The place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfectly in keeping with pub style, with wooden furnishings and unique details that make it quaint and relaxing, ideal for an evening with friends or a quiet beer. The atmosphere really gives off the feeling of a family-run establishment, with the attention and friendliness that make you feel at ease. There's a wide selection of beers. I had a Kwak Strong Ale, served beautifully and at the right temperature, with its characteristic, scenic presentation on a wooden stand—a detail that always makes an impact. It's beautifully bitter, full-bodied, and aromatic, truly excellent. A small bowl of popcorn is also served, which is appreciated. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is quick without being rushed. Prices are average for the category. The only complaint is the strudel: it's good, but for €6, we expected a slightly larger portion. Recommended if you're looking for a casual yet elegant place to enjoy a good drink and a quiet evening.

25/07/2026: A truly disappointing experience. I was extremely perplexed by what happened at this place. As an Italian, I felt treated so poorly that I felt like a tourist who had stumbled upon it, despite being at a table with locals. The welcome and service left much to be desired: we were greeted with the so-called "basic service" (as the waiter described it), which consisted of four still and four sparkling waters being automatically brought to the table. Now, the question arises: what if someone didn't like sparkling water? Wouldn't asking before serving be a minimal gesture of consideration towards the customer? To top it all off, we were brought chips considered part of their "supplementary service," only to find them promptly on the final bill. A ploy that clearly looked like a way to extort a few extra euros from customers. The pizza was good, it must be said, but the treatment I received left me truly outraged. I will never return. Goodbye.

20/07/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at Pepe Rosa in Varese was extremely negative. We booked for 8:00 PM and only managed to get out at 11:00 PM. An endless wait for a simple dinner of... Pizza... Service and timing: It took a full hour just to take everyone's orders. An unacceptable pace. Dessert arrived after four calls; it seemed like an insurmountable obstacle. Incorrect strategy: As soon as we were seated, before we even ordered, they brought us unlimited water, both sparkling and still (we didn't like sparkling but thought it was free and didn't mention it) and chips we hadn't asked for, which we still didn't refuse because the waiter implied they were free, even though the protagonist of the incident later charged us for them at the reception. A shady way to "extort" our alms (that's what I call them as an entrepreneur) right from the start, securing an extra income of almost €40 on unordered items. Welcome at the cash register: cold, arrogant, and visibly unfriendly. Truly poor. Food and bill: The pizza was absolutely average, and the list prices might be fair, but the final impression was one of pure, disguised financial extortion. Conclusion: The average food quality doesn't justify such treatment and such slow service.

Pleasant atmosphere and original design with authentic touches of Japan, through sitting on cushions at a low table next to regular Western seating. The food is excellent, the best Asian in the area. You can feel the freshness of the raw materials, the treatment of them is wonderful, the seasoning is delicate and precise. A real pleasure

Instead of acting professionally, the staff started judging me based on my appearance, glaring at me and making a fuss about my clothing. Then the worst part: the waiter started making assumptions about my skin color, telling me the ragù had pork and chicken, as if that were a problem for me, just because he mistook me for Moroccan. It's a shame I'm Italian, and above all, it's a shame that in 2026 there are still places that operate with prejudice rather than professionalism. In the end, they "allowed" me to stay outside only as an exception, as if they were doing me a favor. In reality, they were just looking for a stylish way to mask outright discrimination. A place that treats customers based on prejudice and then talks about "exceptions" deserves neither respect nor money. Never again.”

02/08/2026: We discovered this trattoria by chance, because we were near the Archaeological Park and were looking for a place to eat. Now, however, we'll have to return specifically... because it's truly delicious! We tried the parmigiana, the cannelloni, the grilled braciole, the crostata, and the fruit salad: we absolutely recommend everything! We're convinced that every dish on the menu is prepared with the same care and is equally delicious. If you're passing through, stop by without a second thought. Highly recommended!
