26/01/2026: We've been customers of this restaurant for a long time, but with the new management, we were truly surprised and positively surprised. The quality has taken a noticeable leap. We ate incredibly fresh, authentic fish, made with natural, top-quality ingredients, including excellent caviar. Everything was meticulously prepared, with a quality that was clearly evident. The new owners, Vincenzo and Alberto, are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and passionate, capable of providing excellent advice and truly showcasing the finest ingredients. It was an experience that won us over and one we absolutely recommend.

23/10/2025: I recently had lunch there and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the excellent service. The cuisine was delicious and the dishes were impeccably presented. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

11/10/2025: What a fantastic dinner experience! From the moment we walked in we realized we had come to a special place. This is a boutique family run restaurant that pays attention to every detail to ensure their guests have a memorable experience. Genni was our hostess and even though we didn’t speak proper Italian she took the time to explain everything to us (with a combination of Italian, Spanish and English). We enjoyed a wonderful selection of dishes specially prepared by her partner Alessandro who is a very talented chef. We particularly enjoyed his special interpretation of “zuppa di cipolle” (onion soup Parisian style), his unique “Maialino Ibérico” (slow cooked to perfection!), and a veal “Valdostana” (kind of like a Cordon Blue but with a much better cheese and a very tender meat). Our meal was paired perfectly with a Dolcetto D’Alba Micho, recommended by Genni. And we finished our dinner with a very nice Tiramisu because, “Why not?!” We enjoyed sharing our traveling experiences with Genni and Alessandro who also went out of their way with some excellent recommendations for the next stops in our journey! I highly recommend this place for a fantastic meal when visiting Angera!

24/01/2026: We've eaten here many times, and the food is truly delicious. The empanadas are the highlight; they have a wide variety of flavors and are made fresh. The owner is always very friendly and helpful. We've both sat inside and taken out, and they've never disappointed! Try it!

02/03/2026: The location, we know, is beautiful, we're in the heart of Varese. The dishes are very good (except for the desserts), which lowers the rating. The kitchen closes at 10 pm, so one of our guests is left without a second course (we could have been warned). In any case, I find it embarrassing on a Saturday night. The waiters are very friendly, except for the manager, who never makes his customers feel comfortable. (But that's well known.) It has all the credentials to be among the city's top five, but it needs work. In any case, it's definitely worth a visit.

01/03/2026: It's a perfect choice for a romantic dinner in the center of Varese: the atmosphere is elegant and refined, with the option of dining in the internal courtyard/garden when the weather permits. The experience focuses on quality over quantity; the menu isn't particularly long, but the dishes are beautifully presented, the quality is undeniably superior, and the staff is very discreet and elegant. There's also a touch of originality, with dishes often revisited with unique and extremely fresh ingredients. The location is very central, and the restaurant has multiple rooms on multiple levels, including an outdoor area within a private courtyard. The place is very quiet, the tables are well spaced, and the service is quick and attentive. Recommended.

22/02/2026: I couldn't even test it because a lady answered the phone saying the number was wrong. Obviously, that's not true, as I got it directly from the website. I tried from three different numbers and got the same answer, a very calm one at that. If the number really was wrong, after I don't know how many calls I received, it would certainly have been more upsetting. In any case, shame on you if you behaved indecently.

24/09/2025: You'll find the best food products (cheeses, etc.) here. Not cheap, but high quality!

11/02/2026: There's no seating inside the restaurant, but about 35 people can sit outside. Tables are usually set up for four. The food is delicious, the place is clean, and the service is quick and friendly. I'll try the pizza next time. It looks delicious.

10/07/2025: Excellent rotisserie inside the Madonnabin Campagna shopping center. Truly a wide variety of oven-baked rotisserie, delicious skewers, roulades, chicken (even pieces), salami, luganega... It's really hard to list everything they do. And they do it well, always tasty and tender. They also offer first courses of the day, hot fried side dishes, salads, grilled vegetables, and fish on Fridays, along with a decent selection of beers (but not on tap) and soft drinks. You can eat in; it's a bit basic and doesn't have a lot of seating, but it's very clean. The prices are good, to be honest, even low for the quality of what you'll get. They also do fish on Fridays (I'll be back to try it, but I can't give you an opinion right now). Recommended both for a quick lunch break, or if you don't want to cook at home and want to eat good, authentic food (not always diet-friendly, mind you, but definitely tasty and well-cooked).

18/12/2025: I was there yesterday, December 17th, for a company dinner. The room was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the atmosphere was cozy with a fireplace. The waiters were excellent. The risotto was really good.

09/03/2026: Let me start by saying it's a historic bar with a 20th-century feel. The decor and ambiance remind me of the bars I frequented as a child, and fortunately, modernity hasn't completely changed the bar, which remains crystallized in its identity. This is priceless to me. I happily spend my work lunch breaks at Bar Torino. I love their sandwiches, made with fresh bread delivered every morning. The fillings are made with quality cured meats, all sorts of cheeses, freshly cut vegetables, and a wide selection of pickles and preserves in oil. The price is incredible for the quality: a sandwich will set you back 5 euros. For the same price, in the area, you'd end up with a homemade tramezzino, and what's more, half-empty, as sad as a loan shark's debt. They often serve hot first courses, homemade omelettes, and similar meals during lunch breaks. I personally prefer the sandwiches, but everything is on par. The staff is calm and kind, professional people who seem to have come from another era, reminding us how to work. Professional and always low-key, they never show signs of lapses or excesses. Always discreet. I love their way of doing things.

06/10/2025: The essence of my city's history...the owners are expert in their craft...without the affectations and theatrics of inexperienced, tattooed bartenders...Bar Torino is a dimension of simplicity...I go in because I feel like I've gone back in time to a time when the world was untouched. The owners' quiet, reserved style deserves great respect.
