away he didn't bring me another one! I took the potatoes with rosemary but they were without salt and the rosemary was a piece of sprig from the dish which not only gave no flavor or even aroma. The bill? Well, annoyed by the waiter's attitude, we didn't take any sweets or coffee or cappuccino. We wanted to give it another chance thinking it had been a bad day but with that attitude we will never set foot in it again. You expect a simple place with more Roman ways... but instead you find yourself in a restaurant like many others that don't execute the typical dishes for which it is chosen well. !! At the Corte dei Brut the carbonara is made so much better! Then you see on the bill that they charge 4 euros for the water and cream (1 bottle)!!!! And the cost of cover? 4 euros and you get paper napkins. In short, one of those "I would like but I can't, or rather I can't" places! NOT RECOMMENDED!! Too bad that due to the waiter's ways we won't give a second chance! Who knows how many others are like this. Plus I saw their absurd responses to the comments! All done using "wanted" terms but placed there like confetti at carnival! Always to say that it's your fault and not to ask why there are so many comments like this. If only I had read them before..! Ah the car park is not as big as some comments might suggest. We booked a table for 8.30pm on Friday at 7.30pm. There was room... when we arrived there was a couple and us. At that point they turned on the next room otherwise they would be in the shade. Plus it was cold! I REPEAT....HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

02/02/2025: Fake gluten-free pizzas. The pizzas with gluten-free dough are cooked in the oven with the other pizzas, as declared by the girl over the phone. Not good for celiacs, even if they say the opposite.

10/02/2025: Ho visto le recensioni su The Fork e mi sono fermato per un pranzo di lavoro. Veloci, cameriera cortese, buono tutto, salmone grigliato con contorno di verdure grigliate, acqua caffè coperto totale € 11,50. Ci tornerei

06/02/2025: In vena di festeggiare usciamo a pranzo per la prima volta in questo locale. La zona pranzo è ricavata all’interno di un dehor vetrato molto luminoso e ben arredato in stile moderno. Oggi saltiamo gli antipasti e prendiamo direttamente 2 primi e 2 secondi di pesce accompagnati da una buona bottiglia di vino. Tutto buono, con ingredienti di qualità e ben cucinati. Per concludere anche un paio di dolci che oggi ci stavano. Nota di merito al servizio, giovane, efficiente e cordiale. Prezzi giusti per la qualità offerta. Consigliato per godersi un pranzo (o cena) in tranquillità. Comodo per la quantità di parcheggio (se non ci sono partite di calcio).
