Medioevo In Varese

03/07/2026: Casarecce pasta with meatball sauce (gnocchi as an alternative), grilled meat with fries (meat and fish dishes, stuffed olives, and much more as a main course), generous bread, a liter of mineral water, a quart of wine, and coffee. Generous portions for a business lunch menu for €14, all included. If they had canederli, it would have been like a South Tyrolean mountain hut. Until recently, it was located in a narrow street in the center of Cunardo, but now it's in a small, green hamlet. Friendly, fast service, Nordic-style. A wide selection is available à la carte. A stroll through town allows you to discover some historical relics, though not universally appreciated. With a wide selection of wines, those who don't want to run afoul of the law can take the bus just fifty meters away (towards Luino, Varese, and Ponte Tresa). Pizza is also available at noon on Thursdays.

17/05/2026: Honest trattoria. Sunday menu, with quick and tasty dishes. We tried a couple of first courses and a couple of second courses. Everything was well prepared, and the service was prompt and courteous.
