12/03/2026: I've lived in Morazzone for about ten years and occasionally frequented the SeM pastry shop. Now that I have more time, I do it more frequently and I appreciate first and foremost the hospitality of both Sara and Mariano. When they're not too busy, you can engage them in pleasant conversation. The employees are no exception, always welcoming you with broad smiles and a warm hello. Being a pastry shop, it's impossible not to mention this one... croissants (no, sorry!), brioches aren't the only good thing, not to mention the mini pastries and cakes... Then, around the Christmas, Carnival, and Easter holidays, there's a variety of panettone, chiacchiere, tortelli, and Easter doves prepared by Mariano's expert hands with top-quality ingredients that enhance their flavor! The catering service is also worthy of a truly high-quality establishment, where Sara guides and helps customers choose the best to satisfy their palate. I recommend everyone stop by, even for a simple breakfast, and you'll leave very, very satisfied.

16/02/2026: My cell phone's GPS isn't up to date. I live on Via Garibaldi in Varese. To get to the Varese art gallery, my phone's GPS takes me down Via Bernardino Luini. I could have gone by car or on foot from Via Dandolo.

16/01/2026: We returned this summer for lunch after reopening. The dishes were exceptional, from appetizers to desserts, from first courses to second courses. A perfect blend of traditional local flavors with fresh, modern touches. The careful selection of authentic ingredients and the meticulous preparation of the dishes, all delicious and delicate, reflect the experience and expertise of the kitchen staff. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, with a young staff, in a rustic, traditional setting. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it. Well done! PS: The Piedmontese beef tartare, pictured here, is excellent.

12/10/2025: Nice, tidy, and clean place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is nearby. We stopped for breakfast. Friendly staff, classic croissants, and a good coffee. Prices are reasonable.

15/09/2025: I went there on Sunday morning with my family and my parents. It's a super cute place, clean and welcoming both inside and out. The owner is very kind and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it, especially given its proximity to the lake. I will definitely be back.

05/01/2026: We were there in December 2025. Sure, it was packed. But the wait just to order drinks, let alone for them to arrive, almost made us leave. If only we'd listened to that advice, because apparently the second course from the daily specials was no longer available. So we resorted to the owner's suggestion. Interestingly, some guests who arrived much later still received a full daily special. The wait for the food was also incredibly long. The real surprise came at the register, because instead of the daily specials, we were charged for an evening set menu, and instead of the advertised €15 per meal, we ended up paying a whopping €70 for the whole thing, with abysmal service, endless waits, and tastes like measly. The portion sizes weren't exactly a pleasant surprise either. My conclusion: if you don't want to deal with German-speaking customers, you can tell me straight away, and I'll look elsewhere. But to be treated like this is almost beyond belief.

09/12/2025: Company dinner, decent and plentiful seafood dishes, somewhat lackluster spaghetti with clams, okay service, somewhat small venue for group dinners.

25/10/2025: Panini of octopus and tuna smacked of lunch with local fishermen. An authentic quick meal without the touristic hoopla.

19/10/2025: This place in town was recommended to us, partly because after trying a restaurant the day before, we decided to eat some street-food-style raw fish. It ruined our vacation. The next day, I called an ambulance, and all four of us ended up with food poisoning.

03/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve two days ago at this lovely historic residence, but I wouldn't go back even for free... New Year's Eve dinner (GALA, to be precise): Aperitif from 7 to 8 pm (we arrived at 7 pm) everyone gathered in a small living room. As people arrived, there wasn't even room to put down a glass of sparkling wine. Furthermore, for appetizers, there were only small pieces of vegetable pie and pickled onions; the drinks were water or sparkling wine. After half an hour, the trays were empty; the people who arrived later barely managed to get a drink. When we arrived at the table to begin dinner, a "couple" arrived. She was practically NAKED, wearing a completely sheer lace sheath dress that reached barely halfway down her butt, leaving her butt and "front" in plain sight. I should point out that she wasn't wearing underwear, much less a bra!! (I'll start by saying I'm an open-minded person, but there's a limit to everything.) Panic broke out when she started dancing alone in front of everyone, approaching the tables looking for "men" to dance with her! The people sitting at the tables were shocked (including the waiters), some laughing, others getting up and leaving in DISCOMFORT! She was reprimanded several times and removed from the venue throughout the evening (I believe by the head waiter after several complaints from customers), with the requirement to return dressed appropriately. But each time she returned, she was increasingly naked, even with the lace torn from her breasts to expose them! The head waiter's response was, "We don't know what to do; we've never had anything like this happen to us." In my opinion, as well as that of many others present at the time, the sad thing about this whole story is that no serious action was taken. The lady in question should have been REMOVED from the room immediately out of respect for everyone in the room who paid good money to be there... It was a "red light club" night, not a GALA!! Back to the dinner menu, terrible! I expected much more; we ate practically nothing. The best thing? I think the panettone! Breakfast the next day was very limited, I'd say, and of poor quality for a 4-star hotel...

24/01/2026: A wonderful experience. Tonight, like every week, I stopped by the ice cream shop with a friend. We were greeted by Erica, a very kind girl who knows me by now, being a regular customer. The service was excellent, she was always very smiling and friendly. The ice cream was delicious. Even though my favorite flavors were sold out, she made sure to let me try new ones! And I must say, she nailed it! Undoubtedly the best ice cream shop in Varese. Excellent staff!

26/12/2025: Terrible experience. I went in and ordered an ice cream and a crepe. The ice cream was for my husband (who was waiting in the car), so I went to deliver the ice cream to my husband. When I returned, I found myself faced with a group of young people who had come in much after me, and the lady was serving them even though she should have finished placing my order. So I confronted her, telling her that I was rightfully there first, and she was indifferent. After half an hour, she had finished serving the young people and started serving other customers who had come in later. After waiting half an hour, I was fed up and asked for a refund. Aside from the fact that she had given me €0.50 less than what she should have given me, she was very rude towards me, and even looked at me dirty.
